    Thank You so much for this review. I've been waiting so long to hear your thoughts on this car and you're among the first in The US to get your hands on it. Great job! Loved the music at the beginning, the camera work, the editing and I really didn't see the special effect at 3:34 coming,
    I like the looks of this car. I like the clean greenhouse and the front not only reminds me of the 500 but also a little of the Prorsche Macan.
    Most importantly is that I remember that Roman had said that the seats in the 500 L were hard and very uncomfortable and hearing Nathan state that these seats are extremely comfortable was something that I was waiting for.
    My 2012 Dodge Durango was totaled out when I was struck from behind in January and since I still have my mother's last car ( a 2004 Town Car that I'd found her as a last car before she'd given up driving at 87 years old ) I was waiting until I heard your review because I was very curious about this car and I'm seriously considering it. I've always been a fan of Italian design passion in cars and I love the exhaust notes in Italian cars. I'll still keep the Town Car as my sedan as it only has 25,000 miles on it and it's in cream-puff condition, but this can not only be useful as a hatch/crossover, but fun to drive and more economical than the Townie. I'll be able to keep the Townie in classic shape for years to come. (One for show, one for blow!) Thanks again for such a great review guys! Keep up the great work as not only a great source of information, but at the most entertaining car channel on the tube!

    I have to say, I'm quite pleased to see what Fiat is doing. Though I'm not looking at any of their models at this time (I'm currently in the the compact sedan sport class), I like seeing how CUV's are progressing. Especially as a city dweller who may need to upgrade in size as time moves on.

    I was sold on this AND the Renegade until I saw the top level MSRP's. This and the Jeep should be maxed at 25 loaded. Maybe even 28 grand. I understand they are good inside and out but did they forget about the size of the cars?

      The point of these vehicles is that they can operate like a small/medium sized car but at the same time be able to do proper off road driving.
      If you compare what other Manufacturers have for off road vehicles then you would know they are not that good off road compared to the Fiat 500x.

    I owned a Fiat. It had its share of issues but wasn't too bad. It was an 84 Spyder. The biggest problem was no one knew what they were doing when they worked on it. I bought a brand new MINI Clubman....one of the worst cars I ever had...constant problems....ended up MINI bought back under the lemon law at 8 months old. The other was a VW Passat. In the shop 6 times in 7 months. Engine went bad at 58,000 and the turbo at the same time. I've owned a lot of cars and not once have I had a car with a bad engine. Two of the worst cars I have ever had and bought were German so I'm not too worried about FIAT. My brother just bought a new Colorado truck...spent over $40K...has had constant problems. All manufacturers have issues!!!!!

    I agree with you about the Fiat 500L; I heard their twin-clutch transmission with the 1.4L MultiAir Inline-4 was maddening. How was the Tigershark 2.4L Inline-4 with the 9-speed auto in the 500X? (as compared to the Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Renegade, and Chrysler 200)

    • @tytotheler92

      the reliability tests are based upon opinions and points of view. there is no scientific method involved.
      Consumer Report said that VW TDI was best buy for diesel engines.
      what methods has the CR used to make such claims?
      CR is either too stupid for its own good or extremely bribed. which one is it?

    • @antoniodariodagostino9235
      @antoniodariodagostino9235 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      is there a proper scoring system where it shows what is the maximum grade and lowest?
      if I get 90/100 and the mean is 96/100 and as a consequence of that I get a C for the class, does it mean I was that bad?
      remember even a switch that is placed in a difficult place in the cockpit is consider unreliable. Now, fiat could score hire if it placed switches and touch screens in a more ergonomic manner. it's wrong to use ergonomics to lower reliability scores.

    • @antoniodariodagostino9235
      @antoniodariodagostino9235 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      fiat sells two three models and therefore if one of them as problems, 1/3 of their products are bad.
      now ford focus and mercedes cla have the same transmission problems. however ford and mercedes sell 20 models?
      that means than only 1/20 is bad.
      reliability tests are misleading.

      *I KNOW, OLD COMMENT* The 500X Pop has been the only model with the manual transmission for the past three model years. I say that only because as of this comment, the 2019 model is coming up, and so far I got in contact with two dealers that told me that I could only order a 2019 500X with AWD and the automatic transmission. I'm hoping things change by the time 2019 - the calendar year - rolls in. Also, I'm torn between trading my car - another FIAT - for a 2018 500 hatch or 2018 500X Pop 6MT.
