My C55 AMG is My Daily Driver Again!!

- Disclaimer: I recorded these videos a little while ago (mid January), just didn't get around to editing it and uploading. I have been daily driving the car for a solid 2 and half months now.
Excited to be piloting this beast again as my daily driver, it is such a fun car to drive and I'm so excited to make more videos of it again. I have a few videos already in the pipeline, one of which I'll be recording this Sunday on replacing the transmission conductor plate that went bad the other day, resulting in me having to tow the car home. In depth videos of this car on TH-cam are few and far between and I really would like to be a source for potential and current owners to get info about the car!

Hnat Automotive Thanks! I have a question about the C55. I want to get a muffler delete but I heard you need to remove the stock tips. Do you know why?
Mike I thought of doing that but a lot of my friends were telling me not to delete the secondaries unless you’re getting headers and they told me I couldn’t delete my secondaries cause of where I live. (Cali)
I had my eyes on one of these for a while but I figured I want a 55 Kompressor. I know it’s a much lighter car but I feel like the M113K is the real deal. Just imagine a C55 with that engine or even better a CLK 55 with the Kompressor engine... however awesome car!

Potentially buying one right now up here in Canada. It's a Mars Red one (not a red guy but more of a rare color like yours) and it has a kleeman tune and headers. Was going to go for a W211 E55 AMG but after watching your vids as well as legit street cars I've decided on a C55. Fingers crossed everything goes well with the inspection...or else I'm back to square one as there aren't many of these up here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Mars Red is an awesome color on these cars, definitely a rare find! Good luck with the purchase!!

Wonderfull car. One note, that remap that they do by sending away the ECU. They only change the kern fields on the air/fuel ratio. If you do now a datalog on you engine en then drive on the road how they test it on the dyno, you will see proberly that some things not work properly. If have realy bad experiense with this kind off (tuning). Specialy white this kind off engine you should better do a remap on the dyno. Spacialy with those nice upgrades👍🏻

You should look into getting factory Xenon headlights or angel eyes for the c55 it would change the look a lot. I have them on mine and the car looks hella better it also gives it more character
I completely agree with you. Wish I had those, but even for a used set you're looking at well over $1000, and I'm trying to save up for my next big project right now haha

It's a great daily! Calm when you need to just run errands, but a beast when you want to do some canyon runs and spirited driving.

Had a C320 before this! Great everyday car that’s still fun!
Potential buyer here, I would love to see a review of the car as a whole, driving feel, engine performance, comfort. Maybe review the interior quality and especially I would like to hear about the transmission shift speeds and different modes it has Thank you !

hey, i just bought an 05 C55 w/99k miles, Renntech R2 supercharger/intake/ECU/monolites also by renntech, this guy put in about 40k in upgrades, car came with key but ignition wont turn so im in the process of trouble shooting it.. Do you by chance know of any aftermarket ECU's that provide a more or less plug and play harness, so i can bypass all the security BS?
I do not I apologize. I would recommend contacting Renntech about the issue.
Pretty sure your EZS (EIS) module is at fault. They sometimes go out without a warning.

haha that's awesome! I don't venture up to LA too often, but if I do go up with the car it's for a meet up with other AMG owners in the group I'm apart of called AMG so cal lounge. You should check it out on FB, many people live in the LA area and there are always tons of meets going on!
What part of SoCal are you from? I just requested to join that AMG SoCal Lounge group. I didn't even know that existed, I've been looking for an AMG club for a while now LOL so thanks. Also, if you're in Cali, how'd you get by with removing your secondary cat? And where can I get shorty headers for this thing LMFAO I've been looking online and it seems like not many people have them anymore.
What kind of hp did you increase with tune?
In the 25 HP range (at the crank), its not a ton, but enough to liven up the car a bit for some more fun.
whats the hp an torque after reflash?
The tune will bump you up about 30-40 HP (at the crank) and torque will also go up about the same amount 40 or so foot-pounds.

19's all around, 8.5 inch wide in the front, 9.5 inch wide in the rear.

No problem, I'm happy to answer your questions! They are hub centric 5mm H&R spacers.
