Would love to see a tier list for cargo haulers and how well they can defend themselves from pirates 👍🏽
Also maybe one on which ships make the best escorts for haulers. Pyro has some of us truckers shaken in our boots. Would love to see some stuff on protection

@@gman2x Neither are their any cargo haulers that could ever run from, hide from or even defend against prepared pirates - nor is the argument of an escort a possibility.
Since players in SC are basically free to pick their vessel pirates literally can attack in military class vessels. Plus if outmatched they will just not go for you. Keep in mind what happens is: they will just scout you out and then jump you. Only noobs wait with the whole "fleet" waiting.
However, whatever the case is for them that gameplay is fun, even if the profit isn't there.
For the victim it's never fun and even "escorts" will be A) either getting bored or B) at least losing their edge in PvP because just sailing around next to a cargo truck does not train your combat skills.
Your best hope is to not even get found or just roll over and die and recoup your losses.
As for ships choices in such a case - just go for more multirole oriented ones as they will allow you to trade AND do other stuff.
If you go for a hull, especially the big ones, pray.
And no, the cool roleplay you sometimes see on "pirate" channels is not what's happening in 99,9% of the cases.

I'm glad the Warden sits so high, it's such a beautiful ship.
I've been trying to determine the best fighter with an internal space/bed and it sounds like the Warden is it.
It's really so cool, It's probably the first ship I could really call a daily driver just to fly around and do stuff in. Just incase you hadn't considered it, if you're thinking of solo play and can enjoy a different aesthetic, maybe the Banu Defender would be a good choice. I was surprised to learn it has an interior with two beds. A1 rated it as a B tier fighter previously. But a B tier single fighter is probably going to beat an A tier two seat fighter with only the pilot. The warden can feel sluggish. You could stick 4 panthers on it. It will be more nimble and smaller than the Warden. It still has one large shield and slightly more quantum fuel. The nose health is unfortunately made of paper though and the Warden can fit the fastest quantum drive. @@serenedevil6798
It’s so annoying I can’t change the top right MFD to target. Also, my buddy gets in the turret and says everything is blurry. What am I missing here??

Vanguard need a little rework, turret is unusable and there is quite a few other problem right now with the ship. But i love it, it's my daily ship because it can go far and fast, stock lot of stuff and pretty much do all bounty missions with ease.
As a definitely Anvil fan on the combat side, I am grinning happily at these lists. Arrow and Hurricane are my favorite fighters in the game currently.
I mean Aegis and RSI have good offerings too.

We use the scorpius regularly (with gunner) , A lot of people fly it solo, which makes it even better, you just let the gunner hold until 500 meters and then let it rip, it just melts light fighters in seconds.
W'll give the hurricane another shot! our hurricanes got wiped with the patches but they are indeed a lot of fun!

I like the list a lot! I use the Super Hornet, but because it fills multiple situations for me. The biggest consideration being that when I’m by myself, I still have the use of all of my weapons. I’ve considered getting the Scorpious for that reason, but once the blades are available.
I'll be curious to see where the scorpius lands after mastermodes is fully introduced and the new aiming system comes into play.

Big gladiator fan. I rose to top 50 in it during the early 2.x phase. Historically it skids all over the place but the jerk is low and x rotation is good. It needs some more love as there is unfinished advertised ability and the pixels look out of date.
Agree, I adore the concept but the implementation needs love! And give it a bomb option! It's clearly a dive bomber.

The Hurricane also has the added bonus of, apart from the Tana (870k), being the cheapest of the ships in the list to buy in game (1.2 mil) which just makes it S+ as far as I am concerned.

Sorry A1 but the best two seater is a corsair with my one star citizen friend on the roof with a railgun!
He’s said he intends to do 3+ crew ship tier list after. We’ll see though, I know he believes large crew gameplay is not very good atm compared to the fighter meta.
could you also do all bigger ships. I mean a Hull C can not really fight but I just would like to see it and I love your videos
It’s a great accurate list, I’m no dogfight expert but the Warden and the Hurricane are my favourite two seaters. I do love the Freelancers though for their cargo and design. They are not really combat ships though due to the hit points like you say.

I also saw the air resistance and real flight model systems and I know the fighter meta its going to shift heavily once thats out plus scm modes. Vtol dedicated ships or gunships with bigger engines will be absolutely strong against fighters in atmosphere. Space flights may remain fairly similar but im excited for the update progress. I'm not a very good dogfight pilot so I prefer my slow tanky ships with lots of guns and shields. I wanted to add i hope the glaive becomes better after the rework. I own a Perseus Glaive Mirai Fury and dragonfly to round out my collection so im in limbo waiting for alot of stuff.

20:52 I don't own a Scoprius, are you saying that even without gimbals the guns can "articulate" onto the target down to a specific range? I was under the impression that ungimbaled guns fire parallel to each other, is that wrong?
Great list! and an idea for a future one. Everyone loves running larger ships, but with the reality that they will be solo on a multicrew ship.
What about a tier list for multi crew ships flown solo. Lets say I wanna do box missions, I need an interior, but no cargo whats the "best" PvP multicrew ship flown solo. Or maybe I want to do high value low volume cargo, but I want to be able to protect myself. Or maybe I want to have room for a ground vehicle and some cargo.... would a Corsair or Constellation be better flown solo?
I think it would be an interesting way to impart your knowledge in a useful way for those that do 100% focus on PvP, and could use a combination of firepower and survivability for these more "daily real world" situations.... that honestly most players are in.

A long time ago, I used to prefer the Freelancer MIS for bounty hunting, but that didn't last long due to shield holes, I soon changed to the Eclipse and then Retaliator when torps were OP. These days, while I don't BH anymore, I have moved back to the Hornet mostly, but use the Hurricane or Scorpius if I have a co-pilot. That was just trial and error, of what worked for me, and trying a lot of ships with various weapon combinations. IMHO, everyone should try without gimbals, as they spray most of your ammo everywhere but the target, which is especially bad for large battles like XT, as you'll be hitting lots of people accidentally. These videos are great, and I'd love to see them regularly updated whenever we see balance passes.

Agree with most of this list. Personally for me a wing of 3 I would rate in this order - 1) Hurricane, 2) Warden, 3) Gladiator. I’d love to see you field test this. Which wing of 3 identical two seater fighters pose the greatest threat against a swarm of up to 10 random single seater fighters?
Which of these ships would be best for me to avoid having to use the ALT-F4 key combo? Feeling Warden vibes, here, with the high top speed? Gotta get to my Medivac patients asap, ya know?

Ive watched both tour fighter tier list and this two seater list. I sis notice i dont see Banu defender on eith video. Did i miaa some mention of it?

Having used it for the first time last night, I'm very unimpressed, as I don't have a gunner. I wish I had bought the arrow.
I thought the 2nd seat in the Reliant Tana was to fire off missiles non-stop... can fire even when behind!
When the atmospheric "control surfaces" stuff comes into play, I expect the Scorpius to go up as it should have really strong atmospheric control with the 4 wings.
I love the look of the scorp it's badass but I get the convergence issue

I have a Vanguard Warden, Super Hornet, and Carrack. Thinking of upgrading the Carrack to a Polaris.
kinda random, but what do you say when you shoot an electromagnetic missile? obviously IR is fox 2, crosssection (radar) is fox 3 because it’s not a sarh missile, so what’s em? fox 4 is guns a long time ago, so fox 5? or does it just replace sarh as fox 1

it is a dropship, but it is also a 2 person ship(not counting passengers) and I think it compares a bit to the vanguard series because of it's lower mass, massive hull hp, and weapon sizes/capacitor.
It also has that Vtol trick to surprise a opponent with your vertical speed.

Last I chacked, the Super Hornet isn't really a two person ship. It's a one person ship that can carry a passenger. The turret and pilot guns share the capacitors.
How would the Anvil Hurricane (without the turret) do against A/S tier ships ?. I am looking for a good all rounder to serve as an escort
Can you do a list for snubs? Maybe its not worth doing but it would be interesting to me.
I've got a base Freelancer and a Warden, both upgraded parts. Love flying the MISC because I got room for activities in the back and room for passengers. When someone picks on me in that, I follow up with the Warden. :)

The harbinger got a buff i believe, in hull hp aswell as in maneuverability, which makes it now the best vanguard variant.

I got my Warden when it was considered the ship to avoid at all costs (then it got nerfed).
What's weird is the desire for the other three Vanguard ships over it? ;-)
Been flying the Vanguards recently and the Harbinger and Sentinel seem to both top out at 1022m/s. Not fast but better than 980. They also seem to have the same turn speeds but i could be wrong.
Gladiator will have bombs eventually if I'm remembering correctly, that may knock it down in the tier list in the future.

3 People in a redeemer, 2 in a hurricane or 2 hornets.
2 scorpius / hurricane, 1 light / f8 / hornet
Heya A1, about the Scorpius I think it's important to realise it's kinda sorta supposed to be paired with a Polaris.
In that way, the current performance make a lot of sense, defending the bigger ship
Base Freelancer actually has roughly double the hitpoints of MIS on nose/body and better acceleration according to erkul and that has matched my experience. I think that offsets the extra missiles from the MIS variant (a Freelancer will never live long enough to fire all those size 3s). So I'd put my favorite ship, the base Freelancer, in E tier to replace the MIS. Still though, can't argue that she needs some serious help to be competitive.
What's your opinion regarding a combat tier list for solo-operated, everyday ships with amenities (beds and / or bathrooms)?
Exempli gratia: A daily flier what a combat focus?
Warden #1 (my opinion)
Probably an aurora aslong as you stay ouy of atmo and ignore the bathroom. You are dooming yourself in pvp if you solo a heavyfighter.
If you really really need the bathroom then the 325 and or nomad is your best bet.

Great list. The only (I think) valid argument I'd make is the Harby moving to C tier. I know you hate missiles but the torp threat matters especially to make her a chase threat and a lot of people don't realize that the Harby has S3 guns on the turret instead of the S2 of the other Vanguard variants. I get that she is really weak against light fighters but heavier ships where she has less of a disadvantage speed wise she can tank and dish the damage.
p.s. Thanks for the Gladiator love! She is a beautiful ship, love flying that thing. So cool and sci-fi feeling. And another one of those hidden stats people don't know sometimes is that she has huge capacitors. 100 rounds in a mag for repeaters so while the pilot only gets control of 2 guns if you stay on target she hits a lot.
Happy to see the Cutlass Blue being fairly high up the list. I expected worse. I am quite fond of my Blue.
In your opinion which is the best 3 man ship?
IDK whether you are looking for video suggestions, but I would LOVE to see a series by you on "fixing" bad military ships. What would you do to the Tana? The Lancer? The Gladiator? The A1? Titan and 325a? The Connies? I would love to see your opinions on changes you think these ships need, not to get into S-Tier, but to get to where you think they SHOULD be on the tier list.
I have literally no idea how to fix the Reliant series other than to make them medium ships and up their cargo and shields accordingly, but I still think they'd be fodder. Tana as an Ares competitor? Just a gunship for use against bigger ships while escorted? IDK I'd love to see your take on the duds of SC.
Oh man, do you know how mad people get when you suggest changes to their favorite shop? I added a conversation on spectrum on what I thought they should do with the Tana, and got a LOT of hate mail.
@@modusponen1447 I was a Reliant booster for EVER. But they are just bad ships and have been broken for over a year now. I'd be amped as a connie owner to hear that the connie is getting overhauled. I don't get it lol I can't wait for a reliant overhaul

I melted my Pieces for a Huracan also because Space Tomato said he hates that ship, then I knew i had to have it. Currently my Huracan has AD4B's on the nose and grade 1 military shield gen, I love it. thanks for this video.

3 weeks ago.. Where are you getting your info. Erkul has the Harbinger, sent and hoplite at 1022 max SCM and the Hoplite actually weights 10,000kg less then the warden?
One weakness of the Hurricane stems from the fact it's a manned turret. Now all turret components are vulnerable to getting blown off but manned turrets are especially from being so much larger, and obviously if you lose it you also lose a guy which can't happen on say the Scorpius

I think the MIS fits as a missile support ship puts pressure passively but easy to take out once the vanguard is removed
Also yes I love the gladiator it’s a very comfortable ship and I use it to help teach ppl to fly since it’s slow and turns on a dime
It works well as a Fury carrier too as the hold is big enough to carry one without problems.
My favorite thing to do to a cutlass in atmo is shoot off one engine and watch it spin out of control.
noob question, why is gimbal not worth in pvp. i understand, less dps, but you can hit a bit better right ?
I personally love the Harbinger, but I don‘t use it in a anti-fighter role. I have an AD5B mounted to the nose and use it to attack the larger enemy ships, while my wingmen (usually flying Scorp or light fighters) deal with enemy fighters. And for this role it is beautiful.
It’s the hurri-can! Probably the most versatile ship in the game for taking new players out. You can take a day-1 newbie and give them a positive experience without being boring.
pity I didn't know that the turret can't be operated by the pilot. I just wasted 1.2m on buying one of these.

6:10 Are you sure about the acceleration of the Hoplite? At least Erkul reads that is in fact slightly better than the Warden acceleration wise.

I don't use it for PVP, but I love my Warden too. The AD5B is just too fun to give up. If I was to use it for PVP, I'd probably do as you suggest to go with S4 and then have to decide between the AD4B and my normal favourite S4 the Rhino.

what happened to the sentinel, i havent played recently i think last patch was before shield changes but the sentinel used to be THE FASTEST VANGUARD topping out at 1125. when did this change?
I was thinking the same question. Sentinel was top vanguard last year. Guess it got speed nerf making it pointless.
I am of the opinion that tier lists should be bell curved. If you had to take one ship each out of B and D tier, and move them to C, which would you choose? I think Scorp would go up and the other cutlass would drop down.

Also, IMO, the Hornet Tracker should have been the 2 seater hornet.
