    I just came back to these videos.
    I been using zagg protectors for 10 years now. They hold up for years. I was buying the tablet size. I just purchased another pair of louboutins and all zagg makes now is glass screen protectors. I went on ebay to find the plexiglass screen protectors. I put zagg protectors on 8 pairs of my shoes. This last pair was a challenge finding the zagg protectors even on ebay. I found a seller with the old zagg plexi protectors for iPad mini and I brought 4 of them in case i buy more loubs. I think I'm done. Anyway, it seems that zagg only makes glass protectors now for phones and tablets.

      sinai lee I’ve peeled them off once... when I went to take off the two iPhone sized ones and replace with an iPad sided one to not have the seam... I was Ssuuuper careful and it came off ok, but it didn’t feel like the kind of thing I would want to repeat much... but I’ve gotten at least 15 wears out of my most worn pairs and they still look good... so if I can even double that it’s worth it... you can always refinish the bottoms and start the process over if it does come off...but getting that many wears makes it reasonable to me, if that makes sense:

      @@Lu-jx3mi for daily wear, I’d be more inclined to go with a sneaker ... since those can be cleaned up on the bottoms and definitely don’t have to worry about wear and tear as much... also depends on how you upkeep shoes in general ... like, I always keep shoe trees in my dress shoes and rotate them so the wear is spread out. And if there’s a lot of walking, etc it all factors in. Another friend I know just puts the red rubber on them immediately. I’m a school teacher so I’m careful with my budget but I splurge on shoes and Transformers 😂 For me, I love the bright red painted look, so my goal with the screen protectors was to preserve that look for as long as possible. I will say my most worn pair is like 20 something wears so I can’t speak to literal daily use, but they’ve worked so far! If they eventually get worn to crap on the bottom, I would personally get them refinished and restart the process with the Zaggs... I got plenty of wears out of them that way! It’s hard to say exactly because everyone has different shaped feet and these shoes are expensive 😂 I would always recommend being able to try a few on if that’s possible… for me, personally, I don’t have wide feet… and I find the dress shoes true to size. I wear 9.5 MOST of the time and a 42.5 works for me… the sneakers run very large on all but one of my pair and I started ordering a half size down after my first pair of sneakers I bought online… you can always add an extra insole to help with that if needed. If you’re looking at a loafer style shoe (no lace dress shoe) then you might want to size down half a size too so that the shoe doesn’t get too loose as it breaks in… hopefully that helps some!

    • @LouboutinReviews
      @LouboutinReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Firdaus Radzi Izat I consider them more of a special occasion shoe, as I’m sure with constant wear the bottoms will eventually scuff... without protectors, any leather soled shoe will wear out depending on the amount of concrete walking you do... that said, the leather on the shoe itself is good quality and if properly taken care of should last! With the protectors on them, and owning a couple pair now, I might only pop one on every few weeks so they are in a rotation. I know I’m rambling lol but to answer your question, I would personally never use them as a daily shoe, more because I like popping them on for special occasions or the occasional trip around. Also depends on your income and spending cash. I have a friend who buys them all the time and wears them down, sends to a cobbler for resole, and does it again! I don’t have that kind of cash as a school teacher so I want mine to last as long as possible ;)

      @LouboutinReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I generally like dress shoes, so I find them as comfortable as any other … but nothing out of this world … the goal is clearly the fashion side of the aisle, so it depends what interested you about them and what you’re used to wearing.
      I do find that the suede ones feel the best out of the ones I own, but they’re also the ones you have to be more careful with due to the material.
      The typical person would probably get these for special occasions and I find them perfect for that. But if you’re looking for an “everyday dress shoe” I probably wouldn’t go this route unless you just have plenty of money to spend on them. I have around 13 pair now of their dress shoes/sneakers and I usually wear like one or two a week, so they get rotated and don’t really wear out, so I plan to have them for a very long time… whereas I have “daily” $100-150 dress boots that I wear most days to work and I get about a year out of them before they need replacing

      Depends on your goal, but I don’t personally protect my Louboutin sneakers with any kind of sole cover… I do, however, wipe them down as soon as I get home … sometimes with a baby wipe, or some generic sneaker wipes I picked up on Amazon if they’re a little extra dirty. That keeps them looking reasonably new for the next time… Main thing is make sure that anything you use to clean the sole is safe for whatever the rest of the shoe is made of (leather, suede, etc)… if the rest of the shoe isn’t white, you wouldn’t want a bleach product to get on those parts on accident, for instance. BmxBaby1 Depends what I find when I need a new one... main thing is DON’T buy the glass ones... there’s an HD one out I’ve used just fine, as long as it doesn’t say HD Glass 😂 Let me see if I can find a current link

      BmxBaby1 looks like one still available (select wet apply) and YES! I love that these preserve the original look! My predicted plan if these ever wear out is to A) try and peel carefully and replace or B) if the paint comes off with the protector, get them refinished and start over 😂. So far I’ve gotten plenty of wears out of them so seems worth it. I’d also consider the shiny rubber soles but for now I want that red paint look :)

      I would actually recommend iPad sized 😂 And as long as they have some kind of “wet apply” protector, it might work. I’ve stuck with the Zagg brand because they’ve been amazingly successful and I’ve seen mixed results with other similar options … so on my $700+ dress shoes, I don’t mind the extra $15-30 for the protectors… But if you find an accessible, affordable option, keep me posted!! Also, I’ve only ever done this on brand new shoes, not sure how well it adheres to partially worn pairs

    You need to apply ACRYLIC FINISH after you paint them red. It's what makes them glossy.

      Oh for sure! It was just a test run to see how it looked … my issue was more the brush strokes on the paint (better if you could tape off the shoe and apply with an airbrush) …. I’ve used the paint for minor touch ups and it’s been great, but I’ve protected the soles with the Zagg screen protectors so never had to cover a large area with the paint

      Can you give more details on your experience? Did you use Zagg protectors or another type? Did you use them on a new pair of shoes or ones that had been worn already? If they were new shoes and the Zagg brand, how many times did you wear them before they messed up? Just want to know what part of the “didn’t work” you’re referring to

      @@LouboutinReviews it was a brand new pair of shoes. I don’t think i use the zagg brand screen protector, the screen protector i used wasn’t sticky enough to stay in my shoes. But going to try zagg.

      @@luxe.saleshopper yeah... and I definitely shop online (legit retailers) ... I probably won’t buy another for a little while still, but always on sale :). The Zagg screen protectors I use are literally the ones you buy for an iPad but it HAS TO BE the wet apply kind, NOT the glass kind. So you end up applying and cutting to fit. I have no intention of taking them off unless they get disgusting, but I’m at least 10-20 wears into all of my dress shoes and they still generally look fine. Definitely a risk of removing paint when you take them off, but my whole goal was to keep them as “like new” as possible every time I wore them. So even if after 30 wears I have to take the Zaggs off and the bottoms are ruined...I’ll just resole them at that point. But I’ll be happy I got so many wears with a “shiny perfect red sole” instead of just one wear out of the house then ugh 😂

      @@luxe.saleshopper I honestly just go on Amazon or eBay and see what pops up... you can use the ones that say “HD” as long as they DONT say “HD Glass.” As long as the package contents say something about a squeegee you’re usually fine!
      And here’s a link to the video I did putting them on... kinda a long video, but might be helpful if this is your first time trying it out!
