I am 69 and this was the music of my young life. Thank you because it takes me back to a time when great music was taken for granted. Now I can appreciate what my generation had and I have such gratitude.
70 year old lady here with tears in my eyes! This was such a special time in my life! Absolutely love your reaction,Nick! You have a wonderfully expressive face. Thank you for this reaction and thank you Randall for suggesting this!❤️
Nick I am 62 years old, I grew up with the Bee Gees. They started in the 60’s and became successful in late 60’s with the hit Massachusetts They broke up for a short time in the early 70’s and became really successful in late 70’s until Robin and Maurice sadly died by 2012. This song I remember well and particularly this year has made me cry every time I hear it. It was released in 1979 and you are watching the original recording. This year in March I reconnected with a boy who I knew from school We never forged a relationship back in the 70’s as too young but really liked one another. I moved away from the area sadly and we never saw one another again until this year. We reconnected through a fb group from school. When I hear this song, it makes me think of the years we missed, he feels the same but at Least we are together finally on our 60’s. Fabulous song
I love the BeeGees since the 60’s, brilliant singers, songwriters, musicians. They wrote over 1,100 songs, for themselves and for many other artists such as Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Diana Ross, Celine Dionne, Dionne Warwick and more. A very very deep rabbit hole indeed.
Thats the Univers of the Bee Gees. I grow up with the best Group ever. Nobody can switch there Voices like the Bee Gees. Every Song makes me happy. And I sing al the time. Every Day for over 50 years. Amazing Voices Amazing Song Amazing Bee Gees ❤❤❤
I grew up listening to the bee gees, this has become my new favourite hobby witnessing young people in awe with the talent of these great brothers. There are so many great songs to get through. Many thanks ❤😊
❤❤❤ such a classic...there voices are so pure...all proceeds of this song went to UNICEF to educate and feed children all over the world...they have raised millions of dollars over the years, and continue to do so today everytime it plays...
The BeeGees really became popular during the 1970's during the disco/dance era. To give you a brief timeline: They did form in 1958, but they were only kids. They had some early hits in the 60's, but rose to fame in the 70's. They also had about a dozen songs that were performed by others that became hits, too. They are a band that is beyond incredible and once in a generation.
Can’t count the nights spent dancing to their disco songs in the 70s.. but, had been listening to them from the 60s onward. Not only the songs they sang, but the many they wrote for others too! They are ‘legends’!! Great reaction, thank-you! (PS - retired RN here - also recall doing CPR to their music)!! ❤️
Such a beautiful song.... Their songwriting was exceptional...they wrote for so many huge artists....like Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Deon Warwick, Dianna Ross, Dolly Parton all with number one hits.... and so many more....I think the whole Australian female population were inlove with Barry just watching this gorgeous man sing this love song...lol Saying hi from Australia.
Thank you for your sincere reaction to this beautiful song. These talented brothers and their awesome voices and songs will always be the best of the best, on so many levels!!!
Another 70 year old lady here, my favorite group ever, favorite song ever, kept listening and singing it all these years! We had the best music, 1960's to the 1980's!!!!
No other group possess their extraordinary talent. All 4 boys just had it! God-given talent the world hasn't seen since, might I add that they wrote all their songs too!
Nick, bless you and thank you for what you do as a nurse! The Bee Gees being brothers, their voices will blend beautifully thanks to thier unreal DNA! This song is probably my favorite song of theirs. Especially because they donated the proceeds to UNICEF.
They’re brothers and have been singing since they were little, it’s in their DNA I think. Please look at their catalog of songs since early 60’s through the 2000’s. They are magnificent and they’ve written songs for other artists as well. Their little brother Andy was a great artist as well but lost to soon just like Maurice and Robin. Their never be another group like them. Bee Gees fan 4 life ❤️

Nick, I loved your reaction to this song, I could tell that it touched you, the 9:01 way it does those of us who grew up listening to the Bee Gees. Their voices were truly remarkable and one of a kind. I love that some of the younger generations (I'm 78) are beginning to hear and appreciate their music. First time running across your channel, God bless you and thanks to Randall.
Thank you so much for The Bee Gees reaction! A little background: Love your Bee Gee reactions of the brothers (Barry - the tallest with the beard in the middle , Robin, no beard, & Maurice, the shortest with beard - Gibb) who wrote the words & music to all their songs, as well as songs for other artists. They were also Producers and played instruments on their records! They had hits in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s, for a 5 decade career! You can find videos of them performing on TV as early as 1960 when they were just children. Barry, the oldest, is the only one still alive today. He's living in Miami with his wife, Linda, of over 53 years! They also had a younger brother, Andy Gibb, who had a great solo career. He worked closely with his brothers (particularly Barry) in writing, producing, and doing background on many of Andy's songs! Love your reactions. I grew up with the Bee Gees, always great to hear them. Eagles were another great harmony group too. Should react to one of their songs.
Beautiful song....There were three tracks of Barry on each of three parts in two octaves, so that’s eighteen tracks of Barry. Then, three tracks of the three brothers singing together. Absolutely incredible... they are geniuses and kings...FAN4LIFE..ty 4 sharing... and keep going down the rabbit hole it's enormous 😊
Yeah they are awesome. Those are their real voices and they just kept getting better. You looked liked you were going to cry for a minute there. More please. By the way they have a song called Travesty. And they are from the 70's not the fifties. I get goosebumps every time.😍😍😍
When singers harmonize the goal is to just hit their assigned notes together to form chords. Almost no one pays attention to their vibratos being in synchronization. The Bee Gee's vibratos are perfectly in phase, giving them that angelic tone. Sibblings do this, like the Everly Bros harmonies. ☺✌💛, PJ
Great reaction. Like the use of words like fusion and majesty, the salute gesture. These Brothers are Legends. You could do a hit a week and it will take you several years to react to them. These Brothers are Legends!
So wonderful to see the younger generations even give a listen to what my generation fell in love with so long ago. The Bee Gees were just super gifted singers and song writers. If you do any research on them their song writing ability reached many other great artists of the day. Have loved their music from the beginning. Just a suggestion, if you are interested in the older music, try giving Benny Merdones "Into the Night" a listen. It was kind of a one hit wonder but his vocals were incredible. Thanks for the memories, glad you enjoyed. ✌🏼
this song is a hit direct to the hearth....so emotional and full of lyrics of love at the same time....The Bee Gees know how to do that in so magnificent way..!!!
I love ❤️ to see all the reactions to this song… I never get tired of hearing it.. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.. so many people think it’s one person… the harmony is like heaven…
@@CaptnSacto *grin* they were brothers, so probably formed even earlier than that, but thank you. I don't recall hearing their music until mid-late 60's.
This group is so amazing. Over 1000 songs in their catalogue. This song they gave away the proceeds to UNICEF. So far they have raised over 10 million dollars to help kids. Try Fanny be Tender with my love. Great vocal range.
The Bee Gees are 3 brothers, Barry {the oldest in the middle) and Maurice & Robin (the twins) either side. They also had another brother, Andy, a singer who died at an early age. They were born on the Isle of Man (a protectorate of the UK) and then moved to Manchester in the UK. Later on they emigrated to Australia before returning to the UK. They then went to the USA. The have loads of fantastic songs over many genres and decades and also wrote songs for other famous singers like Barbara Streisand and Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers. Barry is the only one left now.
After a hugely successful string of hits, they organized a fundraiser held at the UN and donated the profits from this #1 hit to UNICEF for feeding the hungry children of the world. I believe this video is of their rehearsal for their UN performance. Please react to I COULD NOT LOVE YOU MORE.
In 1997 The Bee Gees did a concert shown world wide on tv in Las Vegas and it was fabulous! You really should watch that because they covered many, many songs. All the Hollywood and Music stars were there to see them for sure. It is about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. long but worth every minute of it. Maybe not to show on your channel because of the length, but for you personally! You won’t be disappointed! Gail
For a sample of their lower range, try 'Nights On Broadway', also the first song they used their high falsettos in, during the middle break. And for another sky-high falsetto tune, try 'Alone', an upbeat, sort'a Beach Boys-ish sound. Maurice hits notes in it that sound more like a flute than a human, singing '...just the beat of a lonely heart'...🔥
Maybe I’m just a bit partial but I believe the caliber of singers that we had back in the day especially the 60’s the 70’s the ‘80’s just can’t be beat thanks for this one one of my favs You should check out some Kansas “wayward son” if you haven’t already

A little bit later than the 50's. 60's and 70's. Staying Alive was disco era, so late 70's.
They formed in 1958. Didn't get popular until the late 60's.

@@CaptnSacto *grin* they were brothers, so probably formed even earlier than that, but thank you. I don't recall hearing their music until mid-late 60's.
They are known for their harmonies nothing like the 3 brothers around 1 mic
About the only song I've ever heard that when you listen to it, you can actually feel it, especially when Barry hits them high notes!
They started in the late 50 but were mainly 60’s and especially the 70’s. They wrote for other artists also.
This song should be longer.. I never get tired of it…
Great reaction Nick. Please try Will You Love me Tomorrow- their tribute to Carol King. Just beautiful 💕

Yes!
Your smile says it all. It's a great song. Their voices are so angelic. Thank you for reacting to this song.
Mind blowing talent! This song has such an ethereal sound. Absolute perfection.
BeeGees reactions are by far my favorite 😌
Barry is the only one left out of the 4 of them. ❤❤❤❤
Jeder für sich hat eine großartige Stimme. Barry singt wie ein Engel. Robin singt super. Hör dir den Song "I started a joke" happy you like it ❤🙂🙂🙂🙂
❤
You can't go wrong with anything that these guys sang
Was re.. record in studio for UNICEF
Maybe I’m just a bit partial but I believe the caliber of singers that we had back in the day especially the 60’s the 70’s the ‘80’s just can’t be beat thanks for this one one of my favs
You should check out some Kansas “wayward son” if you haven’t already
Listen to "Fanny, be Tender with my Love", you won't be sorry...
Harmony is power pop: The Everly Brothers, gosh. I cannot remeber them all. About 5 groups in tge 1950s to 1980s. Its a rare thing to achieve.
