That glare from the sun is actually the feature from Xiaomi called "starburst effect" due to its variable aperture. You can check it out on their product info/specs/feature/details on their website.
I think 14U was clearly the best here in majority of situations. Most natural looking photos and details. Vivo is really struggling hard with over-sharpening, tho a lot of people seem to think that over-sharpening is detail, it's not, the same way a darker photo doesn't mean lack of detail or exposure issues. Plus almost 2x slower shutter speed on average compared to Xiaomi, really impressive job Xiaomi.
I have to agree. The reason Vivo looks so detailed is because they kinda focused on sharpening the image. I can clearly see it in scenes involving foliage. I bet they're applying AI algorithms to sharpen an image while the Xiaomi relies more on its Leica glass. The Xiaomi does get cleaner if AI-assisted zoom is enabled but that's a different story altogether if approximation is involved.

It seems the Vivo X100 Ultra's numerous firmware updates over the past few weeks have improved it a lot and there's plenty more updates to look forward to. It's still not perfect and isn't much of an upgrade over the X100 Pro (which is perfectly well optimized by now and costs a lot less). The blurry long distance zoom photos is a real problem and it's not massively better even in low light against the competition, but it's still noticebly better overall compared to how it was during launch and the main lens and ultrawide still performs well.

Output 25mp pixel binned photos by default, atleast in daylight or when the camera feels there is sufficient light. This way you don't need to overshapen. You will get the natural sharpness. If cost comes into picture, I would say ditch the ultrawide completely. Save cost there. Use those resources for above. But selfie camera must be replaced. Even if we don't get a 15x zoom. Interesting, I have seen different comparisions where at long zooms the xiaomi vs blurry and the vivo was sharp. Maybe there is dirrences between devices, i mean some 14Ultra are sharper than others, and some x100U are sharper than others, OR there was a new update to the Vivo since then.
every youtube is apple fanboy, u put titles "issues for vivo, xiaomi" but not iphone lmao. iphone gets stomped in night time photos and barely keep up in daytime photos
Xiaomi lens reflection is quite severe at night. Overall the x100 is great especially at night. iPhone video zoom is surprisingly good. Selfie iPhone is good. Even the walking video, stabilization is okay. Xiaomi max photo zoom is great.
Strange, I sold my Xiaomi 14 ultra global and I bought the Vivo X100 ultra. For me the Vivo X100 ultra is a lot better. Ben's Gadget Reviews also shows that the Vivo X100 Ultra camera is better than the Xiaomi 14 ultra 👍.
I’ve been eyeing the Vivo since the X100 pro release and now the Ultra. Impressive hardware, but this Constant software update’s fixing to create another problem not so impressive. I have a Pixel 8 with a Beastgrib and some macro, wide and telescopic lenses and results are impressive but a little bit of behemoth, but the quality from the main sensor combined with those lenses, just stunning and worth the hassle. Especially in lowlight. So from micro and again from 18mm to 40mm - 80mm with the help of a little digital x1 x2 zoom , just perfect. Probably have to go with a Telephoto next time. But again preference, I’m like okay with a little bit of soft but without grain in my pictures.
I bought the X100U mainly because it performs the best in low light amongst other flagships. I knew it wouldn't take the sharpest photos at 100x, but who would use it anyways (farthest I would go is 60x)
The phone which is not available globally is straight away out of the league IMO. Better to choose between Android (14Ultra) or IOS (15PM). Simple as that and in this case i would go with Xiaomi for sure.
Hi Sami, please match zoom levels when doing zoom comparison part! 1x to 1x to 1x then 2x - 2x - 2x ON EACH PHONE and so on. Because all we can compare side-to-side is only 15x (60x, 100x) at the end, ignoring all of the major zoom levels...😭 Thank you so much for a comparison ❤️
Looking at it's outdated specs, I expected the Iphone to suck balls. but somehow Steve Jobs's soul living in the Iphone makes bad hardware deliever very good results. I thoght there will be no competition at greater zoom ranges but I was wrong. I own the vivo x100u and I'm a bit jelous of the optimisation\softawre of the iphone.
The changelog (regarding camera update) is the same as the one from the previous update. Either it's an error or they just didn't change anything in terms of the camera
The Vivo X100 Ultra, Oppo Find X7 Ultra, and Huawei Pura 70 Ultra appear to be the best camera phones of 2024. Considering the Vivo X100 Ultra has been out for little over month, makes it even more impressive. Would definitely like to see this comparison revisited after another month of updates.

Retain this same curved screen
Bring back double tap to lock and unlock
Very nice pls keep it coming :D
Interesting, I have seen different comparisions where at long zooms the xiaomi vs blurry and the vivo was sharp.
Maybe there is dirrences between devices, i mean some 14Ultra are sharper than others, and some x100U are sharper than others, OR there was a new update to the Vivo since then.
Vivo x100 ultra win❤
Watching from xioami 13 ultra
every youtube is apple fanboy, u put titles "issues for vivo, xiaomi" but not iphone lmao. iphone gets stomped in night time photos and barely keep up in daytime photos
Xiaomi lens reflection is quite severe at night. Overall the x100 is great especially at night. iPhone video zoom is surprisingly good. Selfie iPhone is good. Even the walking video, stabilization is okay. Xiaomi max photo zoom is great.
Can i grab an x100u from geekbuying..... Should i.....
hmm, Geekbuying dont sell phones nowadays haha! Get something else :D
Xiaomi 14 ultra is the best camera phone of 2024
Strange, I sold my Xiaomi 14 ultra global and I bought the Vivo X100 ultra. For me the Vivo X100 ultra is a lot better. Ben's Gadget Reviews also shows that the Vivo X100 Ultra camera is better than the Xiaomi 14 ultra 👍.
surprisingly the main cam night video is best on the vivo😮
They are very close. I do not agree that the Vivo wins this comparison. Maybe the differences can not be seen on a mobilescreen.
i have the same issue with focus on telephoto with my x100 pro :(
They are great, but 15 Pro Max is suitable for me thanks to its sky processing and video performance
Cooles Video 😊Natürlich ist das iPhone 15 Pro Max schlechter, liegt daran, dass das iPhone einen kleineren Sensor verbaut hat.
Vivo only has blurry images if you move the phone too fast before the photo has been taken away, it should be related to the focus and the exposure
Vivo X100 Ultra 👑 The Emperor #1
Oppo Find X7 Ultra 🌟 The King #2
Xiaomi is number 2
@@wouter.d.h. Nope , it is Oppo Find X7 Ultra 😁
we need a battery drain test on all ultras
I bought the X100U mainly because it performs the best in low light amongst other flagships. I knew it wouldn't take the sharpest photos at 100x, but who would use it anyways (farthest I would go is 60x)
Yes it s the best video capture in the night
Yes, X100U dominates at night :D
Es importante dejar de ver la nitidez digital al ampliar como una conservación de mayor detalle
The phone which is not available globally is straight away out of the league IMO. Better to choose between Android (14Ultra) or IOS (15PM). Simple as that and in this case i would go with Xiaomi for sure.
Why? I got X100Pro and im happy. I doesnt care about warranty, just buy new phone and broken one sell on second hand market.
Sir,the reflection issue pertains in my xiaomi14ultra also
:(
How can i order vivo x100 u to middle east 😢

I don’t have blurry problem with my x100 ultra
I was here to watch iphone vs vivo portrait compare
Hi Sami, please match zoom levels when doing zoom comparison part! 1x to 1x to 1x then 2x - 2x - 2x ON EACH PHONE and so on. Because all we can compare side-to-side is only 15x (60x, 100x) at the end, ignoring all of the major zoom levels...😭 Thank you so much for a comparison ❤️
I would never trust a review made like this!
Vlog/Review + Exercise
Looking at it's outdated specs, I expected the Iphone to suck balls. but somehow Steve Jobs's soul living in the Iphone makes bad hardware deliever very good results. I thoght there will be no competition at greater zoom ranges but I was wrong. I own the vivo x100u and I'm a bit jelous of the optimisation\softawre of the iphone.
Vivo x100 pro It was better than Vivo x100 ultra This is strange
Vivo will beat iphone by 25 or 26 by
Heavily experimenting
Total shake front video Vivo 😭😭😭
Vivo ❤
VIVO easy win, iphone what are you doin here, this is out of your league?!!
What ever i choose vivo only
Oopo 7 ultra haf update :). Oppo vs vivo? 😊
The changelog (regarding camera update) is the same as the one from the previous update. Either it's an error or they just didn't change anything in terms of the camera
iphone still there
Vivo
Over sharpened and saturated vivo 🎉
Did you forgot to turn on video stabilizer in vivo 100 pro
Vivo Microphone sucks
I hate that voice enhancement too!! I'd rather use its original audio
Hello bro I am from Bangladesh.. I love your videos
