I cant believe the difference just swapping the exhaust has made on mine. full turbo back with sports cat and as you say, the front end feels like its going to lift off the ground and struggling for traction. In fact, it actually scares me a bit now as it feels so ferocious.
For anyone wondering the Mountune/Collins/MSD way to get up to 375bhp is to use a 6 bar fuel pump, alternatively you can save yourself £1000+ by getting custom mapping with an original 115lph 4 bar fuel pump and slightly larger injectors - the original fuel pump is plenty capable of handling the demand. 550cc bosch injectors will be enough to run 375bhp, 650 or 750cc (modded 550cc) will give an extra bit of headroom. And theres absolutely no need to replace the original recirc aside from adding some extra turbo chatter, they handle the boost just fine and dont bleed boost unless damaged, whereas metal recircs can bleed boost past the piston. Also with custom mapping youll get a dyno run on the day so you know what the car is actually running as opposed to just getting a flash tune and driving home.. Anyway now we just need a follow up video where youre actually wringing it out - lets see the top end pull that you were talking about ;)
@@pappers_srs3974 ive got a mk2 ST mapped by Sabre Tuning, talking with Sabre they said its the same for the mk2 RS at this level of tuning, albeit with the original RS turbo (the RS and ST have the exact same 115lph 4 bar fuel pump setup). Ive got a sabre 400r hybrid turbo, 550cc bosch injectors, intercooler, plenum, full 3" exhaust, mountune x4 airbox (modified outlet to suit the ST crossover/MAF), snabb crossover, original recirc from 2008 still working fine. Mine did 374bhp with this setup, i added an AEM 340lph for future upgrades, otherwise id have left the original fuel pump.
Appreciate all this mate but I’ve always wanted a mountune MR375 car and that’s what I’m happy with 😊 Feels like the perfect amount of power for the roads now 👌🏻 Don’t worry about what I’m doing with my car as long as you’re happy with yours that’s all that matters 👊🏻
Time flies when you're having fun I put the mountune 330 on my mk 4 focus a few months ago and that made a big difference just a shame it looks like the end of fast Ford's but at least we had them to enjoy keep the videos coming 👍👍
Have a mk2 JWR 420 and feel as a few have discover as being a tad jerky under light throttle and your 375 reviews have me pondering if less power is better in the long term…..although I am toying with an awd conversion as well hahaha
Someone else said this about their Revo map too. The MR375 is very OEM in feel until you nail it, which is how I like it. It was just far too eager beforehand on light throttle. Felt a bit unnatural!
Mines is Revo tuned and the way you described the superchips map is very similar to how mine feels aswell. May need to look into options for a smoother map after seeing your reaction I think 😂

@@CarFocused crazy you’ve had the RS for 5 years now, time flies past. I sold my mk7.5 ST of 7 years a few months back and managed to find one of the few 3-door mk8.5 ST fiestas made, really enjoying it so far, the 3-pot engine is great.

@CarFocused yea ok, Perhaps wastegate mod is for the next stage, or hybrid would be next, not sure, the stock wastegate is getting old now, you might wana do some research on the upgrade. There a bit like the stock recirculation valve, made of junk.

Nah because I think with that it’s recommended to have updated internals and the clutch probably wouldn’t like it either. I think 375 is the sweet spot 👌🏻

Really happy for you the car looks and sounds great . I was at Mountune's yesterday my self , refitting my hybrid turbo they actually calibrated my car whilst driving it . I've now got the same badge as you for the m390 . I noticed more top end torque and pull. Nice to see Fred and his garage I must pay him a visit for a service in the new year . Thanks for sharing
they absolutely fkn hate these cars here in Australia.. If i take my modified fiesta ST to a shop, they wait till you turn your back and then they all line up for a joyride.. they will all have turns at abusing your car... cold engine and all.. remember "95% of an engines damage is done when it is cold"...................

Damn very tempted to go for the same power on my ST now, my car is similar to how you described your old map, sometimes full boost on part throttle.
What map have you got? Mine is very reactive now as in you get out what you put in, in terms of throttle application. Much better tbh!
the tune i bought my fiesta st with installed only gives me full boost if i floor it.. apparently its a Peron stage 2 Pro tune..

What direction did you go with yours mate?
That's the direction I took, hence 650 injectors being fitted and custom mapping.

I did on the ST with 550cc injectors and I hit 23psi with the turbosmart wastgate,
