Stevie Ray Vaughan the greatest electric guitar player that ever set his feet on a stage and performed..Double Trouble a terrific band ..Stevie will always be number One and his music flows all over the world..RIP Stevie..
Belén Yarde Buller I dont know how old are you. But i`m 35 now and when i discoverd him i was 15 and i did the same like you. But in that time there wasn't youtube i had to go in CD stores and his cds was all imported... too expensive. By the way i felt sorry when i discoverd that he passed away and i'll never see his concert.
All I know is he was as good as a person ,if not better as he was as a GUITAR GOD !!! After Wedding reception at some southern mansion in Austin, Tx. Then we had the Official Reception !!! Thats where I met The MAN & he was the COOLEST person there I met !!! In summer of 82 I Thought Ya Knew !!! Saw him in concert 3 times after and THEN CAME THAT FOGGY NIGHT IN WISCONSIN !!! I dont know about you??? But Im aGrowed Ass Man & I CRYED THAT DAY & A FEW MORE !!! Those Shoes will Never Be Filled !!!
I have been a fan of his from the beginning but now matter how times I listen to or watch a video of him I am amazed all over again he never ceases to amaze me. A true guitar god of the highest order
I've been looking for a comment like this, i just adore Stevie but these two guys are badass man. There haven't been a better trio in human kind history for me. And offcourse later with another badass mf Reese .. i just love them so much.
@@TheFilipFly Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton were one of the top rhythm sections in rocknroll and still are, right up there with Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding with Hendrix. Pure power trio heaven!
27 years ago Sunday =( RIP Stevie! Gonna be coming to see you and your parents headstones this October. We miss you! You live forever. Jimmie misses you including all your other friends
The little E string slipped at 1:06. Anyone notice him looking for the guitar tech after. He gets Number 1 guitar and demolishes it. Its almost like he's pissed. Inspiration, once again Stevie, thank you.
Stevie Ray Vaughan the guitar legend and his legendary electric guitar in play giving out the best blue's and rock n roll that a man can give you professionally and that's on any stage he sets his feet on to entertain his fans...Stevie is phenomenal and great band ..Never be another Stevie Ray Vaughan..r u with me? Were only here a little whole and then we gotta exit..still remembering the best that learned to play a guitar and brought it to life before all his fans..Thank you Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Good Lord have mercy! Stevie was beyond compare! The left hand action on his Voodoo Chile, then going into Third Stone from the Sun was beautiful! Chris and Tommy were the perfect fit for Stevie, always on time and on point, just completing the music like the uber-pros they are. Freeking fantastic!
Tommy Shannon (Bass) and Chris Layton (Drums) one of the best (and underrated) power trio backlines in Rock history. Just super tight and fucking solid solid solid
All I know is he played his heart out EVERY single time he stepped on a stage. He loved what he did. What a terrible crying shame what happened to him at such a young age, for him and for us.
He is truly missed. He was one of a kind, and played with his fellow blues masters a lot. Check out his stuff with them. There's a vid of him and BB King
hot dog!!!! he sounds even better at guitar when hes playin with his teeth and like a violin and even switches guitars and keeps going!!!! ddrummer chris layton keepser going. tommy on the bass waits for his leader stevie to join back in amazazazing!!!!!!!!!! seriously start it over
still love struck, after all these decades; i just gotta testify. It was 1979, Norhtern Maine & he & Double Trouble blew the roof off as the OPENING ACT, unknown, still... for some " Guitar Monster" named Ted Nugent, hhahahaha O yes.
MIKE PHEBUS Possibly. Remember we didn't have TH-cam then, and videos of actual performances were much more rare. When Stevie, I, or any other artist covered a song we would listen to records and then try and find the notes on the guitar (especially if one didn't read music). The result: he often used different fingerings/chord voicings. So he developed his own way for many things. Not all is Hendrix derived.
It was a damn shame that he was taken from us right as he was getting his life on track and proving to his bandmates and himself that he did not need anything but his hands to do it....Who can say really, what end might have been met.....This video gave me a glimpse of a few demons he had to deal with... a self destructive personality is being expressed when someone starts destroying the things they love, like their guitar......
I tried playing with my teeth and threw my dentures into the crowd!!! Some old lady claimed them and I beat her up. Now I'm not allowed to perform at the nursing home anymore.

Fuck...I discovered him today (I know, sorry). I have been watching his videos for over 3 hours now. Best friday night ever.

Gilberto Ribeiro 23 :) Same happened to me. Lucky those who got to see him live
Definitely check his live show at Monterux 85, one of his best performances IMO. Especially Vodoo Chile and Tin Pan Alley.

Whoa! Stevie can do more with one finger than lots of guitarists with both hands! Miss you so much, Stevie!
I Wanted to make a statement :
I LoVe This Man and Band.

Rolling around on the ground with his number 1....and still sounds good! Definitely the greatest of all time!
What a talent! Heart and soul! Great voice, fast fingers! He had it all! Love him!
All I know is he played his heart out EVERY single time he stepped on a stage. He loved what he did. What a terrible crying shame what happened to him at such a young age, for him and for us.
What an incredible guitar player..
That guitar was crying. King

He's a god, wish he was still here. His last thought might have been "I wasn't done yet."
Fuck. Even that sound he made when he was switching guitars sounded way better than anything I have ever played!
1:24 Level of awesomeness: 150
Nice... his Strat strikes again... like only a Strat can!
Stevie seemlessly moving into third stone from the sun just shows how much of a true virtuoso he is.
You really get an idea of how immense his sound was in this recording. The best guitarist that ever will be, the end ❤
as always awesome
It's called "Pulling Out All the Stops", and Stevie did!
still love struck, after all these decades; i just gotta testify. It was 1979, Norhtern Maine & he & Double Trouble blew the roof off as the OPENING ACT, unknown, still... for some " Guitar Monster" named Ted Nugent, hhahahaha O yes.
love the way it morphs into "Third Stone."
SRV! Un fuera de serie!!!
He looks so good here, like the last time I saw him but it was still a year before he got sober.
I got chills watching
only stevie ray vaughn can slam his guitar on the ground and make it sound good
Stevie Ray makes proud to be American. He was the ambassador of cool. Like, 'Hey Japan, look what we have!'
luv to watch this man play!

SRV was posessed with guitar God greatness. He couldn't play bad even if he tried

The most creative way to effectively detune a Strat haha. Such a cool video!
Damn, that man could play...

Guitar goes out of tune at 1:13, sneaks in a tune at 1:26, never misses a beat...

Has a lot of Hendrix influence in this one especially

the last minutes is Hendrix's Third Stone from the Sun. He recorded Third Stone, Voodoo Chile and Little Wing.
SRV always said that Hendrix was the greatest guitarist ever, he really loved Hendrix. Hendrix and SRV are guitar gems, love both.
Brutal, genial
I can't fathom how much reset and setup they had to do to Number One after that.
❤❤❤
Medicine for my soul
stevie playing lenny? FOR TESTIFY?! thats rare... he only played that for Lenny and Rivera Paradise. anyways im blown away once again thank Stevie RIP
This man has no soul. He is a soul with a body.

I miss drumming like that
Great, !!
I think Hendrix was watching that one from above with a smile on his face.
I like the part where SRV made us miss him terribly.
It's like he's taming an animal!
SRV and Double Trouble - Testify Live In Japan Jan 24, 1985
I turned up the volumn , cranked it all up then floored it
~ SRV ~
It was a damn shame that he was taken from us right as he was getting his life on track and proving to his bandmates and himself that he did not need anything but his hands to do it....Who can say really, what end might have been met.....This video gave me a glimpse of a few demons he had to deal with... a self destructive personality is being expressed when someone starts destroying the things they love, like their guitar......
Couldn't do that with a Les Paul.
This prove that the Strat is the workhorse of the music industry.
WOW
Did I meet him at the Triple AAA warehouses in Houston Texas 1974/75?
Anybody that hasn't seen this, Checkout the 2:46 part after of course seeing the begining
@142521strato94 YEAHHHH I AGREE, HE IS AND WILL BE HERE :)
pra quem não sabe ele é considerado junto com eric clapton, robert cray , bb king, e budy guay, um dos ídolos do blues mundial
Ele é o deus do blues!
Nunca vi ninguém fazer oque ele fazia na Guitarra!
sounds like his got a little hendrix in there, two gods of gods
don't worry... it was his 1963 fender strat., so in 1985 the guitar was 22 ;)
5:27.. Hendrix's soul on Vaughan's body!
agressive sound...
I tried playing with my teeth and threw my dentures into the crowd!!! Some old lady claimed them and I beat her up. Now I'm not allowed to perform at the nursing home anymore.
couldn't stop mushaburui
@harmlesslycapable 23 at the time. Also she's his "First wife".
