One of my favorite routes. Unfortunately not a popular one among crit racers for some reason. 😂 I love to smash that start because people don't expect that wicked lead-in.
Monday nights have an awesome series called the kiwi riot race, A's chase the B's, B's chase C's etc. Im a C grader and would love to ride with you at some stage, plus it would make for some good content! I know the timezones will probably make it very difficult for you but its worth putting it out there. NZST (UTC + 12) Monday at around 7pm (start times vary each week but normally around 7pm).
Fantastic finish and race. Sometimes you have to risk it for the biscuit. Those hard shorter efforts will actually have a tendency to lower your zMAP. Zwifty had a pretty good video explaining how it works.
Haha, awesome finish! Heartbreak for that guy on the finish line. I would have been banging the bars cav style. So cool that we can get similar feelings from a game.
I took a few days after a big ride, 3.5w/kg for 20 mins, for me to get promoted to Cat B. Well done on the race, the numbers that guy put out to catch you were unreal.
"He's switched off his targeting computer!" Love the HR removal. Pure racing at its finest. Hat tip to the other 2 competitors, massive efforts there as well. Love to see it.
Well done Jake I think you are ready for some ladder fun soon great numbers there mate and a great finish not as close as two I can think of but close 😂
Jake, have you heard of the upcoming indieVelo Grand Tour? 5-day stage race with GC, mountain, and sprint jerseys! It would make for some really fun YT content!
@@jakesandersonsnowmancycling it hasn’t happened - late September, so you have time to hop on iV and get the feel of the racing physics! Search on YT, there is a silly video from Toto posted - in the description there is the road book with the details

Hey Sigfreed - no I haven’t heard about that one, thanks for letting me know! Where can I get some more info about it if it hasn’t already happened?
