Tom. I've followed you for years. Since like 2009. I've been a fan. I've wanted to be your friend for many years. I was lucky enough to meet you at summer in the city 2012?(the one where Sam pepper got his toy bus)
Anyway I think I was kinda rude to you. I kinda got star struck and just went "gahhh I watch you please take a picture with me"
Anyway throughout the years I've watched your highs and downfalls.
I still feel like me and you are really similar and I feel like we could have been good friends had our lives crossed paths.
I think you're an awesome guy. I understand the highs and lows as I too suffer with severe depression and I too went though many years or pushing people away and I even deleted my own TH-cam channel and all social media profiles.

It was hard to watch sometimes, but even when you were naive or at your most vulnerable, you were honest with us. And for that you remain my favorite content creator. There's no disillusionment, and I know we're not friends. But I still can't help but feel like you've become such an important part of my own mental health journey. I was 15 when I discovered your amazing "XD random" content and now I'm almost 26. Your content, no matter what it brings to the table (even when it's literally you shaving your head and becoming an egg), always brings me joy. Thank you for all you do.

I don't like how close this all hits to home.
"Fun fact: it still messes you up. Even if you're an adult." Ain't that the fucking truth, happened to me somewhere around 18-20 years old (it was a pretty messy, drawn out process and I was also high a lot during that part of my life), still not over it yet at 23.
Still stuck in the whole "eating and drinking myself to death" stage myself, but still holding onto the faint hope things will work out though.
Glad to see it seems like you're at least doing better, my man. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.

It was really crazy seeing so much happen to tomska and I’m glad that he got better
But it crazy seeing someone I considered a hero go through so many human problems
It actually helped me get through my own depression

It's so incredibly weird watching this back and knowing that I was watching your videos during the times you were talking about. I've essentially grown up on your content - I was thirteen when I first started watching, and now I'm twenty one. I currently suffer from depression and knowing that someone I look up to is similar really... makes me feel better, somehow. Glad to hear you're doing well now - hope I get to that stage one day.
Same thing for me. Fortunately I somewhat overcame my depression in the last two years. It's a slow process but it definitely can get better! Just don't give up a accept the state your in. Remember your not alone and it will get better. I hope the best for you.

Man, I was at middle school to high school when edd died and I only can see in one word; sad. But now I'm in my early 20s I learned that 'sad' becomes a whole word and that is depression. I’m in a rough patch in my life during my mid 20s and watching you chronicle your struggles and successes has brought me some peace tonight. Sometimes I find it hard to think about the future and imagine anything but failure. I’ve sat alone with those same horrible thoughts about weight and the point of going on at all, and it’s brought me some hope seeing this video finally arrive.
Everything in life happens, but I hope what comes next is excellent.

I will never forget Eddsworld and how it made me and my friends laugh endlessly through middle school and high school. When Edd died, it really did feel like a part of myself went with him and I will always miss him. Going back to watch those videos are hard, but man... they bring back a lot of memories.
