Among all of the gameplay decisions I've witnessed from this fellow, seeing him pick Starter Fluid over Cold Star is what finally broke me.

The grandmaster at the end really overwhelmed him because he was so ready for him with his deck and performance but having the entire board come back screwed his whole flow up

4 of a kind is kinda like 6 different pairs, and 5 of a kind is like 10.

Hmmmm… I was on the commenters side, but if Balatro is sticking to poker definitions, four of a kind can never be two pair. In poker, “two pair” is two different/distinct pairs of cards.
There is no scenario in poker where four of a kind would be considered two pair. (Even if you were playing low hand, it’s still quads.)
Four/five of a kind do however, contain a pair, three of a kind and four of a kind.
