    Where can I find this screen protector?

    • @LouboutinReviews
      @LouboutinReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It seems to have gotten harder to find over the years … but I usually search eBay or Amazon for an “original” or “wet apply” Zagg protector whenever I need a new one. Mostly make sure they don’t say “glass” at all … Based on other people’s feedback, you can use the HD ones but NOT HDX… I don’t know what the difference is but they don’t stick the same…

  • @arthurn1172

    Between then and now have you seen if the screen protector pulls paint off of the show when removing it or changing it?

    • @LouboutinReviews
      @LouboutinReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      If I’m being totally honest, I currently wear the sneakers all the time but only really bust out the dress shoes for going to plays, weddings, or other times I’m dressing up more … so I haven’t been wearing them “constantly” … however, here’s a video I posted not toooo long ago where I peel them off a pair … as long as you’re careful, it seems ok! My main goal was to preserve the look of the red soles for as long as possible and not necessarily keep them in mint condition, and for that goal I think it’s been really successful!

      I honestly just do an eBay or amazon search for 12.9 iPad size, just make sure it’s not the glass ones... Zagg’s website has them available, but I can usually find them between $20-30 somewhere

      I just double checked my box and in this video I was apparently using a 9.7 inch size protector... I don’t know why that just sounds too small, but it’s what the box says... maybe the bigger one is still better though to give you extra space around your cuts!

      I’m glad it’s helpful and congrats on the engagement!!! Whenever I need a new one I typically just search eBay or Amazon for them… just have to make sure the contents mention “squeegee” and/or “applicator gel/spray/etc.” They are sometimes referred to as “original” or “wet apply” but I always check the photo of the back of the box for the contents to feel sure. You CAN use the HD ones, as long as it’s NOT HD Glass.

      Great questions!!! So with the sneakers I don’t because I can basically just wipe them off when I get home :) I was more worried about the actual red painted leather getting ripped up. The issue I also have with the protectors now is that everyone has moved to the “glass” ones. Your best bet is to search eBay for “iPad Zagg original” and just make sure the listing doesn’t say glass anywhere.. there is an HD one that’s ok, as long as it’s not HD glass. If the photos show the back of the box and it mentions anything about a squeegee then you should be good to go! I honestly have been more focused on the sneakers lately so I haven’t needed to buy new protectors in a while, but that’s what I used to do :)

      @@Empress_BX I haven’t used them, but honestly the next best thing are those glossy red “vibram” replacement soles. In theory, some people buy the shoes and replace them immediately but I feel like I would want to let my pair wear naturally first and then replace. Back when I first did this years ago the only red vibram was a dull, darker red and to me it ruined the whole look… the new shiny red ones seem pretty awesome, but I can’t speak from personal experience how they are, just that that would be my next thing to try for myself

    • @LouboutinReviews

    Hello, how would you say these greggo shoes fit? im usually a 9.5 (42.5) in most dress shoes are these true to size, or are they smaller fitting and I should go up half a size? Also, do these screen protectors make them slippery on carpet and smooth surfaces indoors? thanks

    • @LouboutinReviews
      @LouboutinReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sager Alanizi As long as you don’t have a “wide foot” I haven’t found a need to go up half a size. I generally wear 9.5/42.5 in dress shoes also and these work for me... I found I actually went DOWN half a size when I picked up a pair of monkstraps, but for the lace ups where you can control the tightness a bit, true to size worked best for me! And the Zagg protectors do not add any slickness at all! I find them to be exactly the same as before I put them on. I rotate my shoes, so although they are protected I probably only wear them once or twice a month each (parties, special events, etc) and my most worn pair has probably around 15-20 wears and still look great! I don’t know how these protectors hold up to daily wear, but I plan to use them on ANY other Louboutins I pick up. Even if they eventually go bad, and I take them off, and IF the red comes off with them, I can always have them refinished and start over. My friend doesn’t protect his at all and he has to refinish them quite often...but I think the protectors keep them looking “new” for a really long time and overall is less money than the maintenance he has to do.

      Bobby Allen Awesome! Thank You! One will take care of a one pair of shoes? Or do I need two?

    • @LouboutinReviews
      @LouboutinReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jonathan that might depend on the size of your shoes... I wear a 42.5 and l can get it all on one sheet with some care... that said, I’m trying to get the soles and the heels covered like I do in this video... If you don’t want to cover the heels, you can give yourself more wiggle room, or maybe find an obsolete iPhone set for the heel parts for pretty cheap.
      But if this is your first time (and I’m assuming it is, and you want to be extra careful) I would try to give yourself way more room that you need when you trace the shoe.... way easier to trim excess than get frustrated peeling and re-sticking while panicking that you’re ruining an expensive pair of shoes 😂
      And lastly, are you applying these to a new pair or one that’s been worn already?

    • @xarm2
      @xarm2 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bobby Allen Yes a new pair. I’ve seen another video and a guy was using a scotch vinyl clear 3M Clear Bra Paint Protection Bulk Film Roll 6-by-39-inches www.amazon.com/dp/B00B3IW48Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MWn9EbRVBVXMA it turned out not bad so I’ll use 3M for the heel. Since I’ve already ordered it.

    • @LouboutinReviews
      @LouboutinReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jonathan sounds like a plan!! Definitely follow up if you notice any ease of application between the different materials or how they might wear.... The heels are always easier in general to apply because they’re small and flat

    @esthermartinez3744 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is it slippery ??? Scared I put them on and I’m slipping ? Thank you !!!

    • @LouboutinReviews
      @LouboutinReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the men’s shoes, I don’t find them to be any more or less slippery than how they start off brand new... if it’s for a woman’s heel, and they normally find them to be slippery, then this might not fix that, but it won’t make it MORE slippery than out of the box if that makes sense... also, once you’ve walked on concrete a few times you will get some “pitting” in the protector and that might add a little grip. Lastly, I’ve only ever applied them to brand new pairs, so I don’t know how well it adheres to a partially worn pair

      What size shoe do you wear? I’m a 42/42.5 and I’m almost positive I’ve used the 9.7 inch ones to cover the parts other than the “arch” in the middle that doesn’t touch the floor.
      I usually search eBay/Amazon when I need more. I think last year I found some 2 packs for like $20 and bought a couple because they usually ran me around $35 in the past.
      Which style shoe did you go with?

  • @MoonstrikerCrypto
    @MoonstrikerCrypto 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I thought about doing this as I just bought my first pair. The question is how often will I have to redo this? I think protecting the sole may raise my resale value by $100(after I use it for a few years) which may not be worth the time, hassle, and cost. Thoughts?

    • @LouboutinReviews
      @LouboutinReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it completely depends on your personal goal. I don’t protect mine with the intention of reselling later at a better price… in fact, the protectors themselves run a risk of peeling the paint off when you remove them even (I’ve done it once successfully but it seemed a little risky while doing it). The reason I do this is because it’s crystal clear compared to other protectors and so it makes it look like I’m wearing a brand new pair every time I wear them. I can’t comment too much on longevity because I don’t wear the dress shoes daily (I wear the sneakers far more often… and I don’t protect the sneakers, just wipe them up when i get home) but I would say some of my pairs I’ve worn at least 20 times now and they still look great! Since I wear them for special occasions this has totally done what I wanted to give me that beautiful red sole every wear, otherwise the first time you walk on concrete … bye bye red bottom 😂 I think for woman’s heels the fact that you see the red on the arch as they stand makes protecting them a little less necessary but for a mens shoe you mostly only see it when sitting cross legged and that’s a lot of surface area to be worn off and look “ehhh” after a few wears.

      @@LouboutinReviews I hear you. Makes sense. I bought two. A high top spikes sneaker which I love and the blue/red Arpoador. The Arpoador is the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever put on. It has the rubber lining right dead center behind the heel. Not sure what they were thinking. And it's a shame because I love the look on that sneaker. I tried triple socks and can't go more than 10 minutes. It really sucks to have to get more creative just to wear it when you are paying that much. • @LouboutinReviews
      @LouboutinReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So far I’ve only taken one off (I had used two iPhone sized ones overlapping and I wanted to replace...) I’ve got a video of my peeling it off carefully. It was successful but didn’t feel like something I would want to do frequently.
      Otherwise, I’ve yet to take them off any of my shoes and they still look really nice! Most worn pair is around 20 times so even if they do get messed up and the soles ruined taking them off I’ll be super happy they lasted so long looking “brand new” and I’ll just get them refinished and start over.
      If they only lasted a few wears I wouldn’t waste my time but I think it just depends on your goal ... I’ve only ever done this with brand new shoes so no experience with a partially worn sole

      Gracias!!! Yo también tengo la pintura especial para pintarlos... la intención es no gastarlo tan rápido por usar los Zagg protectors... pero no sé si van a pegar lo mismo después de ya caminar en los zapatos... asi es mejor seguir pintándolos después de cada rato... de todos modos son muy bonitos y quiero protegerlos lo más posible :)
      Disculpa si mi español no es perfecto, lo aprendí en la escuela hace mucho :D

      J Andrade Justo lo que imaginé. Debe ser de la marca Angelus “Walk on red” que son quienes tienen el color más similar pero no hacen envíos acá a Ecuador 😢😢 Los compré hace ya un par de años en un viaje a Los Ángeles.

      I do it to keep the sole looking shiny and red for basically forever... unlike the women’s heels where you get the pop of red while standing even If the front part is worn, a men’s dress shoe is best appreciated when sitting with a leg crossed... I want that red shining all the way across the room 😂
