As a Keating fan I say this with respect, but you did ask... Keating was wrong about privatising the Commonwealth Bank, which resulted in years/decades of unfettered free market obscenities & exploitations of average Australians by the entire banking/financial services sector. Despite a Royal Commission we are still attempting to mitigate & legislate against the big banks' excesses. Keating was also clearly wrong about allowing greater media concentration ("princes of print and queens of the screen" as he put it) which helped entrench, among others, Rupert Murdoch's stranglehold on the Australian media. We have all been paying a hefty price since then - not least among us the Australian Labor Party.
