- There are many horror games out there and most seem fairly obvious, however there are some games that present themselves as cute and innocent but are in fact scary and disturbing. These horror games may at first seem cute and friendly but soon they reveal their true nature, to terrify, scare and disturb those who play them. It’s amazing how Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion seems to be a “cute” and funny game at first until it turns tense and grim when the Specimens are introduced.

It's obvious that the coom chalice dev's game is scary, because it's, well, a yandere simulator.
Also, I think Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion is scarier, along with Eversion, because the more you play, the scarier the games become. Not to mention that the games keep you on edge all the time, giving you an uneasy feeling during the whole gameplay.
Bendy is also under the genre of horror: "Survival Horror".

I’ve watched letsplays of all these games by multiple people, but Doki Doki is the only one I spent time playing myself. I went through every girl’s route multiple times, and it is a great game although I couldn’t get the every girl cutscene. Idk why

I literally been in love w ddlc every since it came out. Its SO dark but its so amazing. Also, a cute but "scary" (not scary, just disturbing) game called Omori is perfect for this! Its about a boy named Sunny who's sister died, and he copes by creating a world in his dreams where him, his sister, and their friends. I left out a lot becuase its a spoiler but ever since i played it im literally so attatched.

I've come up with a kinda dark RPG called 'Please Complete The Simulation' which references to popular RPGs and despite mot being scary is definitely unnerving with the white empty halls you traverse as you continue down the 'maze'.
