Kripal, You brought back memories which are some 35 years old when beer in Goa was sold for 3 rupees and the food was amazingand cheap. I am so much in love with Xacuti gravy and Kolhapuri rasas, I introduced them to Austin. I also introduced Thechas .I love bold signature food and people remember me even after retiring. Great presentation, Great videos and a Great presenter presenting the food....!!! You can make simple masala khichdi sound like an Avadhi or Ambur Biriyani.!!! Keep up the great job.Sir.
Thank you, Chef, always a pleasure to hear of your rich and varied culinary experiences, that too of introducing our cuisine in a foreign land. Speaking of the Ambur Briyani, I may be headed there soon. 😋
No one other than Kirpal sir, can cover Goan food the best way. This video was a surprise for me sir. Watching Goan food after a long time. Loved all the food items showed in this video. The Ros Omelette was a new attraction for me. Thanks for this video sir.
Sir, I have seen above Goan dishes explored by so many TH-camrs. But simply watched because of the way u explores & explains. It's a real treat to watch your videos. If possible please do cover Tilve Bhojnalaya at Donshiwado,Ponda.
But yes. You do eat yesterday's curries in the morning for breakfast. In the old days the earthen pot was used for cooking. With continuous warming the dish the water evaporates making subsequent dish slushy. We live in Mumbai n still have these regularly.
As a local i can say, these dishes are not what we normally eat for breakfast, in Goa we would normally eat our puri bhaji, chana ross, salad bhaji, mushroom bhaji mirchi kapa bhajya and tea. Ross omelette is basically a late night stroll snack. 😋 . In the evenings we love our cutlet bread and sausage bread and pork chop, croquettes and chicken cafreal, Resois okay ill stop, my mouth is watering 😂. For lunch we love our rice curry fish and for dinner bread or poi with chicken and anything n everything else. If you want local stuff u need to dine locally not at hotels. But m glad you enjoy the goan cuisine. Do visit again xx @somegoangirl
Goan sausages are what Goans normally miss and crave for when they are not in Goa and notmally the first thing we have once we return to Goa.. Another variation is the choris pav or sausage pav. Its a sausage sandwich. The best ones are found in Slacette. My favourite is one guy who sits near Agaciam church. A do try the next time your in Goa.
Thank god.. finally u r in Goa.. I was planning to go Goa in December and searching for your video on Goa restaurants.. so now I can make a note of the restaurants and dishes which I can taste in my Goa trip😋😋😋😋
