Get him a Big Barker dog bed. Most comfortable bed ever!! Designed specifically for BIG dogs. The one I got for my big guy is 5 yrs old and looks brand new.
Yup had 1 for my 153lb king shepherd before cancer took him. He loved that bed Had one for the back of my rubicon also. My buddies malamute and Rottweiler have it now
My rottie lady slept in the bed every night, head on the same pillow with me every now and then. Sometimes she left me so little space that I had to sleed sideways, but I didn't mind first come first serve. And it never came even to my mind to wake her up and make her to move.

I have a 118lb Sable Shepherd that sleeps in my king size bed. He's a big boy and my gentle giant.

I bought a Great Dane bed for my gentle giant GSD & he fills it up when he stretches out. He outgrew the GSD bed I originally bought for him!
