Linda is very generous here. He can only sing that one way, in that one pitch, and she showed her skill and taste by using her voice just to elevate him.
Actual neither, the neurological condition is similar to Parkinson which her maternal grandmother suffered from. Linda suffers from progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) which has forced her into retirement with her last concert in 2009.
Aaron and Linda were requested to not to react in a personal way towards each other. Keep a distance from each other. They showed them. There is only a great friendship between them and respect of each other’s talents.
My favourite duet ever. Love both of these ppl. And this particular performance is my favourite. Despite being a success by this stage, Aaron was incredibly nervous that night and Linda was keeping him with her.
Aaron Neville is a singer and a member of the iconic music group "The Neville Brothers". By the way, they were born, raised and lived in New Orleans all of their live.
Even their vibrattos were in sync. Aaron definitely shines in Tell It Like It Is, 1966. I was a teenager. Loved it then and it is still one of my favorite songs. As for Linda, she is a superstar. Her range is incredible as well as the diversity of songs she sings. I often think that now that she can't sing, her joy has been stolen. Truly a loss for all of us.😢
I saw Aaron Neville live. His Acapella singing of Amazing Grace left the whole venue breathless and speechless. Literally. I think it was a full 30 seconds or so after he stopped singing before we remembered to breathe. The standing ovation raised the roof..
@@dgp9627 saw him few times and last in 2018, the man still wows me with his unique voice. I kept looking for him to perform again before the pandemic and then he decided to retire from the music industry, was just bumped about, but happy I got to see him one more time!!
@helenlong6221 @helenlong6221 I'm sorry for your loss. My mother's favorite singer was Eva Cassidy, and we had her music playing for her as she passed. My mom never woke up during those last few days, but we held her hand as Eva sang her gently into that long, dark night.
Linda was specifically told NOT to kiss Aaron as it might be offensive to some people and to take a stand and kick that nonsense attitude in the ass, she did JUST that. They were a great duet and she is always a class act!
Loved your review and your reaction. You made no unnecessary interruptions. You made this even better by just listening and saving your thoughts till the end. Thank you. 😊
Still enchanted after all these years with these two and their collaboration, not disregarding how amazing they are individually. I bought that album when it came out and it is still incredible.
I just love it when I see reactors do this song. Everyone has already reacted to Linda, so they go on and on about how wonderful her voice is. Then Neville comes out and starts singing and every reactor is floored. I had the good fortune of having heard Neville before this song came out so when I heard he had a song with Linda I was super excited to hear it. I will drop whatever I am doing when this song comes on to listen to it.
Aaron Neville and his brothers are huge New Orleans icons. Linda was visiting New Orleans, went to Aaron's home bar when he called her to the stage, they sang a couple of songs and she very much likes to rehearse. She sang and extended the prospect of recording in the future. When they first recorded the song he told her he would see her at the Grammys, this was filmed at the Grammys where they won Song of the Year later that night. Linda received some backlash from the kiss she gave him at the end of the video. To know more of Linda you can watch the documentary "The Sound of My Voice" detailing the incredible career she had. You will find out just how much she shaped the music world.
Saw her in college. She was a warm up act for Paul Simon. Her voice was amazing. This song was on the radio all the time. Duets became a thing and great artists would pair up for a song.
Linda’s album CRY LIKE A RAINSTORM HOWL LIKE THE WIND features several duets with Aaron Neville. All the songs are magnificent. Their voices blend so well. Please check out more of Neville’s work.
First Linda Ronstadt song I ever heard was in the 1960's, when she was with the Stone Poneys. It was called Different Drum and david25211 has the best stage performance I could find. I think that one made her a star!
Aaron Neville and his brothers could really sing as a group and especially Gospel music! Loved your reaction and loved the music! From the State of Minnesota U.S.A.
Hard to describe that sound in Aaron Neville’s voice. Something like a yodel. Controlled nasal. I don’t even know. It was just so unique. And what can be said about Linda other than magnificence? And them together? PERFECTION IN HARMONY! I left this comment before your nasal assessment. You are so RIGHT!
Thank you so much for playing Linda. I was lucky enough to see her when I was 12 and then followed her career for the rest of my life until she couldn’t sing anymore from Parkinson’s. I got to see her live 56 times doing her rock country pop, opera, Mexican, mariachi, and big band musicclearer more emotional more powerful more versible more genuine than her. It’s sad she can’t sing anymore, but I got to hear her live and we have all the beautiful recordings and videos of her. I suggest you play Lose Again, Love Has No Pride, and White Rhythm & Blues.
One of the most beautiful duets. Both have fabulous voices. Also check out Linda's first big hit in 1967 "Different Drum" with The Stone Poneys. Other hits were "Hurt So Bad", "You're No Good", "Poor Poor Pitiful Me", "Desperado", "Tracks Of My Tears" etc.
I love Aaron Neville. He's definitely is high in my book, one of the best. His voice is so unique. Then Linda is a perfect match. Put them together and you get dynamite.
I like watching Nick as he listens, he’s so emotive ❤!! This performance is so poignant now, knowing Linda can no longer sing. She’s one of the greats for sure!
What a great reaction to one of my all time favorite songs! I think you are my favorite reactor , because you really *feel* the music, and it shows in your expressions! Thanks for being real, and keep up the good work! ☺
She did another great duet with Peabo Bryson, Somewhere Out There from a kid movie "American Tail". Also another version with James Ingram. She did indeed have an amazing voice!
Echo echo echo 😅
I'm 74 and without a doubt my generation had the best music ❤
100%...I'm a 90s baby and wish I was at your era

I have always thought that Aaron Neville's voice sounds like a musical instrument.
Alto sax
Hands down one of the very best vocal performances ever!!!!!!!
Linda is very generous here. He can only sing that one way, in that one pitch, and she showed her skill and taste by using her voice just to elevate him.
One of the most gorgeous songs ever~ Beautiful voices! Linda Ronstadt has Parkinson's Disease and it breaks my heart So glad we have her music
Parkinson or Multiple sclerosis? I get confused
@ Parkinson’s
Actual neither, the neurological condition is similar to Parkinson which her maternal grandmother suffered from. Linda suffers from progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) which has forced her into retirement with her last concert in 2009.
Aaron and Linda were requested to not to react in a personal way towards each other. Keep a distance from each other. They showed them. There is only a great friendship between them and respect of each other’s talents.
bullshit
I love the way she stepped back and let Aaron Neville shine. That's superstar.
Linda Ronstadt is a GD GOAT. Aaron Neville is a literal force of nature.
Beautifully gorgeous duet. Their voices are perfect together. One of the best duets ever. 😍😊
Linda and Aaron toured this album together...she said it was like singing next to an angel.
Have you ever heard Linda Ronstadt sing opera? She's amazing. I believe her mother was an opera singer but Linda can do everything.
The Neville Brothers are Louisiana legends!
One of my favorite duets - timeless.❤
Everyone has someone they loved and lost and this song mourns them. As a grandma now, this song will always remind of a love in my 20’s. ❤
The best of the best singing with the best of the best 😂😂
Aaron's "Tell It Like It Is" is a must listen!!!
My favorite Aaron song!
These two are music royalty. Stunning performance.
My favourite duet ever. Love both of these ppl. And this particular performance is my favourite. Despite being a success by this stage, Aaron was incredibly nervous that night and Linda was keeping him with her.
They sing so good together. Beautiful song.
Just beautiful. I love Aaron Neville's voice. So unique.
His voice has been called, the voice of an angel!
Ah, I think that's Jon Anderson
@@lesblatnyak5947 sorry do not know who Jon Anderson is, I know he Aaron has been in the music industry referred to the voice of an angel.
@lydmarl.475 The Meeting is a lovely intro to Jon. Aaron has been a gem
Grew up in the 80s we were blessed with amazing music
I'm glad you're here in 2025!!!!! Happy New Year 🎆 🎉
Aaron Neville is a singer and a member of the iconic music group "The Neville Brothers". By the way, they were born, raised and lived in New Orleans all of their live.
Beautiful both of them Thank you💗💖🌸
She was my favorite singer back in the day when she first came on the scene, and will always be one of the greatest of all time imo.
Absolutely a beautiful duet by two unbelievable singers. I have always loved this song 🫶🏻

I'm a 70's girl, my 29 year old son loves the music of the 70's. They didn't even touch on this era enough.. It was a wonderful time to be alive!!!!!
I saw Aaron Neville live. His Acapella singing of Amazing Grace left the whole venue breathless and speechless. Literally. I think it was a full 30 seconds or so after he stopped singing before we remembered to breathe. The standing ovation raised the roof..

I first heard his Ave Maria when my mom was dying - I felt like he was singing directly to my heart. ♥️

Mine too!!!

I remember seeing Linda Ronstadt in Adelaide (South Australia) and she was magical with her dynamic massive voice. Best concert I've ever been to.

He sings with a tear in his voice🥰

Aaron Neville, Bonnie Raitt and Gregg Alman's song " Tell it like it is", is one of the best songs that Aaron Neville ever sang.
