I'm going to save this list! That Hado Labo face wash can't be beat for a gentle but effective cleanse. I keep coming back to it. Also, I love the Pyunkang Yul Nutrition and Intensive Moisture creams for barrier repair and for cold, dry weather.
This is a great list! I already have and love the Krave GBR and Stratia and love them. Now I’m thinking about trying something else. Maybe a toner. Idk. Thank you for sharing!
Loved the "slap everything all over my face.". That is totally me! Anyway, I use Purito's Centella Unscented Toner with two drops of The Ordinary's Amino Acid + B5, followed by one pump of Purito's Centella Unscented Serum mixed with one dropper of IUnik's Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum, followed by Leave Beauty Great Barrier Relief. This group has an excellent mix of ingredients for healing, nourishing, and protecting the skin with a few anti-inflammatories all at once.
I have oily acne-prone skin that also sometimes gets dry and irritated from all the products I’m trying probably lol but I love the Pacifica Vegan Ceramide Barrier lotion as my day moisturizer. I mix it with TO azelaic acid suspension.
The DRMTLGY Sooth and Recovery cream is my favorite! I use it as a daily moisturizer because it’s really hydrating while not feeling heavy at all. I’m a fan of using products good for damaged skin barrier on the daily, just for that extra constant protection. Love this list!
Hi Sarah the most gentle cleanser I've ever tried is the Avene antirougours refreshing cleanser, for me far more gentle than the Hada labo tbh. The HL can sting/burn my skin when it's flared up, but that's just my experience. If every cleanser burns/stings due to damage a cheap and cheerful way to cleanse for a few days is to use aqueous cream. Apply a thick layer, massage gently and rinse off - cleans without the use of any surfactants. It will take off a mineral spf and normal grime, but will probably struggle with long wear makeup a little. The soon jung toner is very gentle as is the cosrx cica toner when my skin is flared. I like the skincity extreme cream or PC calm moisturiser when my skin is flared up - both tend to be well tolerated on my rosacea and eczema prone skin. they can both be used under a mineral spf if skin is dry. Some of the products mentioned I have tried and a few others are on my wishlist. Best wishes.
I have been intending to try out Avene's Antirougeurs line, I'm going to have to check our their cleanser- it sounds wonderful! I also heard that Cetaphil is reformuatling their cleansers and removing the SLS they use to make it more gentle, very interested to see how that ends up working.
@@NOBSBeauty Yes interesting indeed. I haven't tried the cetaphil cleansers tbh - the INCI list was always a bit unimpressive to me and my skin isn't keen on sulphates. I was thinking of trying the jelly joker cleanser next, as I still haven't tried that one. The Avene moisturisr in this line has spf and my skin didn't like it at all. The cream for chronic redness is fine, but didn't really do much to reduce redness - at least for me. The cleanser is a new HG for me though. My Doctor has given me a prescription for 15% azelaic acid to try. I like the Apad, but feel I need something stronger for my rosacea/redness (at least some of the time). I'll let you know how I get on, as I'll get it tomorrow. x
if my barrier is really trashed from trying to find a vitamin c (who do I do this to myself) those oatmeal balms for the body heal it immediately. I usually get a generic one from the baby aisle.
Vaseline always works for me when my skin can't handle a little bit of anything and another one is LRP cicaplast. PC calm serum is also amazing and it accelerates the skin healing process. More tips for recovering your skin is to avoid washing your face more than once a day especially in the morning and instead, you can use a gentle toner. Finally, keep it simple and basic.
Thank you miss.It looks like whit me,that my skin is easy whit some products.Sometimes ,and i know my skin good i think so. It is changing fast i am 53.But its a complex thing the skin of the face and neck.A good day miss.
Please make a video on a highly moisturizing creams that are with matte finish. My skin needs more moisture but most of them are very shiny, so please recommend. I liked Protini but its very expensive.
Definitely will have to do this! The DRMTLGY Peptide Night Cream is pretty good in this regard. Also working on an updated Protini Alternatives video- I am over spending so much on their moisturizer, too.
Try cerave moisturizing cream in the tub i have oily skin and use it as my nighttime moisturizer it’s very moisturizing but absorb fully with out any shiny finish, unlike gel creams it doesn’t leave a film silicone like texture on the skin
I love Liquid Gold, too! And Aquaphor--I swear by it!! My fool-proof sensitized skin routine is as follows: 1) very gently exfoliate flakes with a light hand of Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant and water, 2) Dermalogica Precleanse, 3) Tata Harper Sensitized Skin Cleanser, 4) Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner, 5) Dermalogica Ultracalming Serum Concentrate, 6) Dr. Jardt Tiger Grass Serum, 7) Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Gel, 8) Dr. Jardt Cicapair Gel Cream, 9) Tata Harper Sensitized Skin Moisturizer, 10) Dermalogica Ultracalming Barrier Repair, 11) Avene Cicalfate 12) Aquaphor, 13) NIGHTIME ONLY Dr. Jardt Sleepair "Sleeping Mask"

My face has fully recovered, maybe my eye lids are still slightly puffy and yellowish but it's my neck that's still red, itchy and inflamed. I'm still new to skincare and building a routine. I bought the Klair's midnight blue calming cream. My question is: should you put this on your face after cleansing and toning and leave your face be? Or is it the last step after you've applied your nighttime skincare stuff? I just want to know the best way to use it so my face gets all of the good ingredients it has in it. Thank you!💜💜💜
Hi Sarah 😀❤️. among your mentioned products I've used klair's midnight blue calming cream, krave beauty barrier repair serum and cosrx snail all in one cream , they are great and helped my oily skin a lot , as I'm retinol person i always need barrier repair serum or cream , i want to ask you a question , it's been 6 months I'm on retinol (the inkey list one for 4 months and now on paula's Choice retinol treatment for 2months ) but my skin isn't used to retinol yet my skin become dry and dull after 4 days consistent use so when my skin will become use to retinol ? thanks ❤️
Usually skin adjusts to retinol after that long of time. The Paula's Choice one is pretty strong, so it could just be that your skin doesn't tolerate the strength well. I think I'd recommend mixing it with your moisturizer and then applying it to your face- I'd probably use 50/50 retinol/moisturizer and see how your skin tolerates that. In the long run you are better off using a weaker retinol that your skin tolerates well than trying to use something too strong that your skin just doesn't like.
@@NOBSBeauty okay ❤️❤️😀😀 Thanks , i actually spent money on PC retinol so i would go for mixing with moisturizer , can't buy a new retinol because I'm afraid of breakouts , because the ordinary one and the inkey list retinol both broke me out like crazy , now pc isn't doing such thing to my skin that's why I'm okay with it but I'll mix it with a moisturizer ❤️😀

It contains some nice soothing ingredients as well as wound healing ingredients- I'd be careful, maybe try it on part of your face and see how it handles it, if it handles it well then I'd use it all over. When I have a damaged skin barrier I try to go as simple as possible until it heals (rinse with water, simple moisturizer, and spf) but the klairs contains some nice copper peptides, licorice root, and a few other soothing ingredients that might make it worth a try- just be careful, slow, and listen to your skin.
The Ceramedx brand is a cruelty-free and better dupe to CeraVe. It's pretty underrated, but their products are great, rich in ceremides and antioxidants.
