Okay I was looking for someone to finally call it out lol. It’s actually really sinister when you put the lyrics and the murders together, goodness it’s scary lol “you’re leavinnnnggg” “It’s a tragedy to see that the dream is over and I will never forget the day I met you girl im going to miss you” 😭💀 bruh nah if they really bumped this at the funeral like the show leads to believe that’s actually super wild 💀
Unbelievable. Monsters, at first, had me laughing upon hearing this song during the parents' funeral video (it was darkly funny, so was the Popsicle and Duckwalk scene, sorry)...but when they used it again during the ending, it actually broke my heart. Amazing, Milli Vanilli is about to have their music reappraised, and Rob isn't here to see it. R.I.P. Rob.
The most searched song in TH-cam right now. This song makes me happy and so sad at the same time. I really really thank Netflix for reviving some true musical gems through their series like Assassination of Gianni Versace, Stranger Things and now this Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. And again, it was 80s that saw most classic and evergreen songs. They are the best.❤
I have never ever felt something as hard as I felt the story of the brothers. It hurts, it has been hurting for 2 weeks straight, I woke up today crying because I was thinking about them yesterday. I relate to them, I had an abusive dad and I remember thinking of poisoning him when I was 11 years old. I hate what happened to them, it is the most unfair thing in the world. I hope they find peace with each others, I hope they have known life for once in their lives.
Whether the sexual abuse was true or not, it was a terrible ordeal for Lyle and Eric to be separated for 22 years. It's very heartbreaking to watch that particular scene in the Netflix series, to be separated from your best friend brother and with whom they had gone through that terrible experience. 😭
I think people rarely lie about sexual abuse, a majority of people that do kilt there parents there was sexual abuse. As it causes rage in the survivor
Imagine the kind of abuse you would have to endure to be capable of killing your parents? I knew from the start so I cannot imagine how psychologists didn’t intervene on their behalf!
I had another song of theirs stuck in my head. Can't recall it and all searches bring this one, cos of Mendez bros. And I know they had more than one hit! Can you help?

As a child that was severely abused and molested.. that movie struck nerve. I am really conflicted about the whole thing. Because I truly believe they were abused and probably molested.. The first trial the jurors didnt agreed with the charges..so it was declared "mistrial", the second trial the judge didnt allowed the SA evidence..none of it! And thats the only reason they murdered them.Their mother knew since they were very young what the father was doing..she even told her own sister, but she wanted secrecy. The mother also started abusing them, when she started grabbing lyle's hand to her private part..including breast😢..
@YouShallNeverKnowMe but they did mean to murder their parents, so your comment about respect is as silly as this song being played at their funeral 🤣🤷🏼♀️
You guys fell in love with killers lol Why do women go crazy for these psychos like Ted Bundy and Richard Ramirez. I’m no nice guy but these people killed other people and these groupies don’t think they’d get the same treatment
After watching the Menendez brothers documentary this song has been stuck in my head. I was listening to it,and my son started singing it. He is 5,and was singing Milli Vanill like he was the third brother in the sports car. lol.
The scene where Lyle and Erik Menendez were in police escort on the way being transferred to 2 different prisons , o manh that broke me! 💔. Did anyone realise the series started with brothers united in limousine and when it came to end they were again on road but had to be separated! 😞
"So, you know what I think when you complain that I hit you, Lyle? It makes me think I didn't hit you hard enough." 😂 A hard truth nobody here going on about how these two don't deserve life in prison wants to admit!

When watching Monsters, at first I thought this song being played for their mom at the memorial service was so disturbing because it didn't match a mother-son relationship, and now going back to the lyrics I totally understand why is resonated with Lyle... "I knew it from the start you would break my heart, But, still I had to play this painful part" "Giving all the love I feel for you Couldn't make you change your point of view" "It's a tragedy for me to see the dream is over" " Now I'm sittin' here, wastin' my time Ijust don't know what I should do" "Im gonna miss you" This song shows all the complex and painful emotions of having a mother you love because she's your mom but who also allowed the father to abuse her children, and sided with him, and was unstable. I'll never be able to hear this song the same way again.
The dad did not let them be alone in their therapy sessions for a reason! So they would not open their mouth. And he told the therapist to not believe anything they say. They really could not escape 😢
I knew it from the start you would break my heart but I still had to play this pain full part you wrapped me round your little bitty finger with your magic smile you kept me hanging on a lovers cross awhile, you put your spell on me took my breath away but there was nothing I could do to make you stay. I'm gonna miss you all the love I feel for you nothing could make me change my point of view. I'm gonna miss you baby.
