I can't believe how easy spirit of Yubel is to summon. All you need is A Hero Lives into Prisma or the field spell into Spirit, summon the original and bam, free non-light level 9 with a monster negate attached.
I was wondering why it would make the damage you take would be 0. it would have anti synergy with nightmare pain since it wouldn't burn the opponent since the damage we would have taken would be 0. aside from that what other things did they get wrong?
@@r4nd0mguy99 Fur Hires were so much fun lol, with the Plasma and the contact fusing just to clear board and the one donpa activation and a dream, and there was often like one very subtle decision that would make or break your game a turn later. Maybe it was just that much better than the Sylvan meta, but I had a blast in the furry mirror (and the deck was dirt cheap, too)

Since we’re getting a summoned skull retrain for the gold sarc of light cards, I wonder what they’ll do for gaia and curse of dragon? Will there be a GSOL version of Gaia the dragon champion? I’m interested to see what they’ll do when it comes to those 2.
the yubel monster is obviously cracked and stupid. i don't know why they made this when the deck is already competent post-LEDE. they really want you to play yubel that said, i think the summoned skull monster is underrated. im apparently the only person that has been tinkering with these cards at all (not because i think they're particularly powerful, i just think they're fun and cute) but this card has more applications than you might think. provided you have gold sarc on field, this is a zeus by itself. ns, steal a guy, make sheridan, send another card to grave, attack something, go into zeus. and that's before you commit to gandora. or you can summon him with the gandora he's probably a one of, but unlike other one ofs in the deck, you don't mind opening him depending on the rest of your hand the problem still remains though that you absolutely need gold sarc to really do much of anything in this deck, and only the gadgets search it. aside from that, you're relying on prosperity or maybe extrav
I feel like the skull and gandora are side deck one-ofs for when you know you're going second to help break a board with searchable engine. As for consistency, you can play the SHS engine to get more copies of gadget. I like your idea to use Sheridan, though. Cool exploration of the card.

The next powercreep beyond Omni-negates is gonna be terraforming card effects, and I don’t know how to feel about it. On one hand it’s more interesting than just saying “No” to a card effect. On the other I feel like this is gonna make the “our turn” feeling of Yugioh more prominent that never. The bar for a competitive deck isn’t just gonna be 1-card starters and handtrap resilience, but now you’ll have to be able to combo and establish new disruptions during either turn.
I find it funny how Ages of Stars and Frost has become more playable in a Yubel deck than it does in a Visas Deck since Nightmare pain fulfills the activation requirement for it and this new Yubel fusion let's you recycle it from the GY to make sure you're able to OTK going 2nd with Yubel due to the damage reflection from Nightmare pain. I'm glad I already got my Max rarity Yubel cards post pre-release prices.

Y'know how it says it can't be used as Fusion Material? ...As far as I can tell (and Joshua Schmidt came to this conclusion too) summoning Phantom of Yubel is not a Fusion Summon, because you Special Summon it from your Extra by shuffling the cards. So you can recycle it to summon another copy from your Extra.

And thanks to prisma and kluger and the quick play hero spell that can turn any thing into that monster byy revealing it from deck you can either biat out a negate just out of fear that you have the super poly in hand. The effect makes YOU the Yubel player destroy a Yubel, instead of the the other effect. Presumably Yubel has a value engine that wants it in your GY or something. Besides it sets you up to bring this out again
If the translation for Phantom of Yubel is correct can't you just use it to summon itself? It says cannot be used as fusion material but it's condition to summon specifies 'Special Summon' and doesn't mention it being treated as a fusion summon

I am loving these alternate arts for old cards. Everyone is already playing them and so it’s fun to see variety in these old cards.
