I can't comprehend why police phone lines aren't recorded. I'm a NSW public servant and every conversation I have on my work phone is recorded and kept for a number of years. Police conversations are soooo much more important than what I have to discuss.

Typical dirty cop railroads some poor bloke but when the truth comes out the dirty cop gets a free pass, he tried ruining someone's life by having them wrongly incarcerated which would if had truly life altering effect on his future. This cop should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and mummy's help shouldn't come into it.

What a poor ALP response ... they are not interested in social justice ... Worth watching to the end if you want to understand the difference between voting Green or Independent versus ALP ... given the optics around family relationships with one of the parties involved and the ALP ... just not good enough. With Local council elections this weekend worth thinking through who you want to elect to represent you.

Our senate in NSW is our saving grace as sad is it is. It's likely calm before a further storm. The last vestiges of technocratic politics live in the senate. The more outwardly authoritarian, one-percenter Business Council of Australia run lower house is creeping up on them. In the senate you've got PHON, CDP, Greens, SFF, and the Coalition backing in this request with Labor expressing reservations? It's the other way around in the rambunctiousness of the lower house. Labor, SFF, Greens put out tiny lights of hope in that mire.
