      It is an awesome car mate you won't regret it, and likely values are only going one way in the long term 👍

      @@CarswithJamesMosley definitely iv seen people reviewing them who have drove powerful cars and say a tuned Mk2 RS will beat alot of cars on the road its definitely the only other manual car I'd have with my Astra h vxr 😃👍

    Hi mate, cool video.
    What current set up do you have on your own car? Was there a noticeable difference between yours and the cp420 in the way it performed? Cheers

    • @CarswithJamesMosley
      @CarswithJamesMosley  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate, thanks! My car is running the mountune MP350 kit (plus a de-res), if you haven't already seen it, I made a video here - th-cam.com/video/jzEFlRGzSbE/w-d-xo.html
      In terms of performance difference then yes I would say there is a noticeable difference as you would expect with the power difference. The CP420 does pull away from me in a straight line (we've tried it) but possibly not by as much as you'd think. The CP420 does feel a little more aggressive in its delivery too - the mountune almost feel OEM+ to be honest.
      The noise also makes a massive difference though in the CP420 - the KMS exhaust adds so much drama and makes it seem even faster when you're driving it.
      I'd like to compare something like this with a mountune MR375 as I feel like that would be pretty close in all honesty!

    • @danflegg9228
      @danflegg9228 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I would expect there to be a noticeable difference in the two with it being 70bhp on paper.
      I have been toying with switching over to cp420ht for a little while now, my rs has been pumabuild 400 since 2014 and run 389bhp on the rollers in 2015.
      I think when we are talking anything 380 to 420, there is going to be very little in it side by side and it's more about the way the car drives and makes you feel!!
      Thanks for the info on your finding with the cp420, certainly helps to know it's a good map and felt strong. Keep the video pumping on the rs MK2, great fun!

    That's one thing i wasn't sure about the driving position in my mk2 rs 6 years ago i have got used to it now.... it could have been lower so i dropped the car as low as i could 👍

    • @CarswithJamesMosley
      @CarswithJamesMosley  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I guess I've kind of got used to it with mine, but I have to admit it felt nice sitting a little lower in this one! 👌

    Enjoyed the video 👍🏻 I would strongly recommend a sabre tune if your wanting more power from your car. I’m running 456 bhp with 380 lbft torque and it’s perfect for me…. Not over the top torque wise so is easy on the clutch.

    I have JWR 120i map on mine, with KMD
    s thunder, ProAlloy and mountune plenum, but doesnt have fuel pump yet, so i drive only JWR100 now. Do you have oportunity to compare JWR (Autotech) vs others

    Nice video mate. Was it much more powerful than yours? You didn’t seem too excited about any additional power? I remember having a play with a CP420 in my MP215 Fiesta ST and it annihilated me 😂 enjoyed watching you take it for a blast though, some very nice sounding pops and bangs too 👌🏻

    • @CarswithJamesMosley
      @CarswithJamesMosley  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate, I would say that yes it did feel more powerful but it still feels like very much the same car, like it wasn't night and day although still noticeable if that makes sense?
      I also took the owner for a spin in mine and from the passenger seat he didn't feel a massive difference, but when we had a little play while I followed him, he was slowly pulling away from me. Again, not a massive difference but still quicker nonetheless.
      I think the noise of the Kms on this one definitely made it feel psychologically quicker in isolation too, and definitely made it a proper experience to drive!

      @@CarswithJamesMosley I reckon the non res Milltek 3 inch system would be a good shout. I’m on the lookout for one myself. What’s next with yours now then?

    • @CarswithJamesMosley
      @CarswithJamesMosley  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarFocused yeah that's the exhaust I'd like ultimately and will also need to get the sports cat and upgrade from 2.75 to 3 inch downpipe if I go MR375. Next for me hopefully is a wheel refurb - they're not kerbed but a couple of them are starting to corrode on the inside due to age. I'll be keeping them silver though 👍
