There is another Sea food restaurant near Shivananda circle called Sea Rock, one among the oldest and visited by celebrities back then. Their palak rice was quite popular. Please do visit the place 😊
From Andhra ...but spent five years in Mangalore and got hooked for the sea food, this place is an absolute delight for any sea food lover ... Strange it may sound , but I can feel the Mangalorean fish aroma sitting anywhere...Nice upload Sir...!!!
Thank you for refreshing my memories 😘 This is my all time favourite hotel When I had first time food there in 1987 Rs .12 for fish thali Rs.4 for bangda fry Rs.2 for extra half rice Total bill was Rs.18 + 5%tax = Rs. 18.90 😊 Every time I visit banglore I'll never miss to visit this hotel

So many memories here. Dad used to take us to this restaurant whenever we visited Bangalore. We used to sit in those side cabins. Nostalgic. Thank you Food Lovers TV for showcasing this nice restaurant. Miss those days of Old Bangalore, Gandhinagar, National Market shopping and of course eating at Hotel Fishland !
Thank you for reviewing this place.. i think every mangalorean staying in bangalore would have dined here at some point.. loved the kori rotti that used to be served here
Good place for seafood lovers. Enjoy the food and stay happy. The ocean covers 71% of the earth and our duty is to keep it clean. Seafood is an asset for everybody. There are many fishermen who are like farmers. This owner maintains a good rapport with his suppliers and gets the fresh stock to serve the best service.
Ammana sir I am a big fan of your videos ...really like the way you present the details about ingredients ...also since I m manglorean really love the sea food n non veg food of Mangalore
I used to have veg thali with boiled rice. It has been a decade since I went to have a thali 😃👍. My dad would have fish thali. I liked the hotel cleanliness. Sweet memories 😋
THANKS FOR ANOTHER CHAPTER OF COASTAL KARNATAKA SEA FOOD ON FIRST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING - HOTEL FISHLAND. HAPPY TO SEE PEOPLE FROM COASTAL PARTS ARE MANAGING TO MAKE BUSINESS EVEN ON THE UPPER FLOORS POSITIVELY.
Bangalore has now come shoulder to shoulder standing for offering best food from any region qlong with Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. May be Kolkata comes next to Bangalore. But Bangalore is the only city that has a food reviewer of 7 star catagory. And that is Kripal . Keep up the great work Kripal.
What a joke. Have you even ever been to Kolkata or Delhi? Bangalore is far behind in terms of good food. Hyderabad is a non veg heaven and Chennai is veg heaven. Bangalore is last in terms of variety as well as price.

I love this place. My dad would take me here when I was a little girl. The place still looks the same. It's been years now. Will definitely visit soon.
I'm sure that if I keep watching your videos I might not just end up knowing about good restaurants but also will manage to astound folks around me with my English!😁

I just love the way you explain, Mr Kripal. One reason for King fish fry not being that great is because fish ideally should not be deep fried. Fish is meant to be tawa fried or for curry. On episode from Salem "Tasting 12 NON-VEGETARIAN DISHES At MANGALA VILAS, SALEM |NAATU KOZHI ROAST, MUTTON CHUKKA, VANJARAM" fish you tried there was spot on. Reason being that was tawa fried.
Been 20+ years since I last visited Fish land Glad to know my favourite crabs and prawns and the crunchy Kane fry are still yum There really is nothing called a sea food over load 😀😀
Too many wonderful memories here. My dad’s favourite restaurant. Seafood is unbelievable but you should try some of their chicken dishes, Chicken 65 at Status next door is probably one of the best chicken dishes anywhere.. Love this place

The king fish had it been tawa fried.. You would have loved it and would have been flaky as well.. Somehow rawa or any deep fried fish is a big turn off for me..
@@FoodLoversTV Agree with you on the freshness may have been not at the expected level. However, the strange thing is about the chef pressing the fish little too much while coating with the rawa. Definitely not the right method as well. Hope to visit the place soon.
Actually there are two types of anjal one is like mara anjal which isn't flaky and taste isn't appealing .. the other anjal is not that firm yet not to soft .. that's the perfect one ..
