Discord’s New Quests Badge! (and how to get it)

Discord has a new badge and I'm going to show you how to get it with the LEAST amount of effort.
Like I kid you not, there is an exploit that allows you to skip Discord quests, saving you the headache of downloading a game that you probably don't want to play. And it's dead simple to do.
But this new Discord quests badge might have a couple of tricks up its sleeve. Like is it a temporary badge? Maybe it's a badge that evolves over time depending on how many quests you do. It's hard to tell what Discord will do with the badge because right now it's probably the most bogus thing I've seen.
Speaking of which, what is the point behind discord adding this badge. It feels like active developer all over again...

UPDATE - READ ME: So Discord is currently trying to patch this. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it will not.
However. Here's a whole bunch of stuff you can do if it messes up.
1. YOU NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE IN THE VC WATCHING YOUR STREAM. I used an alt account because no friends
2. You can just wait an hour and try again.
3. Try running the command in the app. It's a bit of a pain. Be prepared to read. You need to enable devtools on your Discord app to open the console.
There are two methods!
METHOD 1: FAST VENCORD
Download vencord from vencord.dev/
Install it
Open discord (will automatically close if vencord was installed successfully)
Go to settings > vencord > enable react developer tools
Restart discord completely (close it using the task manager)
You now should be able to press Control + Shift + i to open your discord console, then just follow the video from there.
METHOD 2: MANUAL
Press the windows key + r (Win + r), should open a "run" window
Type in %appdata%\discord
Look for the settings.json file, right click and open it in notepad (by clicking edit)
At the top of the file, under the open curly brace ( { ) you need to add "DANGEROUS_ENABLE_DEVTOOLS_ONLY_ENABLE_IF_YOU_KNOW_WHAT_YOURE_DOING": true,
So your file should be

After that, save that bad boy. Open your task manager (control + shift + escape) and close discord.
Open discord again, you should now be able to press Control + shift + I to open the console.
From there, start streaming, enter in the fancy code and you're good!

Small clarification as to why it needs to be done in Browser: On Desktop will Discord force-close the client and do a token refresh whenever you open the dev console. This is primarely to prevent the usual account hijacking through pasting random code in your console, which is kinda nice.
If you do want to use the desktop client, then you'd have to use a modded version where you can disable this feature.

I just took a break from discord for a couple of months it's good to see that there's a new badge
The mention of them becoming public is what has me more concerned honestly, because that is when shit hits the fan usually. Since it will all about getting more and more money to please share holders at the expense of the users.
Yep, and we already know what happened to Roblox when it went public a few years ago, same will definitely happen to Discord if it does the same thing

i was looking at your channel yesterday to find an alternate way to get a discord badge and somehow while browsing TH-cam i finally found it haha, thank you!
Small note; People using AMD GPU might have a conflict using the hotkey, an amd screenshot option will show up instead of the console. To fix that go to your taskbar open the AMD adrenaline, go to settings, hotkeys, and turn off the option that says Use Hotkeys. Re enable it once you're done.

@@gamezboi_ Well by that point you can just use ctrl shift k, that opens the console directly. But since people prefer follow guides of things they not fully understand to the letter (me included) I thought explaining how to disable amd hotkeys was better.
It refused to open for me so I've just opted to opening console on a different website and then go to discord lol
Finally, I can pretend I did the glitch and totally didn't actually stream genshin to a friend

i just renamed my other game's executable to GenshinImpact, and chucked the executable in a win32 folder.
Worked like a charm with my friend being afk
where can I find this folder?
for those on mac struggling, i used vencord and enabled dev tools bla bla and then u just go to the top finder bar > view > developer > toggle developer tools (should have option+command+i) and was able to open console tab and followed the video from there :)
Its fixed on the browser, but if you just press ctrl shift i on the app and do the same process, it will work (You do still have to type "allow pasting" (I found I had to type it after trying to paste, otherwise it didn't recognize it

the cool thing with the badge is that when the game that had the quest is compelted when your playing under your name it say playing genshin impact the badge icon will be at the end
protip: you cannot use it at browser anymore, so install vencord and active the "dev tools" plugin and press ctrl + shift + i in the desktop app and paste the code in the console, that worked to me at the first try and i think it would always work

There was a general freak out when all these articles were saying "Discord is implementing ads!" but I think this is all around a good feature. It makes Discord more money, gives people who care in-game or potential discord rewards, and for those who don't care they can just completely turn it off.
Features like this and the shop (which is arguably worse than this) are not *bad* features. I would take these two over actual ads any day.
And it's not really an "ad" in a sense. Because it's just a small thingy if you not move the mouse over it, and sometimes it not even shows up (so you have to check the gift inventory once in a while to see if you have any new quests). So, idk why people hate it.
I agree. People are actually interested in the product that is being advertised, when the said advertisement isn't intrusive. Kudos to Discord for a proper way to do ads.

The file renaming seems a lot easier and more secure, than running a script.
Even with the script, you still have to stream for those 15 minutes.

Just started it. Took 5 mins to set it up and now im sat in VC deafened while streaming notepad
for reference the 30 primogems the quest offered is the equivalent of 18.75% of ONE SINGULAR pull, you need on average 80 pulls to get the coveted 5 star characters. Literally no one is doing that quest except for the badge

Used to play genshin impact on my phone and hit the f2p wall pretty quick.
The deal was until it forces me to pay money and when it I needed money to progress I uninstalled it.

Cry more please. This quests is literally free stuff for Discord users (you can get discord decors for free with some of them) and free in-game rewards for those who actually play the game that the quest is for. It's a win-win.
