- This week we fabricated a custom swing arm for our fake Honda Grom. Rally BRZ GIVEAWAY www.grindhardp... Now it is a three wheeler. We also build a custom stunt bar for wheelies and tested it on Ethan's frozen pond. This is my new favorite drift trike!

This is probably one of my favorite episodes, just based on teaching and fun times making memories with good friends.
Please keep the Will's Workshop builds coming! It's fun to watch him work through fabrication and building and have some great and bad ideas along the way. Valuable information for us amateurs, and always entertaining!
Yeah, as awkward as it is to watch an amateur make silly mistakes, Will is probably very similar to the experience level of most of the viewers(me included) and it is interesting to learn some of the simpler stuff that Edwin cuts out when Ethan is building.
I gotta admit this was an awesome and entertaining video, lol that roll over the fence was worthy of a WWE contract though 😂😂

super dangerous but some of the most fun you can possibly have. At one point in my youth we had 4 or 5 honda 3 wheelers and we wrecked every single one.
Fuckit run it that's my motto I got so good on atcs over the 80s n 90s that only times I got in wrecks were on 4 wheelers !
even as a child i knew 3 wheeler's were the most sketch thing on the planet. very cool

Watched the whole vid once at normal speed and again at 1.25 and I'm 100% convinced your show would look better at 30fps. Just use a 1/40th shutter speed to bring back a bit of lost motion blur that your typical 30p 1/60th will get you.

Edwin you grew up in wrong era . Three wheelers were never too safe and that's what we loved. But we did know no brakes ment big crash even back then lmao. But we never lost a shoe crashing 🤣😂😅

At that point you should just make the rear axle your self since 300$ quad would be useful as is. Also quad would be less dangerous compared to that thing. Well least good excuse to make something less tippy and build the quad with proper stance, much wider and maybe extend wheel base so you cannot tip it over how ever much you try. Much better for some kid young or old :D.

On a non driven tire, asymmetrical studing is not necessary at all. Even on a driven tire there’s no gain as long as you don’t lose grip and spin the tire. And even then the gain is almost nothing as the tire will move slightly sideways.

The reason motorcycles are far more stable than this type of three wheeler is because when you lean a bike into a turn and it rides on the side of the tire your center of mass stays in the wheelbase and the centrifugal force balances with center of gravity keeping the polar moment of inertia stable as long as the side of the tire holds traction. If the speed is not enough to maintain centrifugal force it will fall into the ground, if traction is broken it will wipe into the ground. However this style of three wheeler cannot lean into a turn so the centrifugal force generated in the high center of gravity will pull the bike over because the center of mass is high and is only balanced in a straight line.

Please buy a pre engineered building and buy a lot of tools and machines to go inside. Cnc tube bender with laser cutter, cnc 7 axis mill, cnc 7 axis lathe… would basically make everything you create a very professional end product that can realistically be manufactured…. Commmonnn you’re getting enough money from youtube to get a loan for all of it!

if you would shorten the front to rear wheel base and make the rear end like 6” wider i feel like it would be more like a real 3wheeler and not such a straight line machine.

I laughed out loud when he tried putting out the fire with the hammer. Premium fire extinguishing skills.
Also that bike frame was not designed to handle torsional stress. You need to beef up your swing arm and potentially reinforce the frame or modify the swing arm to flex. If you can pull that off and enable the machine to lean into turns even a little bit it will help with that high center of mass/death machine thing it currently has going on.

You guys are *really good* at computer generated graphics now. In the first minute I totally thought you were chasing after a quad that crashed into a truck and building. Then at 5:30 the over the bars crash into the fence...looked so real I could feel the pain.
That being said, I'm glad none of these things really happened because you are always safe and careful when testing. 🚑⚠😧

Ethan's drift pond is pretty cool. and Edwin is the wheelie master, I remember when he learned how to do wheelies on the Sur-Ron.
The lighting and the snow just made the pond part extremely visually pleasing.
