I fished at the port regularly since the early '60s as a teenager. Left Raymondville after high school in 1971 to see the world. Still visit the port when on vacation from my home in San Diego. I miss the quiet country life. My friend Gary lives at the port. Lucky old hound dog.

My grandfather used to live on those boats a long time ago. Wonderful life.

Boy, you made me homesick, My brother-in law has a farm you drove pass and had a seafood rest. there. My best fishing spot in my entire life is there. One Christmas break when I was in High School *many years ago) 5 of us caught 49trout and a sheep head, Not sure how he got in there but it was absolutely great place.

Port Mansfield is my weekend home. Whenever work and college work don't have me crazy busy I am at my place over there. Really great town and awesome fishing.
