Was there a detachment of the 501st sent to Kashyyyk in canon? I know in Legends that there was a battalion of 501st scouts temporarily attached to the 7th Legion under Commander Faie for the battle of Kashyyyk, but I can't recall a canon source for the 501st being present on Kashyyyk. This isn't me trying to doubt you, I genuinely can't remember the 501st being mentioned on Kashyyyk in canon.

A bit of both. Certain Jedi build strong familiarities with their subordinate clones, as such are often assigned together. However, as we have seen in the series, there are times when clones & Jedi are transferred for various reasons. As such, even when the bulk of Anakin’s forces are on Coruscant, there may have likely been transfers due to the battle just before; certain elements that defended Coruscant could’ve been too injured, thus were rotated into the 501st to rest/heal up, while the competent & capable individuals were deployed with the other units. Thus, despite being a fully & competent unit, there is a huge chance that a seriously good number of Anakin’s forces could’ve actually been these injured clones who just finished recuperating & were cleared for active deployment (additional healing taking place during their ride to the front line), but were suddenly called in for operation Knightfall, thus weren’t operating at their best & such…

I think the tie dagger should’ve been the first order TIE to start with. The tie interceptor was suppose to be an upgrade to the base TIE, you can easily look at the dagger and say it was another improvement in design. Sure, the FO tie was better than an older interceptor with its tech but…why handicap new tech by putting it on an older design?

That leaves filler from the book, earlier screen play drafts, radio drama, video games, card games, and what if books from a certain perspective to fill in green and blue squadron. 9 Green Squad X-Wings covering 4 Blue Squad X-Wings and 4 Blue Squad Y-Wings makes more sense, but none of it is canon outside what is in the movie.

A standard task force would be 5 imperial class Star destroyers with various smaller ships Senior Captains commanded 3 Imperial class Star destroyers same for fleet Captains and commodores except they had 6 light cruisers while various levels of Admirals commanded 5 ISDs but if your lucky and flavored you could get 7 or 9 ISDs.
