Driving aids mostly slow you down, so it's best to turn them off unless your car benefits from TCS at 1 or 2. It's annoying to have to turn off driving aids for every car, but it's worth it. If I were to do this challenge, I'd likely use the following cars: USA-Dodge Ram (4WD Challenge, Sports Truck Race, NA Cup, Special Conditions events) UK-AC Cars 427 (World Classic, Compact Cup, FR Challenge, Spider & Roadster) Japan-Minolta Toyota 88CV (MR Challenge, GT World Championship) Germany-Ruf CTR2 (Boxer Spirit, Supercar Festival, Turbo Cup, Tuning Car Cup) Italy-Autobianchi A112 Abarth (K Cup, possibly FF Challenge) France-Citroën Xsara Rally Car (FF Challenge) As for how I'd progress, I'd sell the Lupo from completing the B Licence, complete all licences early, and then complete Driving Missions for prize money to buy the Dodge Ram. With the Ram, I could grind enough money to buy all the other cars on the list. If necessary, I could add and swap cars from my list like so: Japan-Honda Beat (K Cup, possibly MR Challenge) Sweden-Volvo S60 (FF Challenge, Volvo manufacturer's event) Korea-Hyundai HCD6 (MR Challenge) France-Peugeot 905 (GT World Championship)

Actually, the Chevy SSR is not as bad as a shout as you though. It's a Truck, it's a Convertible, and once you fully upraded it complete with a Spoiler, it could actually compete on Supercar Festival. JaK did it in his "One Car from Each Decade" Run Also, for Korea, you can actually pick the Proto Motors Spirra for MR or the Hyundai Couper for the FF.
Pro tip: In many of the shorter races that only allows sports tires, buy the soft variant. It will definitely help with grip, and they don't wear out as fast as you might think. Also, turning off driving aids will also improve tyre wear.
That Ginetta with some fine tuning is an absolute beast. If you bought the customizable transmission the top speed wouldn't have been an issue at all (it can do 350 with nitrous on a raceable setup, 400 on a top speed setup (with nitrous))

I feel like you could’ve made better choices. Boxer and 4WD? Get a RUF. It’s not like Germany has much else to offer. Japan? Probably the only country to provide K size cars, so it might just be unavoidable. Italy has great supercars. America is the only place to get a pickup truck. Britain has the A/C Cobra or whatever. I’d get that. If memory serves, in order to complete the Gran Turismo race in beginner events, you must have a FF (K car), FR (AC), MR (whatever you picked in Italy), 4WD (RUF), boxer (RUF), superminis (K car), Cabriolets (AC), and pickups (I’d probably get a Chevy SS or a RAM) This should also cover the professional event requirements, though I’m at a loss for how to win the actual gran turismo cup. None of those cars are going to be able to keep up with LMP cars… Unless there is a country I forgot, which could provide something? So having thought about it, I remember that both Volvo and Hyundai had their own countries. Hyundai has a touring car… same with Volvo. It would be tough as balls, but I think it could be possible. Oh yeah Spain exists. I suppose they can provide a faster than K car FF car. This would be a LOT easier if you went with technically other countries, as then you’d have Holland and all sorts of things. Honestly, I could see myself doing this with Bob only. I love Bob.
I didn't 100% plan this out before I did it, I just thought about the more restrictive events like Boxer Spirit and K Car Cup, bought the Subaru Legacy for the Boxer Spirit, 4WD Challenge etc., then went from there.
FPV and SL 65 aside his choice of cars was pretty smart even tho it wasnt planned also Netherlands only has Spyker which doesn't have a drivetrain listed and any other car would be useful for the events it could enter. Also MR you're better off buying the spirra why would you get an italian car when the a112 is good enough for the k car event
I couldn't find a model for them so I used the Lotus as a substitute for the Ginetta, also I could only get 8 cars in there, and couldn't find anything even close to the Hyundai so I chose to not include it. It's there in spirit at least.

It's always been a favourite of mine since I used to watch the rallycross on Grandstand of a Saturday afternoon in the early seventies, Murray Walker commentating of course, and there was usually a Europa in there. I think the bloke was called David Herridge or something like that, if my ancient memory is working correctly, and I always cheered for him when he was on there. I was a Lotus fan in Formula One, got interested after seeing Graham Hill interviewed on telly, at the time he was teammate to Jim Clark, and thinking he was hilarious. Stuck with them until they collapsed after Colin Chapman was gone, and I've tended to have followed drivers rather than a team since then. Really enjoyed the video, your commentary was brilliant, and I've added a bunch of your other GT4 videos to my watchlist, so I'll be working my way through them gradually over time.

Great video, but what happened with the line-up at the end? No Hyundai or Ginetta, but a Lotus Europa has snuck in there.
