Yes it's cool, but it means you need to put it into your deck and it's a hard garnet. I really don't think adding bricks is worth making the second effect live. Sure it's a better target than blue eyes or obilisk, but i don't think it's better than not playing a target for it at all.

Getting an extra blank body and an extra normal is not worth an ED slot and a garnet in the deck for most modern decks. Things like e.g. the melodious exist these days which are much better, and even they're not worth running in every deck. Most modern decks simply do not rely on normal summoning as much as decks in 2018. But aside from that, this isn't a remotely fair comparison. Brilliant Fusion gets _something_ starting from nothing but a single spell card. Running Barbaros gets you a pop if you succesfully tag out ABC or new-XYZ while having the new spell in GY and you haven't drawn Barbaros yet. That means it's conditionally a strong effect when you've managed to set up already, which IMHO isn't a very good justification to add a brick to your deck. Most people even cut things like in-archetype trap cards because they're sick of drawing them going second and would rather play more hand traps or board breakers, I don't see where you're gonna find the room to put a card that's actively bad to draw.
Photon hypernova was based on Galaxy/Photon, used by Kite. The Tachyon cards are used by Mizar with the only shared ground being Galaxy eyes. Kite focuses on light, Mizar is more focused on dragons.

I know it's the most boring option, but if it's Nibiru, that means you don't add any bricks to your deck, and you get a piece of insurance that makes it nearly impossible for your opponent to OTK you if they break your board. Then you have the entire ABC lineup in grave for your crack back. Seems busted to me.

Just for clarification Photon and Tachyon arent the same archtype(atm thier are only 5 Tachyon cards in the game). Theyre two related archtypes and this support is clearly trying to make the effort to give Tachyon its own seperate gameplan(which is why not a single one of the new cards list Photon monsters.)

So.. if I'm reading this write, if you open X and Z (or one and a way to get to the other) you can: NS X, equip Y from deck, SS Y w/ its own effect -> Y equip Z from hand, Z SS itself -> Y & Z into Union Controller, seach Hangar/etc. -> then if you have any way to reborn Y you can equip and SS Z -> you now have X, Y, and Z to go into the new triple fusion, and you also just searched Hangar so you have access to the entire ABC line... Seems good
The Earth Machine fanatic in me sees the potential in running a small Machina package with these new Union guys. Like 2-3 gearframe, 1 each of Fortress, Citadel, and Ruinforce, 1 Unclaspare. The basic Machina line makes Gear Gig to search an XYZ/ABC piece, then can make plat gadget with the dumped fortress off of unclaspare. Then later when you use your 3k search, you can grab either citadel or ruinforce to get another fortress summon. Could be cope, but there's a lot of incidental synergy that's really cool. Especially with gearframe itself being a union.

That being said, I didn't realize their new spell only searched *light* unions, which is very unfortunate for Gearframe, but you still have all the other benefits, like being able to loop Fortress like crazy.
In regards to that Union spell meant to search Obelisk: Why hasn't Konami just made an Archetype for the God Cards yet? Seriously, give us Egyptian God retrains, give us SEPERATE ARCHETYPES for each of them PLEASE...maybe make it good, then watch the money flood in

How does Detonating Kuriboh not target? It equips as an equip spell so it continually targets and doesn't work on untargetable monsters. I guess it doesn't target when you activate the effect but it has to equip to the monster it responds to so your opponent still knows what you're going to effect.
Someone gets it. I remembered Someone got mad at me because I kept trying to explain to them that the lack of targeting being mentioned on the card did not do much like they thought because it still has to equip to that specific monster on resolution.
There is a family guy episode where the guys keep going to Olive Garden. At first, it was great, but every time they kept going back, it got boring, stale, and eventually disgusted by it. Thats how I feel about DM legacy support.

Notably the 3k+ body you get to search and normal with the trap doesn't require being Light. I wonder how many good monsters you can normal with 3k+ attack that do something incredible on-summon.

These new guys only work with Light Machine Union monsters tho. They literally have restrictions that Lightlock you if you use their effects.

I think we should absolutely not let Arcana force be playable. If it becomes playable as a dedicated deck it's just going to be a consistent The World turbo AKA FTK every game
This deck already does The World turbo and we do not need any Arcana Force cards that are not 50-50's
