I love it ... I love Godavari ... My mom used to put 1 or 2 or 5 rupee coin in it. 🙏🙏🙏. She used to say, it's Ganga (Goddess) while traveling in train.

I TRAVELLED BY HOWRAH MAIL FROM CHENNAI TO RAJAHMUNDRY IN MID-AUG 1983. GODAVARI RIVER WAS AT ITS FULL FLOW AND THE TRAIN PASSED OVER THE GIRDERLESS OLD BRIDGE (NOW DISMANTLED). WITH THE WATERS OF GODAVARI JUST INCHES BELOW THE TRACK LEVEL AND ITS BROAD WIDTH COVERING THE HORIZON, IT WAS APPEARING AS IF THE WHOLE TRAIN WAS FLOATING AND MOVING FORWARD OVER WATER. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A MAGNIFICIENT SIGHT THEREAFTER.

I've traveled many times through this ...and everytime it's damn scary ...its one of the longest bridges and I cudnt wait for the train to come out of the bridge....and then ..after a while it passes through krishna river another nightmare ... but the worst nightmare is this one...Godavari ...breathtakingly fearful and beautiful at the same time ...
I have travelled by this train over this bridge several times from 1989 till 2003. Quite a magnificent sight and experience it is.
K Srinivasan I have also travelled by coromandel express over this bridge from June 1995 to 1997 6 times once in 6 months yes its magnificent Bridge and Beautiful River Godavari this river is comes in our prayer for Abhishek' Kalasa pooja

This is so nostalgic..i have in my childhood for 16 years traveled two times every year from ranchi to Kerala and crossing this river was an adventure in itself. I used to throw 5 rupee coin everytime after asking for a wish.. Indian railways has always been. So special
In olden days, coins were made with copper and no chemical factories to pollute the rivers, so water was so pure,clean & safe to drink directly, so if u throw a copper coin in river , water will get purify and drinking that water is good for health..

Recently I had been to Pithapuram & also visited Rajmundry. It was nice experience to travel on this Bridge.
River Godavari might be originated from Nasik Maharashtra but it is the Life line for Telugu states( both Telangana and Andhra)
the water coming from maharastra is very less into andhra ,,,most of the water belongs to subrivers indravati sabari pranahita and vagus

Few of my friends joked about Coromandel express - the entire train should be painted white with red cross, like ambulance. This train usually carries hundreds of patients from Calcutta to Chennai and Vellore. All these patients have sad stories to tell about terrible healthcare conditions in Calcutta and west Bengal in general.

I have traveled in this train and the story is some what true but not everyone in the train are patients.
Even Bangalore gets patients from WB. Sad scene. Those who say highly educated, skilled, intelligent, forward thinking to themselves travel to other places for basic.
@@shobhaprabhu4799 Ok, generalization alert. When someone says people in WB are "highly educated, skilled, intelligent, forward thinking", doesn't mean all people belong to that category. It is like telling every city in Karnataka is like Bangalore, and all people in Bangalore are IT professionals.

I traveled coromondal Express to going for chennai and crossing this godavari bridge at night time.This time all is half sleeped but I cannot sleep I see long because enjoyed this beauty of the second long river.

I crossed this bridge in the year 2007 January and I stayed at Rajamundry for 5 days and there's a park as well on the bank of the river. It was a great feeling to watched train crossing the bridge.

I had travlld in Coromandel Exp train in 1980 .From Chennai Egmore to Lhurda Road, Orissa, .I have seen this rly bridge.

I have been traveling on this from age 6 months until say nearly 30 years age. Regularly. All the rivers are a treat. Godavari gives you that feeling you are challenging God!!

I remember travelling in Coromandel in 1977. The coaches had a lovely livery. It had 3 halts, Vijayawada, Waltair(Visakhapatnam) and Bhubaneswar. It was diesel all the way. The journey took 25 hours approx.
must be lovely memories ... now its gone to the drains with more and more stops .. whereas journey time remains the same!

I enjoy traveling by train and feel exhilarating when trains go on bridges and in tunnels and through jungle areas as it is a beautiful scenery experience we go through and it makes our spirits attain so much happiness and solace. Though I don't know swimming I enjoy the train over bridges exceptionally the Godavari river bridge.

Pramit , seeing the video just now . Rajahmundry town is my Mashimaa Badi . I have taken dip in this holy river so many times . For the people of South India this river is considered as equal to the the Holy Ganges .

It has always been uncomfortable whenever Coromondal Exp accelerated after this initial bend. The ever increasing deafening sound from the metal bridge adds to it. As a passenger I was like - "It's okay to be a few minutes late. We're Indians, we'll manage. Why rush?" The loco pilot however couldn't care less.
I however loved it 😄 being a railway enthusiast.
@@pramitronria In general, I love it too. I started to travel in this train in 2003, little after the horrific Rafiganj incident of HWH Rajdhani. Seen the wrecks myself - it was a spine-chilling memory back then.
