Nicolás Massú from Chile, was a real hero because of the way he won that gold!!! Greetings from Chili 🇨🇱
because the way -> because *of* the way :)
@@throwawayaccountjr9003 get a life
@@throwawayaccountjr9003 thanks, Im not a native english speaker.
What way???
zverev: i'll put myself in there
lol
Really he has put himself in there
Del Po winning in 2016 would've been absolutely beautiful. Such a great career marred by injuries.
I wish he had. I was rooting for him so bad.
I was rooting for Andy Murray.
Can't believe neither Federer or Djokovic have won the Olympics.
Federer's best opportunity was london 2012 but lost against murray in the final and Djokovic has said that he will compete in Tokyo and is the favourite to win Gold and I think he will finally win Gold in tokyo
Djokovic missed his chance in Beijing for not securing the smatch, similar to what happened at the 2013 Roland Garros SF.
In Federer's case, the match against Delpo took the toll on him. It is not surprising that when watching the final of London 2012 the Swiss sometimes does not see him running, but at least he has the gold in doubles.
Fed could have won in 2012 if it wasn't for that 30-game set with delpo in the semis IMO
Djokovic will win this time
@@Marco-kn8rg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
5:30 Nicolás MASSU, the best Olympic Athlete of my country
Respect ✊
The one and only player to ever win gold in Singles and Doubles on the same olympics .
More precisely, in the last olympics with BO5 set matches and without rest between them.
Murray winning gold at London 2012 was the best moment!
Football and tennis are the best sports⚽️🎾
and what about basket or badminton
handball
I agree totally they are on another level
agree
What about NBA???
Nicolás Massu 🇨🇱. Leyenda.
Can't believe fish was in contention for a gold.
Not as bad as Rosset winning gold.
Even more than that, he was the favourite against a destroyed Massu
😂 Roddick choked that one away…
Two of my favorite players won the olympic gold in singles. The big cat and the punisher !
I cannot believe it is epic final!
Let's just hope if the legends of tennis would win the tennis tournament at the next summer olympics
Thats one thing Murray can have over Federer, Nadal and Novak. He has two singles gold medals. He has more gold medals than Roger, Nadal and Novak combined.
Nadal has 2 gold medals, since he won one in doubles. Also Murray has played I think 4 Olympics, Nadal has played only 2.
Having two singles gold medals is better than having one singles gold and one doubles gold.
Federer and Nadal have a doubles golds so afraid not its 3 golds to 2
Doubles just doesn’t count. Imagine if nadal had won some doubles grand slams early in his career and people started using that as an argument to say he’s better than Djokovic
Brilliant video.
LEGENDARY
Congratulations- thumbs up done
Lo de massu no se vuelve a repetir en la historia , pero sinceramente creo que si fernando González no se doblaba el tobillo contra fish , ese oro era para el , pero esto fue , fuera de serie sin lugar a dudas.
the thumbnail was mainly Andy Murray, and the first ad that came up was a brand chips with Murray River pink salt and pepper.
Andy Murray and Murray River, what a correlation.
Massu won gold medals in both singles and doubles at the same time.
2012 hits different
Andy 😍
11:18 great, great image
Come on, Andy.
Also I hadn't realised Fernando Gonzales had won three Olympic medals in tennis (gold in doubles, and silver and bronze in singles) - what a legend.
Nico Massu
imagine beating Djokovic and Nadal at the same tournament and still losing
Tbf Nadal and Djokovic weren’t at their best that year, Murray was in the form of his life!
@@noahkhimasia6437 Djokovic was insane until Wimbledon when he lost to Querrey, but he was still decent after that
Mid 2016-Mid 2018 was Djokovic's worst phase. He had an elbow injury.
@@BrandonSG13 true, I meant to say second half of that year.
Give some credit to delpo his game during rio Olympics was insane
I like it
Poor Gonzalez never got the gold
2004 - Bronze
2008 - Silver
same thing with Delpo in 2012 and 2014
@@tu._.1240 *2016 yeah he was also my bet that year when Nadal was out
But he did win gold in doubles with Massu in 2004 - the first ever gold for Chile in the Olympics. Not a bad consolation prize.
Gold in doubles for González with Nicolás Massú, not so bad... 🇨🇱❤️
Gold in doubles with Massu in 2004. He is the only player with the 3 medals.
4:10 Samaranch and Bach
Remember when the players actually used to shake the Chair Umpires hand after the match was over? Those days are long gone.
Nunca contra los grandes
Epic from murray to defend the gold medal holy s…
The video is worth it, if only to see a Delpo rally. Missing him!
Such a shame he’s been plagued by injury 😔 Murray too. It’s so damaging to an athlete’s career
Chi Chi Chi!!!
Sir Andy.

You should label the video every Championship point lmao
All the match points would be a long long video lol
Nadal is the best 🇪🇦

Nope, massú
@@FutHDChannel JAJAJAJAJA
Andre Agassi
Nadal🥰
This is such a poorly worded title. “Every men’s singles gold medal match point at the olympics from 1988 to 2016” is the right way to say it. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
too long
Omg those chileans !!
Wait, what about Vincent Richards?
Medvedev style is a ink to that Russian
3:15 Brooke shields, whatba gorgeous woman
Did that Russian throw his racket into the crowd??. That's dangerous.
Wait... You really called Kafelnikov "that Russian"?!
Against who?
Jordi arese
Federer haven't won olympics, Djokovic haven't won olympics, Sampras haven't won olympics. And these 3 guys won the ATP Finals 16 times combined. What is more prestigious?
In my opinion the only tournament that could be more prestigious than the olympics are the slams...nevertheless is still a big diference between them because one is for personal prestigious and the other is special because it is for recognition of your country and perpetuity of your name, also happens once in four years.
Olympics
@@FutHDChannel The race to ATP Finals is a big part of the ATP Tour. Trust me ATP Finals are greater than Olympics for tennis players.
Name a Swiss tennis player who has won the gold medal in men’s singles in the tennis at the Olympics......yeah....not him 🤷♂️
Marc rosset
And not even Stan
Rosset, Wawrinka and Roger did it on doubles, and Bencic won gold in 2020 women singles
Graf > Capriyati > Davenport > Venus Williams > Justin Henin > Dementieva > Serena Williams > Monica Puig
The guy who lost in the 2000 final looks exactly like Dominic thiem lol
Where are the 1896-1924 match points? The title should say "match points from 1988 to 2016" Not "every match points"
It wasn't in the Olympics from 1928 - 1984, aside from demonstration events
@@dominicjames4848 hjmj
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Miloslav Mečíř is from Slovakia, not Czech Republic
It was Czechoslovakia in 1988.
If memory serves right Roger lost the gold medal as well as Wimbledon to Andy in 2012....heartbreaking
No. Only Olympics.
No Federer won at Wimbledon final 3:1
Federer won the Wimbledon final. The Olympic final was Murray's revenge. And then he went on to win his first grand slam title at the US Open the following month
@@adamnutley600 And then winning his first Wimbledon title the next year.
