What an exciting ride it's been with Roberto. A real gentleman to start off his farewell address praising Tony Bloom. Call me an idiot, but his speech brought tears to my eyes!!!
While I am commenting here I have to say you Japanese fans have been wonderful all season and I am so pleased that Kaoru Mitoma is taking the team to Japan. I visited Japan 20 years ago and it is a wonderful country full wonderful people.
I'm happy for you Roberto. Thank you very much for being the compass that knew how to manage us in European competitions, knowing that they were difficult waters to navigate, thank you also for that beautiful philosophy that we were proud to imbue in our hearts with those two colors that made me feel proud of my team. thank you Roberto de Zerbi. Brighton forever ⚪🔵
De Zerbi was here 2022-2024! And provided one of the most exciting moments in history. We saw so many players with raw talent like Moises, Matoma, Pedro, MacCalister and so many more!!!
I am very happy that I saw the football that Brighton De Zerbe played. Everything was perfect in the beginning and it was not good at the end. The conditions were prepared for it to end wonderfully, but let us say that it was a very good period. De Zerbe played great matches with a group. Average quality, Brighton City FC can be proud of their attacking football and we hope that continues next season. From 🇸🇦
Fell in love with Brighton since De Zerbi arrived, followed him in Italy and I still regret not coming to watch him and the team live once from London. Glad he received a nice recognition for his amazing work even though he didn’t bring trophies. What an amazing man and great coach he is. Wish he stayed one more year but sometimes in football it’s hard to find the right agreements nowadays. However all the best to this Brighton that has been left with a special legacy and brilliant future if the club will make the right decisions from now on! And all the best to De Zerbi! Hopefully one day he’ll come back when he’s gonna be a complete winner coach and Brighton will become a top club, to make it a perfect fairytale! 🙏🏻💪🏻👏🏻
Good video Thank you Roberto we will always ❤you here ya and all your staff , wish you all the very best best for the future , will follow your progress with interest and ❤
Thank you, Roberto. His large heart and passion for Brighton and football will always be remembered. It was an amazing 2 years, some great football, some forgettable football. It's a shame both the club and Roberto could not compromise on their direction and ideas moving forward. So the club searches for a new manager and RDZ searches for a new club. Wishing them both much success for next season and beyond. Brighton, please keep the door open for Roberto to return someday as manager!
Roberto has had it tough, unfortunately. We've seen how well Brighton played under him when all way going well and our players were healthy... This continued to this season, unfortunately with the stress of european football and the demanding calendar, the squad were stretched thin and injuries were the result of that with the reserves not experienced enough to carry the team to the Top 9!
Unfortunately, this season had not been going well, but I applicate Robert to show his exciting ball in this 2 years. I could have so much fun. Thanks RDZ.
I guess he will go to a club that keeps their good players for a while. We just buy and sell, and that didn't suit him. The best manager we've ever had.
What is Tony Bloom's goal? The sale of Trossard, Caicedo, MacAllister and injuries to existing players destroyed the team. The coach talked about this mid-season. Thanks to Roberto and good luck in your new location.
Yes but he was tough on Trossard, which probably contributed to his leaving. Loaning Deniz Undav said he wasn't part of the plans - yet we needed a goal getter. Roberto rolled the dice on two players of his own choosing - Dahoud and Fati - and they didn't work out. The Albion has a great system for a manager - top facilities, scouting, training, working with young imports, it's a brilliant set up that's sustainable and responsible. Putting demands on the chairman beyond all the above is naive.
Tony Bloom wants to find players that he thinks will suit the playstyle, teach them to fit into our playstyle and then sell them for more than what we paid for them. Make a profit and rinse and repeat. It’s a tried and tested method that works. Without bloom we wouldn’t be where we are today.
The club don't want to, or try to sell players. They just get headhunted by clubs in the top half that are ready to pay higher wages, and tempt the players to become big fish in a bigger pond. The fact is, we do have some of the best players, so when we beat Arsenal and Liverpool, they saw who did it to them. It seems to me that arsenal were particularly underhand in tapping up Trossard. Seems all is fair in nabbing good players off the clubs on the up. Liverpool too spotted the lowball opportunity to snag Mac Allister last year. A young World Cup winner of excellence only getting better in the Premier League, and at a really low price. I trust the club are sealing those loopholes - you can be certain that Tony did not want to see either of the above sold for under 70million each! We moan at Chelsea but we got top dollar for Cuccurella Csicedo and Sanchez. The poaching of our managing staff wasn't good though, so maybe the balance needed to be redressed somewhat.
@@NickPhillips-yf2respent 100 mil in the summer and 30 mill in winter. Selling 2 best players and loosing next 2 best all season through injury might have a part to play.
Its been emotional, not on the pitch but in the dugout!!!! I wish him well, but four league wins since 1st January is not Champion League potential, if Roberto wants to land a big club job. Yes he was exciting, just like swimming with sharks is exciting. You never knew what he was going to say next. Yes, we all want the team to get better, so him talking the talk is wonderful, BUT there are two ways to get to the top. Quickly, by cheating like Mancheater City, or over time in a structured way, the Bloom way. Alas, he only had one way to play and couldn't evolve the team to adjust for the injuries like good managers. And one does have to look at the injuries, were the training methods responsible? Plus with just a single game plan, other teams have found him out. The drop in form wasn't just injuries or as some think a lack of team investment. I now feel FAR more positive for next season. Be really interesting who the next manager is and hopefully all those injuries will be back and fit.
I do to as i was dreading another rubbish set of results under him next season he was getting sacked if he didnt leave anyway appalling stats since christmas as you say just 4 wins.
What he achieved this season after signing his own players rather than what he inherited from potter..look how much brighton dropped in standard, i just dont understand the hype around him, you'll be better off with a manager who's willing to build himself and stick with the project.
Tony ignored RDZ's wish to get 25-30 years old experienced players in winter. That's why RDZ had to use some players for long hours and it caused their injuries. Most of the best players were sold after Potter had left.
Can't just say injuries and all.. they completely derailed the season. He was never going to suddenly turn into a defensive coach, his way no matter what. Still did incredibly well and kept to the long term style and vision. Showed depth is needed to cope with injuries.
