Not sure if i would go as far. I know several people who have given up on Disney Star Wars and not bothered to watch Andor. I've caught a couple episodes only because my brother is watching it. It's good, but I'm still not completely won over. Disney needs to do A LOT better.
@@joshuabekel9700 it wasn't Disney written, idea was pitched pre prequel era but didn't align with lucas vision at the time, rogue one was re-pitched to Kathleen Kennedy through a colleague and was green lit as the first star wars property in universe that wouldn't revolve around OG stars, the show was then green lit when the rogue one creators pushed for andor to be made, this show fought for a long time to be made, isn't being advertised correctly and almost feels like an inside hit on the Disney exects side of things to make it fail as it dosnt align with there family inclusive visions of pushing merch and property's. Andor is a massive success and will probably leave a hole and legacy that won't be filled for another 20 years as its not getting great viewership, not because of its ratings but beacuse the other films/shows have been damaging star wars for so long people can't be bothered to give it a chance, I agree it's not Apex tv/cinema but it's damn good for what it is and has no right to be as enthralling and entertaining but it is! Really hope this is how things are portrayed and made in the future cos andor is a leap above the last 10-20 years of star wars property's. Andor is literally a massive under dog story and irl it's literally the biggest underdog in Star wars history, it needs to succeed!

Think about it, in this show we are literally watching the last five years in a man's life. Now tragedy is nothing new in "Star Wars"...but it is different when it is focused on a single person. That is pretty impactful, even if it is only a fictional character. Just go back and look at pictures, old home movies, footage of any kind, of family and friends that have passed away, look at the dates on those and then look at them...how they lived their lives not knowing when or how the end would come. That's what it feels to me at times when watching "Andor"...
When they release a trailer for Season 2 I could see something similar to this being used, like even the sirens would fit because the final episodes would be pushing close to Rogue One.
It was pretty obvious its gonna be incredible, we knew the cast, we knew its in the works for 4 years and it doesnt relly just on that main character is fan favorite and thats enough for most of the people to watch, so they created incredible story for Cassian Andor.

It's so funny how two of the best things from 2022 were the ones nobody was really eager to watch. Who saw Rogue One and thought this dude needed an entire TV show devoted to him? Who saw Top Gun and through Tom Cruise's flyboy hero needed a sequel? Yet both of them ended up being surprise masterpieces!
Can't wait for S2 to come out. Gonna watch the episodes the minute they come out the same way I did with S1. (Some nights if I was up late enough I actually would do that.)

I have always loved the story of Rogue One, despite critics panning it. And Andor brought back that feeling of fear and excitement, watching each character grow and struggle in the Star War universe. It is the story of the the weakest among us, the common people. Unexpectedly held by destiny's hand. No Jedi, no Sith.
Very nicely done!! I like how much more life it has to it; the original theme is cool, but never really builds up to anything. This one feels like a more complete song :D

Both Obi-Wan and Boba Fett were made for a wider audience a reflected the tone of the Clone Wars. Andor was keeping with the tone if movie in which it was based.

Watching 4 girls hijacking imperial cruiser and killling whole crew without casulties is amsterpiece? And the did it 2 times btw. No Mando is definitely not masterpiece and what woukd you have have in s2 without cameos, some episodes are just about it. Andor is a masterpiece and literally every way. I like Mando, but its much weaker than Andor.
