  • This is a review of the Empire Angle Finder. It is an awesome protractor that can be used for outside and inside angles. This is one of the most useful tools that I have ever used to do finishing trim work, and I like the fact that it holds the angle in place when you remove it from the corner!

    I stared at my new packaged tool for three hours and thought it would be impossible to use or learn how to use it.
    I saw 50 seconds of your video and “voila “! I am now an expert.
    Thank you for this information

    It’s an ok video but I think you should have explained different angle degrees on the face after you talked about the function (ie. bevel and mitre). Because who ever looks at this video that person is looking to educate them selves on all the functionality of this tool.

    Everyone explains it the same way. Of course it’s easy to use. Everyone that demonstrates only demonstrates 90 or 45 .

    It would be more informative if you explained the numbers.

    I’ve have one of these and I really like it. I was looking on TH-cam to see how people were using it. Enjoyed the video.

    what about the angle and minute of angle. on the face there is a verneir scale that goes from -60 to 60 how do we read this

    could you show it by checking the angle of a mower blade? Say you need 30 degrees or 45 degrees, will it do that?

    I have one con for this tool in that the 'Tightening' screw (on the backside that connects to the 'Tightening' circular bolt you turn) can easily unscrew on its own and get lost. You will want to tighten the screw before packing away. It has loosened and come off a few time for me until I finally lost mine and I have no idea where or when it came off. Pro--it's really cheap to replace--just annoying.

    Neat tool..Would have been helpful to explain odd angles and transferring to a miter saw.

      Divide the angle it says the wall is by 2 and use that for your miter cuts, like a 30 degree angled wall would get 15 degree cuts for trim to like up

    just bought this tool but no idea how to use it. thanks for the tutoring video. But can you explain why the angle was not precisely 90° when using outer diameter or mine one is not a good quality?

    • @nate4030
      @nate4030 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because you can visibly see the outside cabinet angle over time is no longer a perfect 90 degress also you can see a lip edge jast back a little and it's only 2mm but would off set the angle from 90

    The worst thing is that brass screw getting lost. Being brass, a magnet is no help on finding it in sawdust. They are still made this way. To find the angle on a grinder wheel takes some time to figure out.

    You didn't teach us anything. A 90 degree angle is a perfect angle. You didn't teach us how to read the angles and how to cut on a miter saw.

    Now we know how to find a 90 degree angle. And how to fold it to put it in your toolbox. Video couldn't be more useless, if you haven't watched yet, don't bother.

      Yep, that angle was more like 94 degrees. But I guess his tolerances are a little slacker than mine.

    @1:17 you lost me and I understood you’re just selling a product. 90 degrees is a standard angle. You would be hard pressed to look anywhere and not see a 90 degree angle. 🤷‍♂️

    1:53 "Outside corner is basically a 90 degree angle". Basically 90 degrees is going to work just right when I'm cutting angles in trim, right? You nitwit. Helpful as a kick in the teeth.

    • @nate4030
      @nate4030 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You would clearly go off what it precisely came to on the measurement but he was just showing you quickly how to use it. If you cant distinguish that then I suggest stay away from tools before you hurt yourself

    If you don't know how to read a protractor you shouldn't be doing any wood working. And if you don't know how to read a protractor you need to back to the 8th grade. Give the guy a break.

    • @AK-tx1vg
      @AK-tx1vg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. Those who can't read a protractor needs to go back to elementary school since they skipped one too many classes.

    You helped nobody with this video. This tool is not easy to use like you claim it is. You have no idea at all what the 4 different rows of numbers are for . Pretty much 90 degrees is not helpful. How would i use this too to find miter angles on a 100 yr old octagon building? How do i make sense of all the numbers on there and how do i transfer it to a miter saw? Thats what i need to know. Not "pretty much 90". I dont need a protractor to tell you something is pretty much 90 degrees.

    • @MSC219Official
      @MSC219Official 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you’re not on a 90 degree then take the angle and divide it by 2 that should give you the angle for both cuts. Same with a 90 degree angle you’ll have two 45 cuts
      30 degree wall would have 2 15 degree cuts
