    I would love to see a follow up video on this. How is it holding up and how many miles have you put on it so far?

    Enjoyed the video. Great presentation. Deciding if our daughter (who is a skateboarder) could use this on a college campus? She's killing us on the daily scooter rentals and Uber ride fees.

      I've had one for 3 years and they are amazing. Well designed, sturdy and an surprisingly quiet ride given it weighs about 50 lbs.
      The biggest learning curve is remembering you steer with your feet and not the handle bars.
      The Elite and Elite/Pro are for everyday street riding and/or commuting. If you're looking for an off-road experience, the rover is the scooter of choice. It does go faster, and depending on where you live, you may be required to register it.

    This was the most entertaining & informative video on the CB Rover. I'm considering getting one and fortunately I live here in So. Cal. where CB has their offices so I can test drive one. Thanks Peter, you are so entertaining and pretty humorous, too. Got me chuckling while enjoying watching your maiden voyage on the Rover.

    Thank you for this video. No offense but this is the only video I could find where the rider wasn’t an experienced skater/scooter driver with the physique of a Greek god. Gave me the confidence to get on this thing!

    A question to a Panda-Golfer...I've been comparing the Cycleboards' "Golf" and the "Rover". I am a golfer and would mostly use it for that, but I live on a pretty steep (smooth, paved) hill and am concerned with the torque to climb home after a round of golf. Q: is the Rover the same unit with faster speed (25+MPH)? Why is is it important for the "Golf" to only go 13 MPH? I was thinking of getting the Rover and installing the Basket and rigging a golf bag holder...What's the difference? (sorry to bother you all about this but I am hoping Panda would take his CB out to the Golf course (might have to wait until Spring).

      It’s awesome, but I use it in the medium speed setting. I haven’t taken it golfing yet, but I’m tempted to!

    Let go of the brake handle. You steer it with your body not your hands. Lean back and enjoy the ride

    Thank you for your very thorough review. I am considering buying one of these. Is it really about 85 lbs?

    • @petervonpanda
      @petervonpanda  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I think that's pretty accurate. It's heavy. The battery is probably most of the weight.

    For the price, it's not bad. I paid $2k for an electric skateboard. But the size is a deal killer.

    Is this a Gen 1 or 2 rover? Hard to get information on the web as to the differences between the 2 Gens.

    • @saja7366
      @saja7366 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Gen1/Gen2 were basically the same model - a few improvements made with the latter. Sadly neither are available in the US. Elite Pro is now their base model.

    I guess you play golf cause I see a golf bag in your garage. I wonder why you don’t get the Cyclegolf instead. I’m just looking for some video of the review on the cycle golf. It similar to the rover they say.

    $2700 for a motorized skateboard with handlebars? they're smoking crack, you could get a used car for that much
