An interesting fact. Laser operator No. 27 was in charge of firing the DS-1's laser. He didn't actually know where he was when they blew up Alderaan, and started gaining sympathy for The Alliance after he found out. When Grand Moff Tarkin gives him the all clear, No. 27 kept stalling the firing, repeatedly saying "Stand By! Stand By!". He sacrificed himself for The Alliance and is who I consider to be the true hero of the battle.
There is no luck, there is only the force.
Star trek, balance of terror. Aliens and Alien battles. Do those.
I never knew that the x wings and y wings were the only ships the rebels had
Same. I thought they were a couple squads selected to specially for this mission
12 Red Squadron X-Wings is not Canon. Red Leader has them all check in: Red 7, 10, 3, 6, 9, 2, 11, and 5. 3 groups of 3 each adding up to 18 weird enough, but that's 9. You also see 4 Gold Y-Wings with Red Squad 3 named and 1 unnamed. That leaves filler from the book, earlier screen play drafts, radio drama, video games, card games, and what if books from a certain perspective to fill in green and blue squadron. 9 Green Squad X-Wings covering 4 Blue Squad X-Wings and 4 Blue Squad Y-Wings makes more sense, but none of it is canon outside what is in the movie.
I’m number 2 💩💩💩
