Honestly the not-bird in the Toddarina episode is *better* as a comically unrealistic prop rather than as a real bird. It really sells the absurdity that's key to the punchline.
If you don’t throw an absurd amount of trivia at someone while watching a movie you’re just doing it wrong. That’s it.

Always interesting to see behind the scenes it’s easy to forget how much work goes into these short videos
Imagine having your grandma's ashes stored at a church and one day finding her urn empty and seeing this video years later, theoretically possible
when i did a student film in secondary school, i proposed we do a sweet short film in which a teenage lesbian comes out to her best friend. i was overruled and we made a film abt a girl stuck in a time loop that involved a car accident. i feel vindicated. thank u tom.

33:35 Well in fairness the Righteous Bison was added to Team Fortress 2 in late July 2011, whereas I believe the Righteous Bison was actually created, by the original creators, Weta Workshop, around 2009. (Fell free to correct me on that, I'm not 100%)
So assuming you aquired the Bison before July 2011, he was actually telling the truth. You just happened to use the prop well after it was added to TF2 and became popular.
The righteous bison/steampunk gun was actually originally made, and then put into Team Fortress 2 (with permission).
It's a line of collectible props from Weta Workshop; Dr Grordbort's Infallible Aether Oscillators. I'm not sure how they ended up in TF2 but they were cool additions.
