The butt pad should have its own screw at the top instead of using the stock retaining bolt.
If you tighten the top screw tight enough to secure the stock to the tube, then you've already crushed the plastic inside the butt pad.
This could easily be fixed by dropping down half an inch, and adding a separate hole for the butt pad itself... Or simply using a metal sleeve inside the butt pad.
As it, the setup suffers from a design flaw. They know this, that's why they tell you not to over tighten the bolt... Basically you can have a tight stock and crushed pad, or a wobbly stock and uncrushed pad.
    But you can't have both.

Just put a little bit of loc tite on the top screw and gently snug. You dont need to go hulk on it. It's just a butt pad 😂

@@MrLex87 That skrew in question is what holds the stock onto the buffer tube.
It is in fact a design flaw. Because you cannot even get the skrew snug without skrewing up the butt pad. To get the stock to fit even snug on the lower receiver will crush the buttpad. No hulking required.

Your comment is rather old and maybe at that time things were different. I got the skeleton stock yesterday and installed it with the screw as tight as I could until I could not turn it anymore. The pad was not crushed. So maybe they changed the pad to accept this, I don't know. It does not need to be super tight because it's merely holding the stock in place but the actual buffer tube can be tightened down to proper torque spec without worry.

I didn't have any problem with the screw coming loose or the butt pad "wobbling"
I flip back and fourth between the original 1/2" pad, the 1" and winter coat season no pad. Maybe find someone handy with tools to help you out.
Dozens of range trips. Great design.
