Also, the sideway laser light on the dyson shows dirt so much better than just a white LED headlight which other vacuums seem to have. I was so impressed with my gen 5 that I have become a dyson fanboy. Bought their hairstyler airwrap for my wife and she loves it. Bought the airfilter hot cool link and I love that. First I wanted a Dyson, then decided on the Miele, now watching this I'm switched back on the Dyson. I know I'm not loyal but I'm so confused, until you came along and showed me the light.
Dyson's are replaced about every two to three years. The Chinese motor and other components just don't last. The Miele will last about 4 to 5 times that long due to it's German made components and USA made motor. But I'm just a vacuum technician that has actually opened these up and repaired them. Also, parts availability can be a problem for the Dyson. Dyson's are disposable. Miele's are meant to be highly serviceable and last. For a business, however, I would get a bagged vacuum, as all commercial vacuums are bagged. Lower maintenance and better filtration. SEBO would be my choice.
I like the Dyson but I hate it’s high pitch sound also that the “turbine” design Wich is gold or purple or differs on every model it’s just decorative if you pull it apart it’s nothing it’s just a design selling trick,so I don’ like been fulled (not to that extent at least )and at that price point ,I ve noticed that the spinning brush throws around small pieces.so all those are negatives Dyson but the Miele it has the can at a spot that makes cleaning under furniture difficult if not impossible. PS your video was spot on thanks
I have both. Single cyclonic designs require much more frequent filter cleaning. After every use, practically. Although I’m not a fan of how flimsy the Dyson feels, I am impressed with how clean the exhaust filter stays. I’m also impressed with how well it cleans the carpet; for a stick that is.
@@MusicClements78 good vacuums use cyclones to capture the majority of dust before it reaches the filter. That keeps it running well longer. The Miele has no separation system so the filter clogs too easily
Fine dust particles are not supposed to reach your filter. The filter is supposed to be the last line of defence. If you have too much dust on your filter, it means the cyclones and the meshed shrouds in the bin aren't working as they are supposed to. A choked up filter will significantly reduce suction and airflow.
I have hx1 for almost three years, it has been used regularly on max power, 20 minutes it last and it is more than enough for my usage. @_Lady_Sicario_ you dodged an artillery shell here. The Miele is a nightmare for pet hair. It has no anti tangle system, so the brush roll and bin constant clog with hair. Plus, you can't wash the filter, and it must be thrown out when it's too dirty.
