Really cool build! One thing I thought was quite peculiar is that there is no pedestrian access from the station car parking to the train station. Ignore me if this is a limitation of the engine, but it would seem natural to allow access from the back of the station.
The train depot worked out alright in the end, though definitely agree with others about tunnelling the road instead of raising the rail. And yes can’t wait for the buses!
That retaining wall train line between the roads hits the satisfaction super hard! Haha!! Feels very realistic too from a lot of areas near me! Superb detailing as always! I'm looking forward to more residential expansion 🎉
One of those outside connections has to go to Auridon! For the rail bridges over the roads, I think a more realistic way of doing this would be to pause the game, delete the roads, raise the terrain to the level of the rail yard, then re-add the roads as tunnels. I’m not sure you can do that in CS2 though. If so, though, the result would look like a lot railyards and former railyards near where I live, which have roads going under them. The big advantage, though, is that you’d be laying out track on flat ground, and not needing to worry about pillars and such. Also, I think those train cars really are supposed to be that shiny. Their shape reminds me a lot of Amtrak cars, which have a lot of unpainted stainless steel, and are thus very shiny.
You have some homeless in your parks. These are people with jobs but without houses. They mess with the unemployment values and therefore the demands. This is a known bug that will hopefully be fixed soon. In the meantime, the Bye Bye Homeless mod can rectify this. Also check out the Recolor mod that allows you to change the color of building walls and roofs.
Love it. One suggestion on the rail yard. Instead of all the rail bridges, how about you terraform more, so that the road that goes to the rail yard is a tunnel, instead of all the rail bridges :-)? Could do it on the highway side aswell, but think it’s cool if one side is like it is
For the train connection, it would be cool if they go to Auridon and Solitude!! It will be nice to remove some fencing behind the station for pedestrian access, cos otherwise if they parked there, the would have to take a looooong walk round the block to access the station.
I think that rather than a bunch of individual rail bridges coming off the railyard, the terrain should probably be raised so that the tracks are ground level and the highway would sort of tunnel underneath in real life. Everything looks great though. Awesome detailing 👍🏻
Great build. The long station parking has no access to the station. Sims have to go all roundd the block to get to the other side of the station. Similarly, the neighborhood on the back side of the station has to go round the block rather than access the station from the back due to the fencing. I would also recommend creating a custom residential zoning tool similar to Infrastructurist in his latest video. I feel that with your unique creativity you would run riot with it and create really beautiful assets to diversify this build's look. Finally, i would like to ask that you look to other parts of the world such as Africa (Kenya in my case) and see if you could draw some inspiration from our different building and infrastructure styles. Thanks. See you in the next one. Ps: would really love a park on the hillside. Check out Uhuru Park in Nairobi
I think what might be cool is splitting the hill in half, with the water/downtown portion being turned into a park (so everyone can enjoy the views!) with the back-half perhaps being turned into winding road suburbs, or with the new modular building features, perhaps using one of the new schools for a campus? I could see the small elementary or high-school being used like that with the additional classroom buildings and gymnasiums.
Great job with the rail line and rail yard, especially with where you put the yard which ain't ideal for connecting up. I suggest that when the city builds up in the future, you move that railyard to fill the space between the main rail line and the big bend in the river, up past where the river splits. You might need to straighten out the highway and rail line in that area , so the approach tracks are easier to fit in and build. The space left by moving the railyard i would put a cargo rail freight hub in its place. Yes to making a park on top of the hill, and i suggest putting a ped bridge or subway over/under the railway on the opposite end from the level crossing part, in the patch of land between car park and low rent housing to help those pedestrians have a more direct route.
I wouldn't worry about the rail yard tracks that much, as you grow it's going to change a few times any way. Heading out to the left could be Few York City and to the right Candy DC.
I don't consider myself train police but even I was having conniptions with that rail-yard. LOL . It is possible with better bulldozer to delete the outside track to make it look like a much narrower yard. However it will still register the full size as its ground space but you will be able to run your own track using anarchy alongside the building.
I predict that when you get to the downtown big city build, that you're gonna relocate the train yard which happens all the time in real life. As amazing as the train yard build is, the track connections are just unrealistic for that many bridge spans going over a highway. However, the bypass rail could stay. So yeah, I think you'll end up relocating the train yard whenever this series offers an opportunity to build out a larger scale industrial park. And I'm excited to continue watching.
I like to use the depot capacity changer mod-it makes it so your rail/metro yard, bus/taxi/tram ect depot don''t run out of vehicles so quick, so you don't need to keep building them to keep up with the eventual demand you'll get-the only drawbacks might be that eventually everything has to go back to the depot for maintenance, so sometimes it makes more sense to have multiple depots, and that every transport vehicle comes out of a single point, causing potential jams. But if I am going to make a massive bus line, I try to do it at 2am when traffic isn't so bad and the busses have time to get into positon
I think you should expand on the rail's relevance, perhaps build a smaller town or two along it. Perhaps one each in either inter-city direction, to spread out its use and get some local traffic into the map, traffic other than rail too I guess. Perhaps there's some industry you can build in between like farms, resource extraction or some such.
Been binge-watching this series after buying CS2, and your creativity just blows me away every time. Provides loads of inspiration and ideas too so thanks!
I recommend going all the way up to max simulation speed for detailing, should give you a bit more time for the income to build up for the next project!
Great video. My experience with that homeless mod is it does make a dent but won’t remove the homeless camps and it can cause some dynamic consequences. So it’s not perfect but decidedly better than letting the bug go wild.
That's a lot of rail bridge spaghetti, but it seems like the asset design forces it. I definitely think the Day 1 assets were ridiculously oversized. Speaking of assets, do you feel that you're at a modded CS1 level of detailing, or do you still miss custom assets?
I love & totally stole that technique for lowering bushes into the ground (works well with apple trees too) to get that foliage look! How do you get it so it all stays the same depth & not bunch up on top of other bushes?
For some reason your mods list isn't working for me. I tried exactly the mods you have, and I end up losing the icons for move it, find it, and better bulldozer stops working.
Retaining walls are bugged. You need to fix them every time you load the game. I have tried to contact the mod creator, but received no response. From what I understand, others have tried as well, without success. I hope the mod is not abandoned.
I would NOT like to live at the back of one of those row houses by the train station with nothing short of a parking lot in between :P that sunken stretch of the railways turned out awesome though! I was thinking maybe that lake at the beginning could be part of a nature reserve? or maybe a "pool" for a full-blown posh mixed zone with a towering monument emerging from the waters at its center? hahah
Hmmm... Anarchy. Everywhere... looks like the original map maker has placed station track (twoway double track) in some (all?) places too... you'll have issues down the line with that so something to watch out for. And yep, reckon the Railway Police will be twitching a touch... ;o)
I have to cringe at every rail development in CS2. The game just cannot cope with grading anything properly or having smooth transitions at junctions or over a large distances. Transport Fever 2 handles this so much better, including doing all the auto grading
Bro 5% is insane for trains 2% is MAXIMUM FOR TRAINS. And level grade crossings are okay for low density neighborhoods. BUT NOT FOR HIGH DENSITY CITIES.
Really cool build! One thing I thought was quite peculiar is that there is no pedestrian access from the station car parking to the train station. Ignore me if this is a limitation of the engine, but it would seem natural to allow access from the back of the station.

It looks absolutely beautiful. As always! I love your work. You have become my favorite CS2 creator. :)
That retaining wall train line between the roads hits the satisfaction super hard! Haha!! Feels very realistic too from a lot of areas near me!
Superb detailing as always! I'm looking forward to more residential expansion 🎉
The detail on the train depot is astounding and astonishing! Great work! 👏
Textbook detailing.
For the external city connections you could use Few York and Few Jersey
Love love love how this turned out! This is quickly becoming such a beautiful and dynamic city! The train depot and train station feel very realistic!
One of those outside connections has to go to Auridon!

Outside connection name: Smithen. A city i made based off the Chicagoland area
I would love to see the park on the hillside. And yes, a train ride first person will be fun in the future! Love that you are doing this series!!!
Great video. Wonder if you could add some broken fences around the side of the highway road (near the railyard)
Your builds always have that lived in feel. Very well done!
Somehow you always manage to amaze me with your builds and detailing. Another great episode.
Lovely addition to Few Haven. Looking forward to the buses.

Most car parks at older stations in the UK are former goods platforms/yards. Which is why they are long and narrow.
Love it. One suggestion on the rail yard. Instead of all the rail bridges, how about you terraform more, so that the road that goes to the rail yard is a tunnel, instead of all the rail bridges :-)? Could do it on the highway side aswell, but think it’s cool if one side is like it is

Watching you speed detail areas is so satisfying ❤
That came out really well!
Looking forward to you connecting up the buses.
And yes, a park on that slope would look great.

Some really lovely detailing! The smaller train stations is such a great addition and it looks great in the middle of this first part of the city
Thanks Nomis!
Been waiting for a new eps! Follow this series very close hahah,... Thanks Few!
Been binge-watching this series after buying CS2, and your creativity just blows me away every time. Provides loads of inspiration and ideas too so thanks!
Ah thank you so much! Glad the series can give you ideas!
Oh wow! It's amazing to see what you are able to create with the help of a few detailing mods in CS2.
Love your videos! 🎉❤ So talented, everyone must see! ☺
Very nice! It's all in the detailing!
I recommend going all the way up to max simulation speed for detailing, should give you a bit more time for the income to build up for the next project!
Decided to have a Friday double bill :)
The station sits in really nicely. Going to look lovely with the buses. Fewhaven is developing beautifully.
Thanks Ebow!

And I love your videos🫶🏻
another great episode
I love the train lines
Awesome video miss fewc ❤ one of the outside train lines would be named Naperville!
Auridon must be 1 of the outside connections.
Have you tried the recolor mod? You can change the colors of buildings, props, plants, and even people's clothes! It is a detailer's dream.
It's starting to get some character...Which I feel CS2 lacks.
i think itd look better if u did ur own bus station with roads, itll fill the space in rly well i think
Welcome back to another episode of Bridgetopia, following Captain Bridget Jones in Bridgetown Abbey 😅
LoL Do you still love trains???
Ty for the VOD. 🥃🥃
That's a lot of rail bridge spaghetti, but it seems like the asset design forces it. I definitely think the Day 1 assets were ridiculously oversized.
Speaking of assets, do you feel that you're at a modded CS1 level of detailing, or do you still miss custom assets?
for honest ,i have no patience to detailed a huge city, you need a very big patience for it.
You could call one of the outside connections Few Orleans. Also, have you messed around with the recolor mod?
I love & totally stole that technique for lowering bushes into the ground (works well with apple trees too) to get that foliage look! How do you get it so it all stays the same depth & not bunch up on top of other bushes?
I found it! That 2nd to last option under Snapping. I saw you playing with trees and made a note to look at that. Thank you!
Does anyone thank that the passenger trains look like USA Amtrak trains.
They’re meant to look like Amtrak trains on US themed maps, because Amtrak is the largest US service provider.
What happens if you connect rail lines without the rail yard?
For some reason your mods list isn't working for me. I tried exactly the mods you have, and I end up losing the icons for move it, find it, and better bulldozer stops working.
Why not sunk the station?
Retaining walls are bugged. You need to fix them every time you load the game. I have tried to contact the mod creator, but received no response. From what I understand, others have tried as well, without success. I hope the mod is not abandoned.
