      Hey, that idea I had while you were eating a burger, I decided to render it in browser so you don't have to install it and it will run on all platforms including your TV. Also I finished designing most of the Boss GT-1000 swipeable browser mod that I threw in Nita's (Strauss) comments on her rig rundown that people responded favorably to.
      Here's the thing I figured out about gesture control with your foot - I can make it so you can swipe air, but you will destabilize...so I put a box around the sensor so that its range is tuned to the box and you basically can use it like a control surface similar to a glide pad so it support use while standing. The cool part is that since the box is basically invisible to the sensor (it's like the saw guide for a saw, I guess) that if you're down trying to fiddle with your processor/expression unit you can use regular hand gestures to browse and configure your unit for most common things you'd want to assign to a motion for - programmable and learns how you want to run your floor units. If I can make it work for one model/type/mfr, I can make it work for any. :-)

      Pretty much are all from the same factories and rebranded for customer. Mooer and Joyo are the only two I've seen that are somewhat different now and are have their own designs and distribution such as Mooer's attempts at making budget hx stomp/gt1000 competitors; but even still rebrand their products for some retailers ( ie Thomann's Harley Benton house marque are all Joyo pedals/amps)

    Yo yo yo! Buddy! I just stumbled across your TH-cam channel this morning errr I meant this afternoon. In any event, I watched your Amazon basics Ibanez tube screamer review first and then I found the compressor one. I actually own it Kokko compressor and I think it’s great. However, when you opened up the tube screamer and revealed that it was actually a Nux pedal I started getting dizzy. So I can’t figure out if Nux and Kokko are the same company or not. Looking at the very small details of these petals you can see that they are exactly the same. However, I read on a bass forum that the kokko was actually a copy of the Nux. how can this be? I guess I’ll have to keep digging. Thanks for your great videos. I hit the buttons.

    • @compucorder64
      @compucorder64 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Generally, I do think you are right and that's true on both comps. Not a fan of most of these Dynacomp clones without blend. Have to go to the Keeley Compressor Plus or Wampler Ego level before they are useful; and definitely with using the blend control. The exception to the rule of cheap comps not being worth it is the Mooer Yellow comp. I find it transparent/gentle enough that it doesn't necessarily need the blend. And it does often add and subtract some things that can improve the clean tone; can leave it always gently on. The something useful it does is a slight bass firming up that's natural to the compression, then a mild mid-recess and a mild blues drivery treble push that projects the sound better. But it's not as smooth and transparent as the Diamond - they're both good, but different. My goto is the Darkglass Hyperluminal on SYM mode. But the Mooer finds use, often lives always on, on my bass rig and sometimes on clean guitar. It's worth having around. The Walrus Mira is a step up, with clearer tone and more controls - and have been selling for good discounts recently.

    What most likely happened was Amazon wanted to ship before NUX could get the screens with the brand masked off (in PCB fabrication it's called "nomenclature" layer; I worked in Tektronix PCB fab when I was 19, when it existed) and they either agreed to ship some from existing stock or prototype/test/qualification runs or simply didn't tell Amazon because only a few were going to go out on certain models.

    Pedals are for fun.
    Unfortunately the nicer your amp... The more you can justify pricy pedals.
    If you amp is a thr10. Behringer pedal is fine. If it's an original deluxe reverb... Well... Maybe that original ts808 is justified
    I actually really like the ed1 Edward compressor

    So just because Josh over at JHS Pedals did a video on Amazon pedals recently, now everyone has to jump on the bandwagon and do videos on the AmazonBasics pedals?

    It just seems unsettling that suddenly every youtuber seems to be pushing these amazon pedals super hard. I assume it is easy to do affiliate links or something? Can't help but to just feel a sense of low-key dread with all of this amazon "basics" crap... how the hell is a guitar pedal a basic item? Sounds dumb but the fact that they sound good and are made of metal and stuff is the scariest part (for businesses). With them being pushed this hard, who wouldn't buy these?

    I've watched a handful of reviews of them...the switches vary and my guess is they wont work well for long...hate the led lights and well I just wouldnt buy them unless I was desperate.....but I hit like ...hope that helps
