GC1 was my spiritual home, Mon - Fri were of no relevance,... 8hrs on a saturday,.in one place, where the rest of the world outside of those walls no longer existed, in fact, in my mind when I was in there, if I was to walk outside, in my mind it would have not existed,....Paul Van Dyk was always amazing there, so was Matt Hardwick & Scott Bond,......just....well........life changing!

I was fortunate enough to experience the real crasher, it will never leave me... it holds such memories for me, no matter who you were in 'real' life, you went to gatecrasher and you 'belonged'. even now I get chills remembering the feeling the place gave me. Yes.. It will always be with me........
I still remember when Gatecrasher came to Spundae @ Circus. Fawking amazing night it was. They even brought their own lighting. Glad I was born at the right time.
Gatecrasher/Republic was the best club in the UK. Sadly you can only tell the stories to people about legendary nights in there as they can't experience it for their selves
Used to be spoilt for choice in around the midlands, PaSSion, Gods, Crasher .... every weekend you could choose, or when Gods was on Fridays do the full weekend.
Obviously gatecrasher burnt down, but they still have the odd gatecrasher events throughout the year, events such as - Laser unity, the white party, red and black, gatecrasher Classical (which is a sorely fantastic I recommend that to any one) and gatecrasher birthday parties. This spirit lives on, these events are held in area one on burgess street in Sheffield. Shame they didn’t rebuild gatecrasher aka the republic 1, they just relocated it. That’s alright though the events there are great. Best laser and light show iv’e seen and the get the old DJ’s back in for classic trance, none of this commercial rubbish

They fucked themselves after the millenium shambles at Don Valley. I used to go in the late 90's when it really was 'The best club in Britain' and then it went down hill fast. The best club in that area was over the road at europa... Insomniacz. Itwontalwaysbewithyou unless you experienced crasher before it went commercial

The republic was amazing on Monday nights. As was crasher at the weekend. However it had to end or we'd all be absolute cabbages if we carried on.

It burnt down. On 18 June 2007 the venue caught fire and partially collapsed.[1] The building was later demolished. :(

I play classic trance(think Chac-7 Years,BBE-SevenDays and One Week), hard house, hard trance, none of the Clubland bullshit.
