Martin Klein. My 029 Super does not have that big washer behind the clutch. Are you sure it's required on this one? Also, I noticed you didn't use a piston-stop when installing the clutch. Also I know that the clutch doesn't need to be real tight as the reverse threads cause it to tighten on it's own after some use. Great video. More instructive than a lot of others I've seen.

If you have a roached cylinder on an 029, you can upgrade to an 039 with a new piston/cylinder. Everything's the same but that & it's a bolt-in.

Another tip, DO NOT USE an impact with a piston stop! I don't like to use 'em anyway, prefer rope.

The 029 was produced with two different shaft lengths. The longer of the two used the cover washer behind the clutch. The other had none. That's the problem in a nutshell. If your 029 doesn't have the washer, It was by design.

Good to know thank you! I picked the saw up off market place for 100$ and it looked like someone had tried to fix the oiling issue before I picked it up so no telling if it is/isn’t supposed to have that washer. Thanks for the comments and the view! 👍

Does the 029 super have same oil pump?

I’m not 100% sure but I would imagine they are the same pump, if you search for it on the internet for 029/029 super it brings up the same pump…

OK. I think you're problem with the sprocket drum and E-clip clearance was caused by the addition of that big washer it didn't have when you disassembled it. Make sense?
