I loveee fatal frame, for it gives you the horror feel and the feeling of panicking cause you don't wanna die, I miss games like this, the games that make you feel like the protagonist and feel scared and anxious to the point you panic a little

fnaf was the first horror game that i played, good memories
Mine was slender (when it was still scary), but I went to outlast couple of years later and then got hooked on horror.
I was too scared to play it myself when it came out xD but now its one of my fav games

Five Nights at Freddy’s is the only camera-themed game franchise that always send a shiver in my skin. The other 9 never frightened me that much.

First horror game using a camera as a weapon was Fatel Frame. Still one of the best games I've ever played

A neat thing about the Fatal Frame series: Japan had a Fatal Frame II attraction [with Sae chasing after you] as well as a cell phone AR game [which was very advanced for its time].
For the latter, think Pokemon GO! but with ghost encounters instead of throwing balls at critters.
They make the games so more scary! XD
Found Fatal Frame 1& 2 at thrift store, and man it startles me so much to hold up the camera to have a ghost right in my face

I still haven't finished Fatal Frame and I got really far, but I got stuck and scared. I have the sequel Crimson Butterfly, but haven't played it yet.
I will say this out of the horror games I have played Fatal Frame is still the scariest because I have been scarred for life just by trying to go downstairs.
When I played this game and yes, in the dark, one of the scariest moments was when I got to the landing on the stairs and was about to make my way down there was a spirit that came out of nowhere and I screamed bloody murder. I woke up the whole house and decided to put the game aside momentarily and play God of War.
I got further, but couldn't finish it, way too scary. Someday I will beat it.
I think for me the next scariest game is Until Dawn because of the jump scares you'd expect and not expect, but the overall tension it brings throughout the gameplay, plus that damn butterfly effect is cool.
Although if I played Emily Wants to Play that would definitely be scary.
Fatal Frame I made porches terrifying [thanks to the ghost that would lunge out and grab your ankles]
Fatal Frame II made stairwells terrifying [thanks to the falling ghost that jumps off of them]
Fatal Frame III made crawlspaces terrifying [thanks to the mandatory crawling ghost fight]
I have yet to get ahold of the others, but Tecmo is fantastic with the environmental setting, sound design, and knowing how to make a player face the terror head on.

i had played the blair witch game 3 times, its honestly amazing its beautiful but damn terrifying
near the end honestly made me cry, if you havent played it or are thinking about it, its worth it in my opinion, the visuals are amazing and it really messes with you and yes there are many jumpscares

While Spirit Camera is a spin off of Fatal Frame, I guess it utilising the DS camera instead of in game too does excuse letting it have an entry of its own. Either way, best series hands down.

I'm trying to find a game from like 2017 or 2018 or something, where you're stuck in a house. The game is 1st person, you have a camera or phone or something that also shows the view of the monster. So its 1st person for you, and 1st person for the monster on the camera thing your character holds.

Ah yes Fatal Frame easily one of my favorite Horror games of all time that game by far made me get terrified especially the Blind Ghost from the first game and the Falling woman ghost from the 2nd game ^^;
I think shutter is based on a classic horror movie it tells a about a girl who discoverd her boyfriend had a girlfriend too and he kills her now her ghost now haunts the boy the ghost just trying to warned the girl that her boyfriend kills her

That was most likely Theresia. All the environments in that game minus the 3D stuff were drawn by hand.

Can you make a top ten lists of horror games that relies on technology? Because this list reminded me a game that goes by a girls name were you have to watch the monitor to see which lights are running out of power and goes to that light to recharge it.

@@ClearLoki But FNAF has power managements and sometimes the tools didn't work and Freddy is pretty undetectable which can cause a panic attack, not to mention you don't know the mechanics of Foxy before night 3 and you don't know G.Freddy attacks before you encounter it. Also FNAF has some creepy ambience and has more replaybility thanks to Custom Night. Even tho I might agree that Outlast is better than FNAF, I don't agree about FNAF just has jumpscares.
