Is Criterion Channel Worth It ? My 6 Month Streaming Service Review

I've been using Criterion Channel for the past 6 months, and I'm taking the opportunity to show you what I think about the service. Is the Criterion Channel really worth it?
In this video I take you through the four devices I've experienced through the app: iPhone, iPad mini, laptop, and TV. Which device has the easiest interface? Stay tuned to find out!
I not only take you through the functionality, I will also list off what I like about the actual content within the app from the original content, arthouse and independent films, and of course the classic cinema from around the world. I also share my thoughts on the main pro's and con's I have with the service as a whole.
I plan on doing a one year review of this service, so let me know if you have any other questions that I can answer in the comment section, or that I can make sure I find out over the next six months before the one year review! I already have watch more of the independent and original content on my list!

Although Criterion is only available for sign up in US & Canada, they don't seem to region lock. I was over in Africa with my fiance and we were able to enjoy Criterion through local Internet. We watched "It Happened One Night" 😊

@@ClassicKellyYT I just made a false Apple ID which claims to be from the US. So I'm able to access it even though I'm from Australia.

Love the bloopers haha so natural the humour. More more more haha thanks btw for reviewing the channel I am subscriber and I must say it's an incredible formula for the criterion company. I own blu rays too but man not enough space and enough money lol so a monthly fee is great!

CC has been having streaming issues recently. Their movies don't play sometimes and when they do, they have other issues like the picture cuts out and turns black. It also doesn't play back from the last point watched in the film. It always starts from the beginning of the film.
If these technical problems are not fixed, I will have to discontinue my annual subscription.

Thorough review. I watch on a Windows laptop and I'm finding the movies buffer every few minutes. I tried on my iPhone and that doesn't happen, so the channel may have a problem with Windows.

I have noticed it’s fine on my Mac but buffers a little weird on my iPad (granted my iPad is kinda old now). I usually see that there is an update on the iPad that fixes it fairly quickly though. No experience using it on Windows, but good thing to consider!

Have you had trouble with frames skipping while watching on tv? If so did you find any fixes?

Do they offer their entire collection? Or do they rotate?

They rotate movies, both general curated collections for certain topics or themes, as well as a wider array. They have movies that expire each month as well. They also have original content too.

I dont understand why playstation cant do the criterion app

My guess is The Criterion doesn't want to pay the percentage Sony is charging.
