I keep a gauss rifle for when I get low. Just run some expeditions or daily ops with it. Thousands of 2mm in no time. Doesn't last long with that minigun though
On my bloodied heavy gunner I‘m using a bloodied faster fire rate gauss minigun. It’s absolutely amazing. I made a bloodied gauss shotgunner build to farm ammo during daily ops. Took me a while to get a good gauss shotgun, vampire more damage when aiming. It’s a good way to farm ammo, I can really recommend it. And you only have to switch the heavy gunner perks for shotgun perks.
I do the same thing but with the Gauss Rifle and I have a Bloodied Firerate with the Cloaking effect doing around 250 damage without the Prime Capacitor with my Overeaters Hellcat, I also use it with criticals so canned coffee and cakes which do run out pretty quickly unfortunately but tears bosses pretty quickly but I love to hear that someone else has the same idea.
for the ammo, best thing to do imo is just craft ultracite ofr it as you get way more, a few flux with perks gets you set for a while, also its ammo is fairly easy to craft as it only needs two basic components, nothing fancy, still the main downside of the gun but still. You were saying the fire rate can be too high and you have issues at range, you can remedy both of these by just using the standard barrel, you get slightly lower rof and laser like accuracy at range, its one of the most accuracte heavy guns, highly recommend having a standard barrel version for hte day to day hexa barrel is still more dps for anything large though
@@DadPlaysStuff becouse its not in the open world the 250 item looting cycle does not apply so if u go in to oberons office loot the ammo log off log in u can keep doing it u will get like 300-350 rounds per minute or less ;p
I was fortunate enough to get the plan in loot somewhere along the line to lvl 84. First roll was 2 shot, +50% critical damage and -25% AP cost. I play full health so I was pretty happy with the roll...the RNG usually hates me. As others have stated, you never get back in loot even a fraction of the ammo this gun uses.
i hate the spin up time.. they should make it so that you spin the barrel with a different button, separately from the fire button. That way you can keep it spinning and when you press the trigger it will immediately fire.. There was another game that did it that way, can't remember what game it was though.
The silly thing is that the mini gun spin up effect is ONLY found in games. Actual real-life mini guns spin and fire simultaneously, but almost every dev since the dawn of time either hasn't realised this or keeps the delay in deliberately to nerf the gun.

If its the green one its skel scream head, with cryptic torso and mistress of mystery arms and legs. If its the red one its cryptic head and arm blood Eagle torso and legs with one arm that I can't remember I'll tell you when I'm home xD
Friend, you need to revisit this gun and slap explosive on it with the new legendary crafting system. I also recommend single barrel, You wont go through ammo as fast AND it increases its range. double explosive AA gauss mini gun is NASTY!

First one I made was a quad then got a bloodied drop from an event ten minutes later. Handy since I've been getting unyielding so armour drops so decided to go bloodied after all, it really does shred pretty much everything it gets pointed at an I'm not even close to optimised for heavy weapons 😂
I just had one drop for me in an expedition that is anti armor, fire rate, and +1 something, I think perception, what mods would you suggest for it? I need to buy some for it
Hi. Thanks for the video. My impression has been that the gauss minigun is not as powerful as the gatling plasma and that it's a crazy ammo hog. My experience with the gauss shotgun, for example, is you get far more ammo back than you expend, and it can do similar damage with just a few shots. At least, that's been my experience.
and they are nerfing the cremator... heavy weapons are the worst to play since i need to spend a lot more resources to use. they need to ajust it or the game will be 99% commando builds
@@MostCoolestNameI wouldn’t say pistols are BAD, they just need to be buffed a little I think, and one handed melee isn’t bad either. All melee weapons are viable if you have the right build

The weapon is a ballistic weapon with an additional explosive effect so no its not an explosive weapon in the same way weapons with the explosive 2nd star arent explosive, the explosive weapons are grenade launchers,rocket launchers,nuka gun and mininukes Also I think it also gets damage boosts from science perks too.
It's trash.. Nearly broke it trying to kill a single plain wolf.. Had to melee the rest .. And the . 50 I pulled subscription over the weapons and loss of rss it took days to aquire over a dog..
They need to buff the ammo drop for 2mm like with 5mm

I have a twoshot damage whilst aiming 15 reload GMG, and it shreds. Love it

There should not be a spin up time if you have the default barrel on. It would be a pretty cool balance.🤔

u could do the vault 63 thing loot the 200+ rounds from 1 box and 2 boxs of 50 from v63 reload rince repeat
takes like 1 minute each time u do it

So bullet speed is a thing too, easy to miss more with gatling plas at range in my experience than the gauss. Also explosive is grreeeeat!

its already like that, pistol builds are bad, one hand is bad, its either 2h melee, big guns, or commando. a lot of stuff needs buffed imo
