I clicked on this video to watch a man eat a muffin, and I was not disappointed. The roller coaster was a nice bonus. Also, very pleased to see Cedar Point’s hotel in great shape!

Same. I rode Top Thrill back in '03 as well, and felt the same way after riding it. "There's not a rollercoaster in the world I can't ride now!" It was an amazing feeling

My Dad introduced my brother and I to rollercoasters at a very young age. I am an adrenaline junkie through and through, but I still get nervous when riding new coasters! Nice meeting you yesterday at the drink station. Had a very bad morning hitting a raccoon and losing all the anti freeze from my car on the way. Thankfully, i have very selfless coaster friends. Its a good thing you didnt show up in crocs. They are not allowed.
@@ifensler I hit the raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy, I swear. It was also on rt 80 before the N Olmstead exit. I'm in the process of finding the parts to fix my car now, and without getting a new front bumper cover, I'm at $787.98. Just parts. I mean, I'm the labor, but still.😭
I remember that time u had a hotel and they walked in on you to work on a sink or something in the middle of the night, wish I knew what episode that was. U teach us so much Jacob haha

Doing a 3-stage rolling-launch probably saves hardware wear and tear and is more comfortable since it doesn't have to plaster riders against the headrest from a standstill, and the transfer track improves loading/capacity since rollback isn't an issue. I assume there might be situations where the second forward climb might not make it all the way over, but they can just launch again.

Looks fun! I rode the original Top Thrill years ago and really enjoyed the launch part of the ride. Zero to over one hundred miles per hour in less than something like 4 seconds. Awesome!
The coaster only goes half-way up on the first attempt. It's a triple-launch coaster. That means you get your initial launch halfway up the tower, then you come back and launch backwards up the rear tower, and then launch forward again for the real deal. Each launch adds some energy. This is to prevent the whiplash of instant acceleration like they used to do.

I know having a similar waist is not a guarantee of fitting, but it could give me an idea.
I went to ride that around 2015 2016 and that’s my favorite roller coaster and now I have to ride it because they redid it and it looks awesome. It’s awesome that you did that.
