Beautiful playing. I haven't heard much gospel guitar as I am not a man of faith. What I did hear as a kid when I was made to go to church, the guitar was reduced to an instrument with way too much chorus that played triads almost exclusively. What you gentlemen were playing in this video was beautiful and very jazzy. Kudos to you for finding something to believe in as well!

Wow, I actually thinking of quitting Gospel to try Country or Carolina Beach. I've been doing Gospel since 1970. Time for something else.
I love watching Educated hands. I recently was in concert with Thomas Rhyant . His playing is other worldly.
This reminds me My Brothers ,Cousins and myself would get together on a Saturday Morning. We didn't stop until saturday night.
50+ years, that's dedication! It's clear you love music and that's what matters most. I completely get that! Musical exploration is so important, and if you're feeling the pull towards Country or Beach music, go for it! who knows, maybe you'll bring some of that back into your new sound! That's a great question! It's a bit of both, honestly. For me, the core of it is that message of faith and salvation. It's about expressing gratitude and celebrating salvation through music.
