Paying someone WILL NOT guarantee that it is done right. ONLY YOU can guarantee that.
And if you get this done by a garage, you will pay 3-4 times more at least. Not hard. Drain bolt & fill bolt.
@@joescott1377 that's all it is lol. Only downside is that God awful smelly diff oil lol
This video sounds like its sponsored by a mechanic shop lol just do the change yourself. Yes, both Trans fluid & Diff fluid smell horrific but its a simple job.
I change yearly, I buy the fluid in bulk to bring cost per quart to $9 and all my vehicles use the same GL5 75w85 fluid. Pretty simple on my vehicles just drain and fill no covers to remove.
Thanks for sharing this information. I just hit 32k on my ‘16 CRV since I got it last year. Today I’m having this oil changed.
Please let me know the cost. I am nearing 100,000 on my 2018 CRV.

True Story...I took my 2011 2500 to the Dealer in my town for an oil change. Next morning in the driveway I had an oil leak, checked it out and the drain plug was loose. They said that they get students to do oil changes and if I could get it started and drive it they would fix me up. Never went back... be careful even going to Dealerships.
0:49 why would you put a drain and fill plug on that just make it so you have to remove the bolts make a mess as a reseal it. Looking at you ford
Chevy does the same thing 😔
Fix Or Repair Daily’s have a reputation to uphold ,,,,!
You can remove the diff cover and replace the seal every 100k to get all the impurities that the magnet catches, but other than that, it is like an oil change, you don't remove the oil pan every time you change your oil, or do you?
I've asked 4 shops about changing my diff fluid.
All have said you don't need to change it, just check the level.
Socalpunk, I’m no mechanic but I do the maintenance on my cars. I change the diff fluid on my daughter’s car every 35K miles with OEM fluid (‘18 Honda HR-V). Trying to avoid any future problems.
Well those shops people should know better. When you drain the fluid and it's dirty there is your answer. At least for them.
You're joking?
Cus they are waiting to overhaul your differential.
@@YUNG-fr1kg Stealerships have earned their proper Name by Stealing’s from unsuspecting customers,,,, !

Changing your differential and gear box fluids are as easy as changing your oil 😂😂😂 not a messy job and can be done with few tools.
You're absolutely right.
