Yet I was obese and had serious type 2 diabetes.... could hardly walk Then my toes got numb and I told my doctor about it. His answer: "We all will get older, I prescribe you Xanax, so you will feel better... your diabetes is well controlled, just take your meds and eat normally." This was my wakeup call... most important day of my life. I went home, did NOT fill the prescription and started educating myself. I learned, that everything my doctor said and everything I thought was truth, were indeed lies. Same day I cleaned out the fridge and pantry and threw several hundred dollar worth of food into the garbage. Then I went shopping for fish, meat, eggs and dairy. It was an expensive day, but the reward was something no money can ever buy. I lost 50lbs (so far) and my blood glucose dropped like a rock. Actually my blood pressure was normal within days, despite I stopped taking all my medications. This was 6 month ago, I still have a lot more to do... I am almost 70 years old and this morning I was running and exercising for 1.5hrs. I strongly encourage everybody to educate themselves about the issue and do exactly the opposite of what DID NOT WORK so far. The Keto doctors here on youtube saved my life and I will tell everybody about it, despite google using an ill advised and misinformed policy stopped the Keto advocates from being found doing a search with "keto" in its name.
@@gtcih no my toes do feel numb until today, but I watch it very carefully. Actually nerve damage is the last thing which gets better, I am told. Important not to walk in cold weather and keep the feet dry, you will not know when your toes get blue and then you have a serious problem.
I grew up eating white bread diced, in a bowl with a heavy layer of white sugar plus milk for breakfast and sometimes my main meal as we were very poor. I paid for that dearly with many health issues. I found low carb then keto and now carnivore and at 82 things are improving. Thank you for what you do ❤
I was told when i was diagnosed with type 2 in 2016 diabetes to eat little and often, have porridge for breakfast. I couldn't understand how i steadily put weight on since then. At the end of my rope on the 17th of August this year feeling old, tired and sick i started Keto and intermittent fasting. Ive watched you and Dr Bob and it all makes sense, im 16lb down, 5½" off my waist and reversed my diabetes and cholesterol is 4.1. My doctor is astounding by me, she actually phoned me after getting my blood results to say so. No turning back for me and thank you.
@gwenj5419 it's awful, my mother had a long painful death because of the advice. I think one of the reasons they won't admit they are wrong because they afraid of being sued.
Purely anecdotal here, I increased protein and fat in our meals, not to outrageous amounts but enough that we don't experience "hangry". We stopped drinking sugary drinks ,limited carbs and stopped even buying junk food which has allowed myself and my spouse to effortlessly lose weight. As an added positive we are also spending less on our groceries.
My wife and I went to animal based food 1 time per day. After a few months we now rarely crave a breakfast or lunch. We shop for beef on sale and freeze it. Wife gets filet mignon and I get a ribeye every night. A couple of eggs each. Some spicy Cajun sausage with no added sugar. Our daily food expenditure is about 15 bucks each. Far less than when we ate 3 meals plus snacks. And then there's the medications that we don't buy or need anymore. No more regular trips to the doctor outside of the annual checkup. Saving tons of money and feeling so much better.

It gave me cognitive dissonance because we were using the very oil as a super healthy salad dressing. I was like does that thing oxidises in my blood? I have this man to thank for explaining that nicotine alone damages my arterial endothidial cells the same way as sugar, and im officially giving up vaping today. I work in a 2 week fly-in camp setting, with no more vape supplies, to force me to abstain. Will be a rocky road for a few days, but well worth it. Thanks for all of your information, as this has been weighing heavily on my concience, combining nicotine with high serum cholesterol, and gave me the drive and motivation to finally quit. Have been keto for 1.5 years, removed arthritic pain, digestion issues, lowered blood pressure (nicotine keeps me on lowest dose, I'm sure), and as a side affect, brought my weight down from 242 to 183lbs. About a year ago I tried the vegan diet for a month. I was always hungry, always eating, and gained weight. A couple months ago I went with the Keto diet. I am eating twice a day, intermittent fasting daily, and rarely hungry. And, I have also lost over 25 pounds.
My parents thought that giving us corn flakes was healthy. In comparison to Frosted Flakes it probably was. As a kid, I could eat half a box in one sitting. If they only knew that a couple of eggs was actually better for us and more satisfying. Marketing. Bruce Jenner on the Wheaties box was so misleading.

When I was a child we were very poor. My cousins just ate margarine because my aunt thought that was healthier but my mum gave us a choice: eat margarine if eating bread and jam, but butter if you just wanted bread and butter. Sadly my cousins have all passed away while we (my two brothers and I) are still here. Thanks mum!
I cut the obvious sugars out of my diet many years ago, As I got older rheumatism and arthritis set in. 5 years ago I started to change my diet, I now know it as Keto and Carnivor. I am now 81 years old my walking stick is hanging Unused outside by the front door. It Is Amazing the damage that a bad diet can do. But it is more Amazing how quickly a Keto or a Carnivor diet can reverse some of the damage and make a vast difference in your life.
When it comes to the argument that a vegetarian diet is biblical, I always refer people to Romans 14:2 "One person's faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables."

Im binge watching your videos, and they really do give me strength to stay away from foods and drinks that harm my liver. Im down to 116.6 lbs, 5' 4, A1c 5.2 and looking more athletic.Im 64 yrs. My jowls are almost gone! Now to to do a stretch and strengthen class to fine tune. I live at a snowbird mobilehome park in SE Cali. I see alot of unhealthy seniors here, it saddens me. Another way that these low fat, plant based diets are being forced on us is in institutional care. Nursing homes, hospitals, and school lunches all are required to present these regimens. My elderly mother was given mostly carbohydrates with some meat, but only low fat. Sugar added to make it palatable, no salt. At the end it was mostly Ensure. No wonder she had dementia. A long life, but with no quality of life. I fear for what I will be required to eat when I am in her position.
You are totally right. Incompetent treatment for diabetes put my husband in a premature grave. He took statins as ordered and still had 2 heart attacks. Never once did any medical provider advise him to use a low carbohydrate diet. Just follow the guidelines and keep eating cereal and other junk. They just pushed more and more drugs. He paid the ultimate price at age 67. Needless to say, we are doing things differently in this house now.
I agree with everything that you said. When I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, the food on our school lunch menu was appetizing and included animal products. Lots of milk, cheese, chicken and beef. Kids were much healthier then. We had maybe 1 fat kid in our class. Today that would be 75% of kids.
Growing up we had 2 kinds of breakfast. Cooked breakfast, which was bacon or sausage and eggs; and fend for yourself breakfast, cereal or cereal bars. Weekends and holidays we had cooked breakfast.

there are still carnivore influencers who say eat breakfast, at least 30gm protein, I don't like breakfast, I love breakfast food(eggs/bacon) but not in the morning. I usually eat at 12pm, and between 4-5pm. I am plugging away at losing weight again, and at 68 not an easy task. easing back into carnivore after a break with keto...love your videos

My naturopath wife believes many people have the evening meal to late ,hence not hungry in the morning, she allso emphasises gut health much more than even you, we as a traditional thing grow vegetables to supliment food and all this carb addiction sounds a bit over the top but is apparent at the supermarket seeing what goes through .i enjoy your program very much and at 62 have lost 4 kilo's this is fun and encouraging for me. If a patient is fortunate to have a progressive doctor such as yourself, you stand a fighting chance to correct the metabolic damage we have done to ourselves over our lifetime. Unfortunately for many patients, their family physician too has been corrupted and mislead by the same plant base juggernaut. That also includes the pharmaceutical and insurance industries who both play their part in discrediting and deny covering the progressive options that doctors and practices like your own are offering.

She fattened me up and now 6'4" and 230. My mother apologized to me for giving me "all that cholesterol". It really depends. I like my breakfast because it keeps me going. Not always I have a chance to cook proper lunch, it allows me to avoid having caffe on an empty stomach etc. I’m chronic migrainer so having regular meals are crucial for me . I’m on low carb and I would eat mostly meat, eggs and butter. And my breakfast will be eggs, meat and butter… but my body need breakfast 🤷🏻♀️

Good way to get our grass-root movement into main stream. Thanks to Dr. Rob, I no longer binge eat (60 years of doing so), got rid of all of my medications, A1C is down from 5.7 to 5.0 and am metabolically healthy. So thankful for this way of eating.
Absolutely brilliant! In the early 90s my father was relatively healthy, but was diagnosed with type two diabetes. His doctor put him on a "healthy" vegetarian diet and told him to eat lots of healthy breads and grains and pasta along with fruits and vegetables. His diabetes accelerated out of control until he was found dead in his bed one morning.

This narrative is so ingrained in our society. I just saw a nutritionist because I needed to see them before I could be prescribe a medication. Wow, the food I was told to eat was shocking. Lots of “healthy carbs” bagels, bread and low fat chicken and Turkey. 1/2 of my plate needs to be vegetable. 1/4 carbohydrates and 1/4 lean proteins. Who do I get enough protein in my diet by eating this????
I got the same eating list from a new PCP a couple of years ago. After I told her I lost over 100 lbs doing Keto the previous 18 months. I told her "what makes you think I'm going back to that way of eating?" She told me it's the recommended diet. SMH. I took the paper crumpled it up and it soon became a new cat toy lol.

100% it's industry (money) influenced. Governments see the benefit on this as well so go along with it.. i would speculate that in their interests, there are perks(bribes) to them from Industry, plus it makes people (who eat less fat/meat) more obedient, and lowering lifespan reduces the pension cost that government pays for from taxes. There's probably countless more complexities behind it all. It can be futile trying to tell others so at the very least, use this precious knowledge to benefit your kids and their generations after. Kids raised with proper animal foods are CLEARLY better-developed from it. Sadly many kids are eating diets based on wheat and seed oils such as lunch boxes with chips/sandwiches/crackers/sugary snacks and drinks... no meat or quality dairy. It's a shock when you are first aware of it and look at food labels, how many have Wheat and Canola/Soy oil as the first 2 ingredients. Canola Oil has replaced real fat in the vast majority of products so you need to be very aware as a consumer and as a parent, but if you are, you are so much better off than 95% of others unfortunately. Lunchbox ideas for parents that are convenient and kids love: mini meat skewers, cheese bites, berries (for those who add low sugar fruit), yoghurt, meatballs (pork/shrimp combo is great or any other meat), prosciutto etc.

My parents thought that giving us corn flakes was healthy. In comparison to Frosted Flakes it probably was. As a kid, I could eat half a box in one sitting. I enjoy your content. I watch often. All seems reasonable to me. At 64 years old, I was taught to hate and avoid "fat". I have changed my ways.
When I was a child we were very poor. My cousins just ate margarine because my aunt thought that was healthier but my mum gave us a choice: eat margarine if eating bread and jam, but butter if you just wanted bread and butter. Sadly my cousins have all passed away while we (my two brothers and I) are still here. Thanks mum!
You have said everything that they don't want said. After 9 months of Carnivore, you have outlined everything I have been thinking.
I cut the obvious sugars out of my diet many years ago, As I got older rheumatism and arthritis set in. 5 years ago I started to change my diet, I now know it as Keto and Carnivor. I am now 81 years old my walking stick is hanging Unused outside by the front door. It Is Amazing the damage that a bad diet can do. But it is more Amazing how quickly a Keto or a Carnivor diet can reverse some of the damage and make a vast difference in your life.
When it comes to the argument that a vegetarian diet is biblical, I always refer people to Romans 14:2 "One person's faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables."

Im binge watching your videos, and they really do give me strength to stay away from foods and drinks that harm my liver. Im down to 116.6 lbs, 5' 4, A1c 5.2 and looking more athletic.Im 64 yrs. My jowls are almost gone! Now to to do a stretch and strengthen class to fine tune. I live at a snowbird mobilehome park in SE Cali. I see alot of unhealthy seniors here, it saddens me. But I have turned around 3 so far! Wish you could come here and do talks!

Another way that these low fat, plant based diets are being forced on us is in institutional care. Nursing homes, hospitals, and school lunches all are required to present these regimens. My elderly mother was given mostly carbohydrates with some meat, but only low fat. Sugar added to make it palatable, no salt. At the end it was mostly Ensure. No wonder she had dementia. A long life, but with no quality of life. I fear for what I will be required to eat when I am in her position.

You are totally right. Incompetent treatment for diabetes put my husband in a premature grave. He took statins as ordered and still had 2 heart attacks. Never once did any medical provider advise him to use a low carbohydrate diet. Just follow the guidelines and keep eating cereal and other junk. They just pushed more and more drugs. He paid the ultimate price at age 67. Needless to say, we are doing things differently in this house now.
I agree with everything that you said. When I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, the food on our school
lunch menu was appetizing and included animal products. Lots of milk, cheese, chicken and beef. Kids were much healthier then. We had maybe 1 fat kid in our class. Today that would be 75% of kids.
We ran around outside too. We had recess and gym. We didn’t get Pong as a video game til I was in my teens.

Growing up we had 2 kinds of breakfast. Cooked breakfast, which was bacon or sausage and eggs; and fend for yourself breakfast, cereal or cereal bars. Weekends and holidays we had cooked breakfast.

there are still carnivore influencers who say eat breakfast, at least 30gm protein, I don't like breakfast, I love breakfast food(eggs/bacon) but not in the morning. I usually eat at 12pm, and between 4-5pm. I am plugging away at losing weight again, and at 68 not an easy task. easing back into carnivore after a break with keto...love your videos

My naturopath wife believes many people have the evening meal to late ,hence not hungry in the morning, she allso emphasises gut health much more than even you, we as a traditional thing grow vegetables to supliment food and all this carb addiction sounds a bit over the top but is apparent at the supermarket seeing what goes through .i enjoy your program very much and at 62 have lost 4 kilo's this is fun and encouraging for me.

If a patient is fortunate to have a progressive doctor such as yourself, you stand a fighting chance to correct the metabolic damage we have done to ourselves over our lifetime. Unfortunately for many patients, their family physician too has been corrupted and mislead by the same plant base juggernaut. That also includes the pharmaceutical and insurance industries who both play their part in discrediting and deny covering the progressive options that doctors and practices like your own are offering.

My mother fed me eggs after I was born premature back in 65. Birth weight was 2 kilos. She fattened me up and now 6'4" and 230. My mother apologized to me for giving me "all that cholesterol". She didn't live long enough to learn that she did the right thing and that the "cholesterol in eggs" danger was a farce.

I remember the day margarine showed up on our family table- my parents worked so hard to follow that f***ing diet, killed my dad- in less then 5 years, then as an RN I’m preaching that horseshit , had cardiac stents twice, overweight, tried Atkins diet- but got scared, then realized I was prediabetic(what?….I’m eating right), talked to my GP, he told me he didn’t study nutrition,(really!!!!)…..the diabetic nurse said, only one thing! - “eat only one piece of fruit per day…”, I was dumbfounded ! That’s not Canada food guide! Then I found a TH-cam “plants are trying to kill you! “…. Haven’t looked back! Thanks….
It really depends. I like my breakfast because it keeps me going. Not always I have a chance to cook proper lunch, it allows me to avoid having caffe on an empty stomach etc. I’m chronic migrainer so having regular meals are crucial for me . I’m on low carb and I would eat mostly meat, eggs and butter. And my breakfast will be eggs, meat and butter… but my body need breakfast 🤷🏻♀️

I have sent a link for this video to News Nation and suggested that they do an in-depth study on all of this. It's the only news channel that I trust these days. Good way to get our grass-root movement into main stream. Thanks to Dr. Rob, I no longer binge eat (60 years of doing so), got rid of all of my medications, A1C is down from 5.7 to 5.0 and am metabolically healthy. So thankful for this way of eating.
Absolutely brilliant! In the early 90s my father was relatively healthy, but was diagnosed with type two diabetes. His doctor put him on a "healthy" vegetarian diet and told him to eat lots of healthy breads and grains and pasta along with fruits and vegetables. His diabetes accelerated out of control until he was found dead in his bed one morning.

This narrative is so ingrained in our society. I just saw a nutritionist because I needed to see them before I could be prescribe a medication. Wow, the food I was told to eat was shocking. Lots of “healthy carbs” bagels, bread and low fat chicken and Turkey. 1/2 of my plate needs to be vegetable. 1/4 carbohydrates and 1/4 lean proteins. Who do I get enough protein in my diet by eating this????
I got the same eating list from a new PCP a couple of years ago. After I told her I lost over 100 lbs doing Keto the previous 18 months. I told her "what makes you think I'm going back to that way of eating?" She told me it's the recommended diet. SMH. I took the paper crumpled it up and it soon became a new cat toy lol.

100% it's industry (money) influenced. Governments see the benefit on this as well so go along with it.. i would speculate that in their interests, there are perks(bribes) to them from Industry, plus it makes people (who eat less fat/meat) more obedient, and lowering lifespan reduces the pension cost that government pays for from taxes. There's probably countless more complexities behind it all. It can be futile trying to tell others so at the very least, use this precious knowledge to benefit your kids and their generations after. Kids raised with proper animal foods are CLEARLY better-developed from it. Sadly many kids are eating diets based on wheat and seed oils such as lunch boxes with chips/sandwiches/crackers/sugary snacks and drinks... no meat or quality dairy. It's a shock when you are first aware of it and look at food labels, how many have Wheat and Canola/Soy oil as the first 2 ingredients. Canola Oil has replaced real fat in the vast majority of products so you need to be very aware as a consumer and as a parent, but if you are, you are so much better off than 95% of others unfortunately. Lunchbox ideas for parents that are convenient and kids love: mini meat skewers, cheese bites, berries (for those who add low sugar fruit), yoghurt, meatballs (pork/shrimp combo is great or any other meat), prosciutto etc.
The founders of Kellogg, at their last shareholder meeting ask that gmo be taken out of their cereals. They were voted down. Take a look at who the shareholders are. All will be revealed
